We arrived at 3 and the place was packed. One of the women giving a manicure told us we could pick our colours so we did. We then stood around for a bit in the waiting area being ignored. Eventually I was able to flag someone down and told her we had an appointment. She said they were running behind and would be ready for us at 330. Around 320 we were seated in the pedicure chairs. At 340 someone came and started working on my sister. My mom and I we're still sitting there with our feet in the water. What's the point of us having a pedicure together if only one of us gets done at a time? At 350 someone came to my chair, eating a granola bar. Then for some reason she decided to start on my mom. At 4 (1 hour after my scheduled appointment time!) the woman who had been working on my sister started to work on my feet. After a couple of minutes another woman became free so she started working on me and the other woman went back to my sister. The staff kept getting up in the middle of our pedicures and doing other things. It was very distracting. Somehow when she was trimming my toes she ripped some skin around my big toe and it hurt a lot. She tried to say it was because of how my nails were growing but it didn't make sense. I get pedicures all the time and no one has ever had a problem trimming my nails. I thought at this point most salons had stopped using those razor blade things so I was surprised to see this place was using what looked like a metal cheese grater. I opted out of that. The staff themselves were very nice, but awkward and very disorganized. This is probably not their fault, it's the fault of management. On the plus side they did let us bring our own wine in and drink it. We left the salon at 530. It shouldn't take this long for a basic mani pedi. I got a French manicure and it was very crooked. Overall the experience was not at all relaxing or comfortable. It was supposed to be fun and relaxing for us before the wedding and instead it just added stress to our day bc it took so long and got us off schedule. I will definitely not return here and do not recommend this place. It's now been two days since I got the pedicure and my feet are cracked and sore, much worse than before I got the pedicure.

You are asked to put on slippers upon entering which I was okay with. There was a little basket of them by the door. The woman that did my nails was so cute. She always made sure I was feeling okay and comfortable. She also gave me a bottle of water which was a nice touch. I got a shellac manicure, normal pedicure, and 2 beautiful designs on my nails and it came to about $62. It is a bit on the pricier side but definitely less than other salons in the city. You definitely get what you pay for! Keep in mind, they take debit or cash only. I'll be back and I cant wait to get more fun designs! The girl there is SO talented! I've had my brows waxed and a number of elemental facials, all fantastic experiences. The only thing I would say negatively, is that when you're in the back room for a facial, you can hear a lot going on in the salon, so it's not super 'peaceful', but it's still great! I would recommend this salon and spa (and have) to all my family and friends. I have heard horror stories about shellac removal and normally opt for regular polish but I was very happy with the service here. I couldn't remember what brand of shellac I had on (apparently some brands are easier to remove than others) so it took about 30 minutes, which apparently is longer than usual. But, that's because she didn't just scrape it off and ruin my nails. The woman who helped me took her time and was very patient and gentle. I would definitely go back for a regular manicure because of the good service. The prices are very reasonable for a downtown spa too.

I've never gotten nail extensions before, so I did a ton of research on whether acrylics or gel nails would be more suitable for me, and also what the most top-choice nail salons are in London. I ultimately made the decision to go to Kathy Nails for a full set of UV gel nails. I called to book an appointment, and got one for the next day. They also quoted $35 for a full set of UV gel nails over the phone. I arrived at the salon ten minutes before my appointment, but there were three clients still getting their nails done, and only two nail techs. I had to wait for 30 minutes - 20 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment time. Once the wait was over, one of the nail techs began working on my nails, and the other finished. They were both super nice, and we had nice conversations :) They were both very gentle with my nails, and I felt comfortable with the cleanliness of the place. After my nails were done, I was asked to pay $45 even though they said $35 over the phone. Overall, I like this place, and if I were to get my nails done again, I'm definitely down to return. I may not get long nails again though - they're so difficult to type with, and this review took me twice as long to type!
