It was quickly dried and styled in center or side parts, with lots of volume, lift and swing. Elegant and easy. Derek said he couldn't understand me. I should have left immediately. What I have now is an inexplicable cut, 2-5 " off, barely chin length, huge amounts of hair removed, wispy layers everywhere, and texturizing. He has activated a mass of waves and curls never seen before. From the front, the shape is a cartoonish wide diamond. From the sides, a fat wedge. This is the opposite of what is required for copious, European, fine, porous hair with a nape curl and minimal wave. Derek basically has created a White girl Afro. He somehow dried it beautifully, disguising the weird architectural structure by using a tiny brush on myriad narrow strands, drying them straight, and contorting them via elaborate manual sculpting techniques, product and nearly an hour of work. Maybe he planned to do twice-weekly blowdries on it. I have spent many days and dollars elsewhere experimenting with product, techniques and professional advice while attempting to cope. Derek pleasantly refunded the charges and apologized for the "inconvenience." This is far worse than inconvenient.

She said, any appointments that are 10 mins late are rescheduled." it was still 4:08 it was an excuse as she was still working on someone else. She then gave me the option to be a work in, "maybe she would be able to call me back in 20 mins" or I would have to reschedule to another day. I had taken the day off for this appointment and her demeanor was very unprofessional.

I use to have such, amazing thick hair. Then I got dx with a thyroid dz. Which, if you do not know, can make your hair thin. However, I went today, and Maria was AMAZING!
