There is a new Man there I can't think of his name but he walks around and says hello to you in the lobby as he passes by he appears to have a good relationship with the staff the all speak very highly of him and offer the ability to talk with him if there is an issue. We have been in Hibbing for many years and with Essentia for all of them, I have really noticed the difference since the summer of 2019.

I dread checking out and having to schedule a follow up appointment because I know they are going to be rude and snappy as if I'm wasting their time. They always make you feel unwelcome - I can't think of many times I've had an interaction with one of them that they haven't snapped at me. I actually put off and avoid calling to make appointments - I use MyHealth whenever possible for scheduling because they are so freaking rude and mean. Today my roommate had an appointment that was apparently canceled and he wasn't notified. Well, the lady, of course, started snapping and getting this unwarranted attitude; so much so that he left without making another appointment. If my wonderful family doctor who I've seen all my life wasn't at Essentia in Hibbing, there's no way I would ever go there. They just ruin your day. As if going to the clinic wasn't crappy enough already!

They do not have enough receptionists answering the phones. I've been trying to make an appointment for a week by calling. Trying to use the Mychart is not for everyone. I feel that not having easy access to scheduling appointments does a great disservice to the patient and creates unnecessary stress.

Amazing staff on December I had trouble seeing and on pain. They saw me right away and said I had…read moredry eye, and gave me the medication I needed on New Year's Eve. By New Year's Day I was in so much pain I went to the Emergency Department. They gave me two pain tablets while I was there. Then I was given a bottle of numbing drops and told to use them sparingly. Since they couldn't write me for pain medication. Luckily Eye North texted me on the third. When they found out what I was using they both came into the office to meet me. These drops caused coronial erosion. They put a very expensive placenta cover on my eye hoping to rebuild the coronial. When that didn't work, they referred me to a specialist and I just got the eye patch off last week. If they hadn't checked in on me I probably would have lost the sight in one eye

Of course even before Pipers arrival Cassie and I both had to bring our older kids here when needed. When first arrive, it's very bright and elegant inside. At this time everyone staff and patients are wearing masks due to the Covid procedures CDC still has set in place. I'm hoping in the fire these will go away because it's just not the same on how things used to be. You almost forget faces and names because of the masks. But besides that, the professionalism is still there, the staff who greet you and take you to the room, the staff who come in and start measurements and weigh you in, and then finally your doctor who comes and makes sure things are going ok with growth and health. It truly is a great experience. Piper hasn't had a bad experience with doctors or nurses this far, but after her shots she had to take today she may be sharing a different opinion. I am happy to report that Piper is looking great for both growth and health and look forward to coming back for her 4 month, appointment.
