I easily spent 30 minutes here picking up my partner's framed degree when it could have been much more transactional--take that as you will. I find it lovely that someone still has this traditional approach to doing business, but also hadn't budgeted quite enough time in my day to enjoy it. My partner found it a bit off putting when he initially dropped off his degree in a frame, just asking for a custom matte board, because he was told that the existing frame was cheap (it was, that was intentional) and that the degree should be in a nicer one. He went to Rococo at the suggestion of the team at Blue Dog, who sold us the frame, and I'm not sure they would appreciate having their products called cheap, but what can you do. $150 later and the degree does look really good, I just wish we hadn't bought the other frame first.

We went in with a number of items and whilst I had ideas, really needed some direction. Toohey was terrific. He seemed to just get it and immediately picked the perfect frame and mount for each of the items I had. A number were antique maps so I didn't want them glued down like so many of the other insist need doing. Instead he did proper hinges. We picked up this weekend and were delighted. They look so so good and the quality is top notch. The flag that was being framed and float mounted, you can't see how it is attached to the board which is ideal. The others are mounted in ways that just make the maps and detail pop. The icing on the cake was the bill. They may not be the cheapest, and compete with those that frame through factories off-site, but you get the quality of a true craftsman at very reasonable prices. I cannot praise this experience highly enough and I will be back in a few weeks to get some of my previous disasters re-framed! Thank you

The Framing Workshop came up trumps on all these, even though I was actually after mirrors and not art! This is a business that the proprietor sinks his heart into. It's also in a fab location - in amongst the re-purposed Georges Heights Harbour Trust development, with the added advantage of parking right outside the door, so when you collect up your prized framed pieces, its a cinch to get them into the car.

My dear Wife (and our friends) were most patient as I wandered through this relatively small and dense selection of ballpoints, rollerballs, fountain pens, and other writing tools. They were also surprised that I came back with very little to show for what is one of my favorite types of places to shop. Why? One is that I already own a number of these pens, especially Lamy. Second, very little caught my eye. And Third, I found the store person to be a little less engaged than what I find in shops founded by true believers. Price wasn't really a factor this time around, and I'd love to come in again and give it another go.

I believed Mont Blanc pens were the best and went in store to check the collection. I am still amazed at the number of brands available in store. I loved the Cartier 'Double C' pen and Porsche design definitely looks cool. They also sell inks and refills and pencils too! I've been to many Officeworks stores around Sydney and unfortunately have found many of the customer service staff working on the floor here being quite unhelpful, unprofessional and ignorant. They hardly come to customers even though they're doing nothing. Even if a staff is busy with something other than serving a customer, they must approach to the new customer immediately to assist by leaving all other things aside. I often struggled to get hold of someone even though the store hardly had any customers at that time. Some of them were even quite rude as they were asked for assistance.
