They waited until the very last minute to confirm insurance causing services to be pushed back an entire week, stalled on shipping ashes the same day payment was made, and then had the nerve to complain about their staffing shortages like that was my problem. Let me be clear -- when a family is grieving, they don't want excuses, they want compassion and professionalism. I even called and left a message for the owner, and to this day have NEVER received a call back. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how little they value families in their care. The only bright spot was Carl -- the ONLY person at this establishment who acted like he had some sense and helped hold us together during this chaos. Honestly, I wouldn't let them bury my goldfish. You'd be better off buying an acre of land, grabbing a shovel, lighting a bonfire, and burying your loved one yourself. That would be handled with more care than what we experienced here. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. Your loved one deserves way better.

They anticipated our needs--offering tissues, fanning us as we cried, and gently supporting the casket when I leaned on it in grief. The presentation of our loved one was beautiful. The orchestration of the pallbearers was flawless. Every detail, from subtle gestures to major transitions, was handled with best-in-class excellence. They directed our motorcade from church to final rest without a single disruption. Not one. Their vehicles--spotless and seemingly brand new--reflected extraordinary attention to detail. They handled my fathers funeral the a few years back.And did a great job from start to finish.They…read morewere at at the house at 730 am to pick my father up to take to the funeral home.My passed at home peacefully in his own bed during the late night hours.But they where right there and they walk you threw the whole process very professionally and compassionate.We had the viewing of my father at the Gebhart .I was so nervous to see my father lying in a casket the before when you go to see the work they did on him and it was amazing as walked closer it is a big room and as i got up to him he looked as if he was dressed to the nines and was taking a nap such a relief came over me as he looked so peaceful and amazing job they did.And there staff A+for them also very professional.they handled setting up the mass at HolyRosary Church who also did a great there.To the burial at lawncroft croft cemetery they even set up the after gathering for the family and friends to attend at a wonderful restaurant in PA so all in all they did a great job in the experience my family received from them.... I could write pages about how wonderful Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home was in caring for my…read morefamily during our time of grief. We physically lost two loved ones, and we would not go to anyone else but Strano & Feeley. The excellent customer service begins with the initial home call, taking possession of the deceased loved one (e.g., at home or hospital), then the intake meeting with the family. The clean calming atmosphere starts outside (e.g., fishpond) then continues inside with comfortable furniture and smiling staff to greet you. No matter which staff you receive for the intake meeting, they all conduct themselves with professionalism, care, and provided clear information on the various options. As a grieving loved one, I'd suggest you come to the table with your grief but an open mind and patience with your loved ones present with you and the staff. What I appreciated was for one loved one- we had all the answers prepared, for the other we were figuring out as we went along- staff provided time and space in the intake meeting for us to calmly figure things out. Having someone take notes in the family to compare with the staff's notes is always useful - they were always on point anyway but it's good to remember what you ordered and they will provide you a folder with information from the initial session as well. Any insurance or cemetery logistics were handled on the phone right away by the staff in the first session - which was amazing to watch them navigate the complex systems of care. We had a loved one cremated and another buried in a nearby state - the funeral home still took care of everything, just be sure to provide your photos, music and obituary timely. Nothing was overly complicated and if it was, they never showed it, just showed up for us in every way - we had no worries. When it was time to collect our loved one's things (e.g. urn or possessions not buried) they provide you with a beautiful bag of memories, some unexpected, that showed more care than we could have imagined. By the end of our grieving season this summer - this had become not only a funeral home but an appendage to our family. The staff will forever be a part of our loved ones' legacy. P.S. I would highly recommend the nearby Atterbury VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3420 for a repast and their regular caterer Ms. Lori. Everyone was such a blessing and joy to work with, and they took care of absolutely everything including décor and the food was delicious. Such as acknowledgment of who sent what flowers, who sent plants. I asked for acknowledgment of senders and also for the cards so that thank you could be sent. Instead the cards were taken and given to someone else. When I finally saw the card that funeral home prepared when they get deliveries it was blank. All boxes on what was received such as a spray, a bouquet, plant, etc was left BLANK! Who does that, not professional. I didn't like the lack of attention to detail with body. I never saw plastic sticking out of the sleeves, etc at any other funeral or viewing. I won't say anything about the total end result of the face.

This place was really nice, the staff was wonderful, the setup was great, the parking was convenient, and the service orchestrated well. Once again, the staff was just top-notch from greating guests at the entrance to orchestrating the service like clockwork, providing water, etc. Now, I don't have any ties to the state of Delaware, so there would be no reason for me to be memorialized at this place when I go, but I did make it clear to a family member that if something happened to me, I would like the service to be held at a similar type funeral home.
