So, I recently drove my RAM Dually half way across the country when moving to Fort Worth. Most of…read moreyou RAM drivers know that the steering can be a little "Loose" and mine was not lacking in that department. It wandered all over the road and this was after replacing nearly everything in the front end. I sourced a lot of the parts myself (the good stuff only) and when I had time, I put them in, but it started getting closer to the move date and decided to let a local shop install some of the parts; like the new steering box and drag link. But I still had a lot of play in the steering wheel. The play was predictable, but who wants to drive 1500 miles constantly moving the steering wheel. Needless to say, the second day I arrived, I went googling for someone other than a dealer to look at my truck. Someone that specialized in Diesel RAMs. There were a couple out there, but I liked what Kevin had to say on his website. He seemed upfront with a no BS attitude. I called him up and asked to make an appointment. The date comes and I receive a phone call from Kevin asking when I was heading out. He wanted to be there to take my truck for a drive himself. I arrived, knocked on the door, let my self in, waited a few, then went looking and found Kevin out in the shop talking with his guys. He made his introduction and we hopped in my truck for a test drive. We made polite conversation that was interrupted by a sudden jerk of the wheel or slamming on the brakes, or when Kevin noticed something odd with my truck. Down the highway, over train tracks, through a field... He truly showed his passion and knowledge of these trucks. When we returned to the shop, he had his guys look over the truck. Especially, the areas he noticed when he took it for a test drive. We sat in his office making polite conversation when his guys came in and found the issues. I was amazed. They were quick with the diagnostics. Found the root cause of the steering issue, it was the steering shaft. I was both angered and elated. Angered that the shop I had install the new steering gear never noticed the issue and said "Well I have no idea what it is. Everything has been replaced"; and elated that there was finally a fix for my truck. His guys also noticed that the bearing on my split driveshaft was shot and they wouldn't let me leave with it like that... and he had an aluminum drive shaft in the shop that would fit my truck. I said replace it. Now comes the time to exchange money. I was in shock when he gave me the total. Talk about a fair deal. I thought for sure that it was going to cost me twice what it did. Knowledgeable and Fair. Titan just made a customer for life. -Eric
