Dr. Leppek is one of the best health care professionals I go to. He is thorough, explains everything, is very knowledgeable, never pushes anything on his patients, and educates his patients. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place lied repeatedly to myself and my wife about if the glasses were even ordered. Kept telling us they were in processing and then we came to find out they hadn't paid their lab bill and were on credit hold and couldn't even order. Even after being caught in their own web of lies they still continued to be unprofessional. I Would highly advise to go anywhere else. You would be better off buying glasses from the mall kiosk before this place. read more

Went there to have my two year old fitted for glasses and I cannot speak high enough. The girls there were so helpful for my kiddo who was very squirmy. Dr Joseph leppek saved my vision!!! About three weeks ago I was having severe pain in my left eye. Once I realized that it was not getting better on its own and was continuing to get worse I then decided to go in and see someone about it. I first went to urgent care where they Diagnosed me with conjunctivitis aka "pink eye". They sent me home with an antibiotic eye drop and said I would feel relief within 24 hours. This did not happen.. it actually got so bad that I could not see my hand in front of my face.. Someone referred me to an eye specialist Outside of Fenton. One look at my eye and this eye specialist told me I needed to go to U of M immediately. When we called U of M to get an appointment their earliest appointment was 25 days out. I really didn't no what to do at this point. I was literally was in a panic and called around everywhere to get an appointment that day and was unable to do so. One place said they could see me right away and I found my way into Diamond Optical care right here in Fenton. At this point my I was so badd that even the reflection of light cause severe pain and I had almost no vision. Doctor Joseph leppek Quickly determined that I had uvitits and began treating me right away. Little did I know that this was a vision threatening issue. The next 2 and a 1/2 weeks ended up being some of the most challenging experiences that I have ever faced. Anyone that has had this condition knows that this is a process and does not heal quickly. I literally had to sit in a dark room for the 1st 7 days. And then slowly it improved. I did alot of my own research on this condition and most people experienced difficulties with their vision for at least 2 to 3 months. I had a vacation planned less than 25 days from the time I was diagnosed with this issue. Of course my health was more important than the vacation however I expressed to doctor leppek my situation and he accommodated me in ways you could not imagine. He gave me his personal cell phone number in which he kept in contact with me 24 hours A-day over the course of the next 17 days!!! One day as I was getting treatment in his office I overheard his staff mention that tomorrow was his birthday and it would be his 1st day off in a long time. Would you believe that doctor leppek came in on his birthday just to see me!! He works 7 days a week. I must have called this man A dozen times and sent him countless text messages the 1st week alone! Never once did he make me feel like he was too busy to answer my call or to respond back to my text message. He always responded!! He called me back each and every time! Even offering on several occasions to come in to the office no matter what time are day or night just to ease my mind and give me a free office visit! Which by the way he gave me several free office visits. If he already had a 9 o'clock appointment which is typically their 1st appointment he would come in at 8:30 just to see me! You will never find a more personable, educated and genuinely caring eye doctor anywhere!!! He didn't care how late he had to work or how many times I asked to see him he treated me as if I was the only patient he had all day long. I truly owe him and his staff all of the thanks in this world. There are a lot of things you can take a gamble on but vision is not one of them. Keep this in mind next time you need to see an eye doctor for any reason and go see doctor Joseph leppek right here in Fenton Michigan at diamond optical care. Don't go here! If you do, get EVERYTHING in writing and make sure you double check the figures. Found out they over charged us by at least $50.00. Cost me more to come here with insurance than to go to Walmarts and purchase glasses and pay out of pocket. Will never be back!!! read more
