It has been a while since I wrote my first review and since then, we have become regulars here and, therefore, time for me to update my review. As I have discovered in the last few months ordering things that are not popular or unusual from Indian restaurants is, a "hit and miss" and I have stopped trying to order things I ate in India. Maybe it is because of lack of demand and not enough practice making it. The dishes like Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Roganjosh and others are always excellent and the naan and rotis are served nice and hot and taste fabulous. The service has improved significantly and it has made for a great experience in recent times. We go back here regularly and have enjoyed it each and every time. I also discovered they make a proper Indian Chai here that is, spicy, milky, sickly sweet and served super hot....wunderbar :-) took me back to the streets of Mumbai instantly :-)) read more

Indian in Germany? It DOES exist!! Just when I was losing faith in finding a decent Indian place here in Germany, Dhaba came to the rescue. It came oh-so-close to earning my first 5-star, but since their mixed grill plate didn't completely wow me last time (it was still really good), I am only dishing out 4.5-stars. Spiced just right, their currys (and other sauces) are definitely making me hungry in front of my laptop right about now.. Add some good dips and decent naan, non over-the-top decor and friendly servers and you've got the complete package my friend. Dangerous to come here without a reservation, so plan ahead and you'll thank me later. read more

High quality ingredients and tasty curry. Every time I travel to Germany I get the duck because for some reason it isn't outrageously priced like it is stateside. Portions were good and the to go packaging was great. Enjoyed a nice mango lassi while I waited for my order. read more

We had a more the unpleasant experience at Dhaba. It took over an hour to receive our appetizer, let alone the food, and the restaurant was not busy (perhaps 20% full) when we had ordered. The tables on both sides of us ordered 20 minutes and an hour later and still received their food before us. No waiter paid any attention to us or whether we received anything. The food was subpar. Our appetizer -- the Gemischte Tandoori Vorspeisen für 2 -- is advertised as vegetables and chicken served in Tandorri preparation. At best, we received a terrible salad (TO SHARE) with lettuce and maybe 7 pieces of chicken, which costs 11€. For our entree, we asked for more rice, which we saw other tables do during our wait, and was never brought any. It was a shame to spend our money and waste our evening at such a restaurant with so little care for their customers. Would definitely not recommend!! read more

Dhaba is a great Indian restaurant in Munich. I have been to alot of similar restaurants, however I feel that Dhaba ranks the highest on my list. I can personally recommend the Mango Chicken and garlic and cheese Nan. My friends had ordered the curry chicken along with a fragrant pineapple rice. All of our dishes were very flavorable and delicious! Definitely a must-eat! read more

After reading the great Yelp reviews, I was dying to try Dhaba for myself. Finally I did and I can't say I was disappointed. For me, it lived up to the reviews. It's a decent size place, for Munich, that gives you a 'real Indian' feeling, including the temperature. :-) it wasn't too hot, actually I love being on the warmer side, but with a winter sweater on I was borderline sweating by the end of my meal. The service was very friendly and good. I am usually a bit skeptic of Indian food since I have a o.o1 spice tolerance and often say that "medium" salsa is too spicy. However the waiter said they could make the Chicken Tiki Masala not spicy, so I ordered it. The entire wait for its arrival my husband was making me nervous saying it would be too spicy, but to my delight he was wrong! It was wonderful!!! Not spicy, but extremely flavorful! We ordered the garlic nan bread too, which I would highly recommend. Great food, in a nice place with good service. Next time I would just wear a thinner shirt. :-) Oh yeah, reserve ahead, I was shocked how full it was. read more

Dhaba is (so far) my favorite Indian restaurant in Munich. The service is always friendly and attentive, even when the place is packed which it is often. I come here regularly and have to say that the quality of the food is always good-sometimes even excellent. The prices are completely normal for non-fast food Asian restaurants, especially in Munich. The restaurant is thankfully almost devoid of Indian kitsch decoration, the red walls and huge vases with fresh flowers on each side of the bar make it comfortable and warm without being overwhelming. Dhaba gets really crowded even during the week on most days, unless it's one of the first warm days of the year when all of Munich runs into one Biergarten or the other. So it's always a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation, even if only an hour or two in advance. All in all I have yet to find a better Indian restaurant in Munich. For Panjabi cuisine this is the best I know! read more

Certainly as good as Indian food gets in Munich! Four stars for the food. +1 for the relatively non-kitschy decor, friendly and attentive staff, and excellent service. The menu is full of time-tested staples of Punjabi cuisine, and there isn't much here that will pique the interest of those looking for unusual dishes, but what you will get is carefully prepared and pleasingly spiced Indian food. Parking around Dhaba is a real pain in the ass and you will be better off taking public transport. read more

This was REALLY disgusting, A chicken biryani without any chicken, but lots of vegetable rubbish from the dust bin. I will never again eat here (again, today I did not swallow) and I hope the rats in the kitchen won't either. STAY AWAY read more

Delicious Indian food, reasonably priced and very friendly service. The place is full (at least on week-ends) so book ahead.

I have never been to India but this was the best Indian meal I have had (i'd give it a 4.5). The service was fantastic, all the staff was friendly and highly attentive to little details like offering papadum and dips as well as an alcohol and chocolate as they open the door for you on the way out. The naan is perfectly thin and the masala perfectly spiced. Dal soup was great and biryani was not too dry or moist. Definitely recommend this place to others, thanks for the memorable meal Dhaba! read more

While vacationing in Munich this place offered a nice break from the standard Bavarian fare. The atmosphere was lively and the food was good. It's not the best Indian food I've had but it definitely satisfies the craving. read more

Ich gehe sehr gerne und häufig indisch essen. Das Restaurant serviert hervorragendes, authentisches Essen und ist für mich vor dem Restaurant Swagat am Prinzregentenplatz das beste indische Restaurant in München. Mein persönliches Lieblingsgericht ist das Kadai Chicken. Da Dhaba oft sehr gut besucht ist, ist eine Reservierung insbesondere am Wochenende zu empfehlen. read more
