All the time. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Wine, juice, tea or coffee are offered throughout your time here. The ambiance and music is great as is the decor. It's a place to relax and forget about the outside world. It's much better than most high end Edinburgh salons that generally aim to get you in and out in the quickest possible time - believe me, I've tried them all! I'm always made to feel special here, my regular custom valued. How refreshing to find a place that truly gets 'great customer service' !! The hair products they sell are high quality and I've never experienced a hard sell on anything. I always leave feeling great and happy with my hair because of the time spent discussing and giving me exactly what I want. The salon also offers beauty treatments. I've had amazing facials, wraps and massages here as well as manicures and pedicures. Well, I do like to look nice! :) The salon is based in kirkcaldy but they have regulars that frequently come over from edin as it's better than most salons. There's plenty of free parking nearby too which is a huge pain in Edinburgh. It's definitely worth the trip!

When I got home I straightened my hair and realised it was much lighter blonde almost yellow on one side and not on the other. I realise this can easily happen but when I went into the store a few days later that hairdresser I spoke to shrugged it off and made me feel like I was making it up. I paid £120 for a hair cut and didn't feel like the final product or after care was worth a fraction of that. I'll just stick to my local hair dresser at half the price next time

The decor is bright, clean and modern. The shop itself is large, and split into four different sections so even on a Saturday afternoon (their busiest time) it doesn't feel overly crowded. The staff are all very friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. My stylist always talks me through what I want done and offers advice and recommendations. I never feel rushed or forced into anything i'm not sure about. I have had various treatments done, colour, perm, up-do, re-style and i've always been happy with the result. As well as cutting and styling the hair, the stylists can offer advice of styling and caring for your hair. My best friend also had a bad experience with Rosie. It was near the end of the day and her hair was not finished she was one of the last customers to leave and Rosie was standing at the main entrance and as my friend walked out Rosie said to her we do have other things to do you know. Why her hair taking longer than planned was my friends fault I don't know but she had just paid over £350 and to be spoken to like that isn't on in my opinion. I have also had Rosie do my hair she washed it with freezing water cut it terrible and had an attitude like she THOUGHT she was better than everyone else and it was some kind of favour she was doing for me by doing my hair huffing puffing and sighing the whole way through. I would be here all day if I had to write every person that has told me of the experience they have had with this vile persons bad attitude and styling. She definitely let's McIntyres down.

I was getting a fringe cut in and she was worried I'd really not like it once it was done, happily I loved it and she did a good job. She was also veyr helpful in telling me how to trim my fringe so I didn't have to spend a fortune on upkeep. I'd visit again :)

What really sets Byron apart from other salons I've tried is the attention to detail. It's clear that Ronnie the manager has incredibly high standards and it feels as though there's a real collective effort from all the staff (senior stylists to trainees) to exceed those standards. The service is second to none, the salon is impeccably clean, and while it's certainly pricier than other salons, the whole experience really makes you feel like you're getting value for money.
