UPDATE 8/18/26: The breeder has now publicly stated that she does not know who I am and that we did not purchase Snapdragon from her. I have attached screenshots of my July 2017 Facebook conversation with Linda from the business account. On the day we picked him up, I messaged her to let her know when we would arrive to pick up Snapdragon, and the account responded with Diamond Oaks Ranch's contact information. A few days later, she contacted me asking, "how is the pup," requested pictures of him, and described him as "a very sweet pup." I am disappointed that rather than acknowledging our experience, the response has been to deny that we purchased our dog from them at all. Originally I was going to wait until my dog's stay was over, but this is definitely a deserved review. Absolutely love this place. Linda has been amazing to me and my recently rescued German Shepherd, Mecca. I have to board Mecca while caring for my sick father and I've always been welcome to visit. Every time I stop by to see Mecca, she looks better and better. She weighed under 60lbs when I first brought her to Diamond Oaks and she's filling out beautifully. Her staff have all been great to me, as has the trainer on her grounds, Ken. Mecca sort of fell into my lap one day and they've been great with guidance and advice. If you're going on vacation and can't bring your dog, I highly recommend this place for anyone in southern California and definitely for anyone in the area. You can tell that everyone who works here loves the animals and loves what they do. If you're interested in training, I highly recommend Ken as well. He hasn't been working with Mecca for very long and already I've seen an improvement in her manners. read more

My wife and I bought two males from Linda many years apart. The first was Yoyo, a huge pure black Shepard who was exceptional with our then young kids and a great protector. He was healthy and had no problems other Shepard's sometimes have. When he passed after 13 years we waited a while before we went back to Linda. When we did we told Linda exactly what we wanted, we picked out the parents and waited for the birth of Khan. He's four now and the most disciplined and intelligent dog I've ever had. He too is extremely healthy with no hip issues. Linda cares for her Shepard's and we have spent a lot of time at her ranch. The dogs are well cared for and their health is a priority for Linda. We're going back soon for a female. I recommend Linda and her Shepard's without hesitation. read more

I have been taking my dogs to Diamond Oaks Ranch For a long time now. Linda is an excellent example of professionalism. She at onetime took our dog in for a number of weeks after it had had major surgery and brought it back to the best health it had seen in years. I dont know why anyone would want to say anything bad about Linda and her kennel. It is a wonderful place and our dog is as happy to arrive there just like when she is happy to be home. My concern as a faithful patron of Diamond Oaks Ranch is one of the reviews that is seen bellow. (Lauren) or what have you, should be struck from this site and SHAME on yelp for allowing this incompetent person to leave a review of SLANDER! I say this because my husband just read me the review and pointed out that Linda's (Alleged) boy friend was "weird". This sounds more like a personal slam and should completely discredit anything els that is said in Lauren's review. read more

Recently, we boarded our husky mix here and it was such an amazing experience. Linda was so knowledgable and kind and made the us feel at ease. She has a great backyard for the dogs to play in and the dogs always have someone watching over them. Our dog has separation anxiety and Linda was more than accommodating! Linda did everything in her power to make sure that Mika had a calm and fun stay! We just celebrated Zeus's 2nd birthday a few weeks ago. We adopted him in February 2012. We found Linda to have a good selection of well bread German Shepard's. This was our first time boarding our dogs here and couldn't ask for more. I felt my dog were safe and well taken care of. I love that it was so close to my home in la crests as well. Linda was so accommodating and we ended up staying an extra day on vacation and she was able to keep our dogs an extra day. This was our first time boarding our 8 year old lab. We were a little apprehensive because our dog normally is only around people and not other dogs. In fact, we're convinced she thinks she's a person and not a dog. To put her for a week with a bunch of dogs had us worried. Linda and the staff at Diamond Oaks took away all those concerns. I was so impressed with their facility and understanding of dogs. We left our pet there for a week while on vacation and when we returned she looked almost better than when we dropped her off. I took my dog to Diamond Oaks Ranch for our 2 week vacation last year and I was very pleased with the care he was given. I will be bringing our dog back here this summer while we go camping in Yellowstone NP (can't bring dogs on the hiking trails). I could tell how much Linda cares about all the animals and they did a great job caring for out dog while we were away. Our dog was happy, affectionate and the same friendly tail wagging guy we dropped off. I was there last year when Linda pointed out the pets who had been abandoned by their owner. Because she had been burned by this customer she jokingly asked me if I was going to come back to pick up my dog and to make sure I brought enough food to last his stay. Linda could have had those pets picked up, but she paid out of pocket for them to stay and eat. The negative reviewer left her pets without enough food for their stay and didn't come pick them up when she said she would. I could never do that to my "baby". read more

This place is the best I've ever found for boarding and care of animals. Linda truly has a love of these precious creatures. LAUREN IS INSANE! Don't believe her accusations. We left our three dogs there on short notice. Linda took the time to show us around and answer all of our questions. One of our dogs has allergies and one needs a special diet. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!!! The owner Linda is NUTS and full of drama (her son seems nice but is away at college and her "boyfriend" is very strange and doesn't seem to be very fond of the animals). We needed a place to board our animals while we were moving out of state and left them with this crazy woman, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! We contracted to board our dogs kennels under the trees and found out she had moved them to very small kennels in the barn with NO runs. Our cats he cats were mistreated, kept in filthy conditions and not fed properly. As a matter of fact the day we picked them up we were told how much she hated our little guy Gilbert and after fighting for his life for the past 2 weeks he died due to being poisoned (I have proof from the treating vet). Our dogs and cats were filthy, under weight, hand shy (which they had NEVER been before) and frightened (all verified in writing by the vet they were immediately taken to upon picking them up from this hell). It has taken us the last 2 weeks to get them to trust again and gain back weight that was starved off of them. We paid over $3000 a month for boarding as well as paid for food that was never fed. Linda is full of horror stories about her ex husband and former boarders. Please do not take your animals to her, she is not in it for the good of anyone's animals only for the money! I wish I knew what a horrible place this was before I took my babies there. It is lovely to look at on the outside (inside is a whole other story, a housekeeper she is NOT) but your animals will never be the same and the loss of Gilbert WAS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. I will make sure she is not able to operate this way for long and she is being sued. DON'T BE SUCKED IN BY HER LIES AND CRAZY STORIES...RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM DIAMOND OAKS RANCH!!! read more

This review is well overdue but Linda Watts is an absolute saint! I am military and was going TDY for three months from Monterey to Texas and was really struggling to find a clean, decent-looking place to keep my dogs for that long as a reasonable price. Somehow I hit the jackpot and found Diamond Oaks Ranch's website. I called Linda, asked her about her options and prices and from then on it was a done deal. I could tell over our phone calls that she was the perfect person to watch my girls because she was so friendly and had that tone in her voice that every animal lover can pick up on. I drove SIX hours just to take my girls to stay with her and her residence is absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect place for them to stay because they love to run off leashes and her land was just a giant playground for them. While I was in Texas for training I ran into money issues and some of my payments to Linda were late and she worked with me and was completely understanding. I picked them up three months later and they were healthy, bathed and so full of life! I can't thank Linda enough for watching after my babies so well. I HIGHLY recommend Diamond Oaks Ranch to anyone who is looking for a fellow animal lover who will treat your dogs as if they were her own! read more

I love coming here! I bought my beautiful baby Katrina here almost 2 years ago and Linda is always on call and ready to answer questions! I have stayed in contact with the family, me and my partner are very close with the family, and they have watched her numerous times as well. Never have a had a problem leaving my dog here, in fact I feel more comfortable knowing my dog gets to run around and play with her brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. even when I go out of the country Linda has provided me with pictures and weekly phone call updates to let me know how my dog was going and this was amazing because this is the first time I've ever had a dog breeder and border care so much about their dogs. I have also gone through Linda's process of buying a puppy where she does her background checks and I have personally seen her out right deny somebody buying a puppy because of the information that she saw on some of their records. Every encounter has been more then present and I intend on breeding my baby through Linda and have every intention in coming back until I leave San Diego! read more
