I came twice during our trip and tried the Mayan omelette which had beans on the side, and pumpkin seeds on top, There was some dry toppers inside the omelette which I couldn't figure what it was but good! Also the orchard soup was made of spices, carrot, kale, and other vegetables with a side of avocado toast which was also delicious. There's a lot to look at because it's a local art studio and souvenir shop. Definitely check out the goodies on the way out!.

VERY disappointing, ZERO customer support, Save your money and go somewhere else I purchased a framed carpet from Matis in Mexico for $1000. This was quite an investment for me, but I fell in love with the work of art. The owner (Jak Kohen) convinced me that I should trust him and I did. What a mistake!!! It took 5 weeks for the piece to be shipped in my home in New York and when I opened the box I was utterly devastated. The beautiful frame that I paid for was cracked, beaten and ruined. When I tried to reach out to Matis by phone and email and even contacting the owner directly, the reply was ghostly silence. Therefore, beware of this store. Don't buy anything that needs to be shipped, because they will not package it properly for the journey. If you go to the Matis store in Mexico only buy something that you can carry out. Do NOT ship. And don't expect any support if something goes wrong with your item or turns out to be something other than what you paid for. Better yet, skip this store all together. Save your money and go somewhere else.
