Lazy, irresponsible delivery drivers, and a lot of buck passing. I wasted a day staying home waiting for a package. When I called about it at the end of the day, I was told that "the customer REFUSED the package" Since I was home the entire time, and nobody even rang the bell, how could I have refused anything? The operator suggested that maybe it wasn't delivered because they didn't have the buzzer code or because I stepped out for a minute. Well, I spent the whole day at home today, and I guess I'll have to waste another day or they'll return it to sender. After spending over $200 on DHL's courier services, the least they could do is at least ATTEMPT to deliver the darned package. Overpriced and frustrating. Nobody wants to take any responsibility, and blames the customer -- I did my part. I was home to meet the delivery -- just nobody showed up! The only thing good I can say about DHL is that they haven't damaged any of my packages yet. Actually getting my stuff is an exercise in frustration though. I'd give no stars if I could, but that's not an option. --- More non-delivery and buck passing. This time, they blamed the customs fees (not the case, as I'd paid them in advance online) A manager offered to look into the problem and call me back and to call back if I hadn't heard from him by 5:00. Well, no call, and 5:00pm is apparently after closing, so that was a waste of time. I got through the next morning and got a pointless apology and an "offer" of a partial refund on the shipping, but he passed the buck so well, he should be working for NHL.ca. He claimed that since it wasn't paid for through DHL.ca and the seller was the one that directly paid the company, I'd have to get the seller to make the request -- a note would be put in the file saying that the offer was made. Not surprisingly, this totally fishy offer was total BS. DHL.hk blames DHL.ca (and rightly so) since the problem was with the Canadian drivers, so the refund was denied. DHL.ca won't take responsibility because it was shipped out from DHL.hk and the fees were paid to DHL.hk. So the offer of a partial refund due to craptastic service was as worthless as the rest of his promises. A third attempt was scheduled, but it was suggested that I authorize them to leave it with building security (since I couldn't stay home 3 days in a row). Apparently, it's too much work for their drivers to push a button and go past the first floor despite being paid to do so. Finally got my shipment, but my opinion of DHL gets worse each time I talk to anyone from customer service, and based on how even their manager handled things, it seems that crappy service, buck passing, and broken promises are in their corporate culture from top to bottom. I must say, I have had difficulty with DHL in the past but the customer service has been pretty decent. This time round I ordered a couple packaged on express as myself and a friend needed pieces for a wedding that happened last Saturday Feb 3 and since have NOT received them I called early last week asking for a drop location which was done, and neither of the packages arrived on Friday Feb 2nd. I called customer service and the lady said they were on the truck but I could pick them up on Saturday 24hours from now to grab them both. I return on Saturday and nothing.... the guy tells me they don't do drops on Saturday?!?! I don't understand why customer service told me that otherwise i would of drove out to Richmond to pick them up! So not only did we not get our gifts in time for the wedding but I was told to return on Monday and they should be there. I return.... and no packages. I call customer service again and speak to a nice guy who tells me the previous rep closed my ticket before it was dealt with or something. He tells me my one package is there at the drop spot and the other one should be there on Thursday Feb 8th. He tells me there was an issue with the operating system or something. I go to DHL drop spot today, and there are 3 guys working (2 who were trying to help me before). I give them my 2 Waybill numbers and they still cant find my packages!!!!!!!! All three of them checked for me which was amazing of them and they sent head office an email for me as well which is great (Howe Street location- great guys) i call customer service again and the new Rep is trying to locate my packages.... So not only did myself and my friend not have our gifts for our wedding but the packages are over a week and a half late and they both have $70 total of duty, which is complete BS that I have to pay for that and even pay for price of my parcels which cost around $300 total since its too late to give to the bride and groom. I am beyond disappointed with my experience, although each person was nice the communication system between all service clearly needs improvement. I am now waiting for a call at 5:30pm (if they remember to call me) to see where my parcels are....if they are found. Worst experience. read more

This courier has the worst mail delivery service I have ever experienced in my life. So their delivery truck breaks down, or so they say, and therefore a day is wasted staying at home to wait for them to deliver the package. I need to pay the courier in cash so I cannot leave the payment outside while I'm out. Then the next delivery day I wait all day again yet I found out on the online tracking page that the courier has noted they knocked on my door and left me a sticker, when they have done no such thing, I was at home the time of their supposed arrival and ho one showed up and there was nothing on the door. I call them up to complaint about the falsification of the record, it turns into a he said she said. After admitting that they have GPS on the trucks, I tell them to check that the GPS on the truck says that the driver was at my place at that time of day they said they were, to verify my claim that the driver falsified records, but they do not care to do so. This causes me to think that the claim that the mail courier had a physical problem with the truck the other day was also not true. Then I schedule with them a delivery for the day after the next day, and the call center person confirms with me the date of the delivery, two days from the day of the latest phone call. Only the very next day I find a sticker on my door, that the mail truck was there that day, which was not when I told them to deliver it. I call them up and they claim they have no record of the appointed date of delivery they had earlier confirmed with me. And furthermore they said they no longer had my street type name in their file. Wow. So I schedule with them yet another attempt to deliver the package, and we agree again on a date and time window for that date of delivery. Only on the very day of delivery I receive a call from them that they will not deliver it to my place within the time window I had previously agreed to be home to receive the package. So three days of my life wasted with these clowns. These people clearly have a criminal disregard - even hatred - for their customers. They should be shut down or if that is not possible, then everyone should be forewarned not to use them. read more

I ordered a golf club from a Canadian company that uses DHL Express. The item (1 pkg, 2 lbs) was shipped on June 8; On June 9th the shipment was on hold at Cincinnati Hub; on June 10th the status was Processed for clearance, which I believe was customs; from June 10th through June 15th the shipment sat at the Cincinnati Hub because it could not clear customs; the status said additional information was needed; I would be contacted. No contact. I finally got in contact with customer service and they said the shipment was missing a "commercial invoice" and asked me to send a copy. Well a commercial invoice is prepared by the shipper and is a detailed document used in customs processing. Finally DHL Express contacted the shipper via a DHL agent assigned to the shipper on June 16th. That night it cleared Customs and DHL Express sent me an Invoice and said pay it or your package will be sent back to the shipper. The invoice contained the following line items MERCHANDISE PROCESSING 27.33 IMPORT EXPORT DUTIES 63.45 ADVANCE PAYMENT 17.00 BONDED STORAGE 62.00 I sent an email to DHL Express and the shipper asking for an explanation; the shipper responded that they had attached a copy of the "commercial invoice" to the package and sent a copy via email for the shipment. DHL Express has not responded. I can only surmise that DHL Express lost the original, commercial invoice resulting in the shipment being delayed and then they had the gall to charge me for the costs associated with the delay. I asked the following question in my email to DHL Express " A charge to me for "Bonded Storage" of $62.00, is outrageous; since the delay at Customs was never my fault. The delay was because of a missing "Commercial Invoice" - either the "shipper", Tour Experience Golf neglected to provide it OR they did provide it and DHLExpress lost it. In any case it took DHL Express three days to ask the shipper to provide it; Tour Experience Golf has an assigned DHL Express agent - why did it take so long? read more

I am writing this review to express my sheer disappointment with DHL's service, which has proved to be nothing short of a nightmare. Our journey of frustration started on May 23rd when our shipment departed, only to be sent to the wrong address by May 30th. We immediately contacted customer service who assured us that the issue would be rectified and rescheduled. Instead, we were led on a merry-go-round of delays, misinformation, and empty assurances. Despite paying promptly on May 26th, we found our package stuck in limbo, with our inquiries redirected to various people, including a team lead named Fiona, who seemed more intent on buying time than finding solutions. Fiona's updates from June 1st to June 8th were a string of empty promises with "48 hours processing time" turning into an excruciating wait of over a week. Finally, on June 9th, we were given some hope that our shipment had reached the delivery facility in Brampton and was due for delivery "on Monday at the earliest." However, this proved to be another hollow assurance as the package failed to arrive on the said date. Each update from Fiona was followed by unfulfilled commitments and unclear communication. It was a perpetual cycle of waiting and escalating, with no end in sight. The culmination of our frustrating ordeal arrived on June 14th when the issue was passed to another team lead, Afroz, who dropped the bombshell - our package was lost! In conclusion, the level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability shown by DHL has been astounding. To say that we're disappointed would be an understatement. We had to endure weeks of stress and frustration due to DHL's mishandling and miscommunication. This has been, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience we have ever encountered. The delivery address for my parcel is linked to multiple stores, so I called them to give them the name of the specific store. The DHL rep refused to update the delivery address if I don't pay import fees. I never said I wouldn't, I was transferred to a manager that wasn't sure she could update the shipping information at all. She said, she needed to put in a request etc. I then received a weird email from the department, it was full of typos, the email didn't make sense at all. I called the direct line listed on the email. Rep #1 refused to allow me to speak to a manager because according to her my reason wasn't good enough to be transferred. Rep #2 was actually understanding but the manager he transferred me to had comprehension issues, and was talking to me like I was refusing to pay import fees. When that was never an issue. I told him, I felt like I've been treated like a thief refusing to pay import fees, when this was not the issue. He then had the audacity to get offended, and tell me not to put words in his mouth. I was trying to explain how I feel about the way I'm being treated, after spending hundreds of dollars on this order, and just wanting to make sure it actually gets to me. I've decided to contact the seller and request that my order be returned for a full refund. I will never again deal with any company that uses DHL, not even for my business. I warned the seller about this when I made the order. DHL is disrespectful, unprofessional, and they go out of their way to give you a terrible experience. read more

J attend un colis depuis 3jours ! Je précise que je ne serais plus là à partir d'en de 17h et demande si mon voisin peut récupérer le colis on me répond que oui si je laisse une note sur ma porte. Le soir j'en regarde le suivis et il est inscrit que le livreur est passé à 17h45 mais aucune Réponse (alors que là personnes que j ai eu au téléphone m'a bien dis qu elle passerait le message) le sur lendemain je les rappel encore !!! Cette fois on m apprend que j ai des frais de douanes à payer et qu on va essayer de me livrer aujourd'hui ! 2h après on me rappel pour me dire que ce n est pas possible aujourd hui que ça ira dans 3j mais qu il faut que je paye les frais de douanes avant ce que je refuse biensur vue leur incompétence et l incertitude que je reçoive mon colis! Finalement on me dit que je vais être livré lundi entre 11h et 20h donc obligé de rester chez moi le 23 décembre ! C est bien connu on a juste ca à faire un 23 décembre ! The most unprofessional delivery service I have ever encountered. Dropped the package at the wrong house, despite being instructed not to leave the package without a signature. I had to walk up and down my neighbourhood to match the photo "proof of delivery" to the address where they had left it. Unfortunately that was 3 days later, because I was away when the package was delivered. I tried a couple of times to retrieve it when I was in town, but I travel for work for days at a time, and ultimately it is DHL's job to deliver packages to the right address. I had to tell them where they had actually left it, and after a few half-hearted attempts to retrieve it - apparently sending a driver around once in awhile to knock on the door - they declared it "lost". I did finally have an opportunity to speak with the owner of the house where it was left, but of course they did not have it. Had this been dealt with professionally I would not be writing this review, but they then had the gall to ask me to complete a load of paperwork to get my pre-paid duties back. Seriously. The shipper in contrast dealt with this professionally and was most helpful in trying to follow up as well. In summary - avoid DHL Canada unless you have no choice at all. read more

Absolutely useless customer service! Bunch of complete buffoons who couldn't locate the side of a shipping freighter on a dry dock, with GPS, road flairs and smoke signals, if it fell on them! They can't figure out what either side of the A$$ is doing (I'd say the head but seeing as they have no bloody head or brains a double a$$ will do). I don't have much love for many couriers but the utter and blatant hatred I have for this company would put Westboro Baptist church to shame and clamoring for my autograph and to lead their next sermon. If a meteor came down and struck DHL headquarters I would host a giant rave in celebration on the still burning wreckage, rejoice in the knowledge that this skid mark of a company would hopefully collapse to infighting as the warring DHL factions lay claim to the rubble of their service (HA!) points, outdated technology, pass it on techniques and general structure. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with DHL that has left me deeply frustrated and anxious. Despite having a signature requirement on my package, DHL chose to leave it at my front door without my permission. As a result, the package was stolen. This incident occurred after I purchased items on Black Friday, and even though I received a refund, the emotional toll and inconvenience are immeasurable. Adding to the frustration is the appalling customer service I encountered. DHL initially posted a picture of the package at my front door, only to delete it later. Now, they claim it was handed to a person, even though I live alone in my apartment. This situation has not only cost me financially but has also created unnecessary stress and anxiety. I expected more from a reputable courier service like DHL, and this experience has made me question their reliability and professionalism. I to wish to join the growing chorus of complaints against DHL over the additional duty and processing charges this company indulges in. I was recently charged $21.53 CAD on a very small electronic item that I paid $57.23 CAD for. I had already paid the merchant a $14 CAD shipping fee. I have contacted the merchant and warned them of this practice by DHL and was promptly refunded the amount charged by DHL. This company obviously thinks the cost benefit ratio of over charging out ways its reputational cost in the world of business which is short sited to say the least. This is the only shipping company I have dealt with that indulges in this practice and I will be contacting merchants in the future to clarify that this company will not be part of our transaction. Overall, pretty terrible experience. I ordered some items from Australia, which arrived in the GTA very quickly. I'm not sure if DHL was the shipper through the entire process, but I know they were the shipper while my package was in Canada. My package was in the GTA for a week, longer than its transit from Australia to Canada, before I got my package because: a) The driver could not find my house (you'd think a logistics company would be good at this sort of thing) b) Picking it up from one of their locations was not an option (for some reason...) I received three phone calls over this one week period from different DHL employees, asking for directions to my house. Seriously...? So another day of sitting waiting on my delivery. DHL Brampton needs to get it together. I got a phone call stating that my delivery should come between the time of 1-9 I've been sitting in my lobby since 11am waiting on my delivery got fed up at 3 and decided to go bk online to see what's going on only to find out that the delivery man said I wasn't home , why would the delivery come before the time period given. I don't know what's this delivery person problems but this is bad customer service. Well my advice is if you're business owner looking for a carrier service Do Not Pick DHL this is an unreliable service you will lose business. I would pay triple to use any other service, hands down the worst shipping provider in North America. I pay COD as soon as I'm notified, I provide a signature to expedite the process in the event I'm not home. 3 days in a row on EXPRESS shipping they claim failed delivery as I'm not home... The buzzer provided works, I tested after the "first delivery attempt", I've been home all week, it's been raining so I'm assuming the drivers sit in the truck and just update that no one is home. If you feel like a good laugh or to add some salt to your wounds, contact the live chat, they're super helpful.... DHL is the worst shipping company I have ever dealt with. They consistently hold packages at the border and force customers to pay exorbitant duties and fees to release them--fees that were never disclosed upfront. This feels like nothing short of a scam. Multiple times a year my DHL parcels are on hold without explanation. Then I see my parcels from China coming through Cincinnati to Alberta, where they get stuck for several days. No response from the customer support. Tracking shows "on hold" or this time a new "clearance event" every day, but it is just not moving. It sits there and catches dust. And I am waiting for the parts to run my business, are facing customer cancellations and lose money by not being able to sell the goods I ran out on in the meantime. Many times they do a good job, fast and smooth. But why the heck do they fail with about 10% of my incoming parcels? This is ridiculous. read more

Loomis and DHL sucks balls. You will go through endelss hedaches if you ship through them. Never use them. You have to wait 10 to 6 just to get a package. They expect you to seat around your house all day. Bunch of fuckface idiots running these places for sure. You can never reschedule your delivery, there is no way you can contact the warehouse. The call center representatives lie through their teeth and the courier is rude. If they lose your package, forget about getting it back... forever.
