Tom, the owner, is a professional with years of experience and was helpful in regards to frame selection. He is very meticulous, preferring to take his time with the work rather than under deliver. With a variety of interesting works in for framing or repairs, it's impossible to get bored while you wait for the finished product. I had no idea about anything, but Tom suggested that instead of framing it as such I get it stretched(?) because (paraphrasing) Aboriginal art and "traditional" frames are kind of a strange marriage. I'm glad I followed his advice because it looks amazing on my wall (it seriously makes me so happy to see this painting every day) and his work was very reasonably priced. I told him there was no rush but even so it was ready in less than a week. It's probably a good idea to ring in advance because the hours aren't always true to what it says on the door (the advantage of working for yourself) plus if you need to get some guidance like I did you won't want to stop by when it's busy. They have to be framed so I always go to Prestige Framing Gallery because they always do the job right. They give me advice on what from to use as they have quite a large selection. Also they can tell if something needs reflective glass or not. They don't just whack a frame on and hope for the best. Of course they use acid free paper to back the ink drawings so that they will last longer. I also do needlwork and they help with framing decisions for that as well. As the needlework is often given away I like to have professional frames made. I generally take their advice. I have never had a complaint about a single frame, they always seem to come up trumps. They also sell prints and mirrors.

As you can tell from the pictures the background for all the artwork was on an old skateboard with various artists doing their own different styles and designs. Small studio space, but they also have an outdoor covered area out the front for those that need fresh air. We came early at 6pm and stayed for 30mins then left to get dinner, by the time we drove past about 7.30 it was packed!

Simply striking! The art work displayed in this small gallery is absolutely beautiful and far more…read moreoriginal than I have ever seen before. Each piece had a story and spoke for itself. I stood in front of a majestic oil painting of Japanese carp swimming in a pool of black water, looking at the strokes of the paint thinking this is incredible. The depths and highlighted colours of orange of the carp were very eye catching. Each piece of art work is displayed with importance. Soft ,spot lights rain down from above the painting. Each painting is displayed very well and of course there is a hefty price with each item. But then again...who can put a price on an individual piece of art. A number of sculptures are featured also. They also are very original and have been painstakingly made. I only wish there was more to see. I am looking forward to their evenings of special events. Book me in for the champagne, caviar and meeting the artist! My favourite word for the night will be "Charge it!" (who takes a cheque book these days! ha)
