Quicksilver Studios

I have dealt with Quicksilver Studios on two occasions (the second not by choice). The first,…read moreabout 12 years ago, we had a family portrait taken to be used as our Christmas photo. We had the photos shot around the beginning of November and planned to send them out in our Christmas cards. However, we did not receive our photos until about a week before Christmas even after many phone calls and complaints. Needless to say, our cards went out late that year. More recently, my daughter had her first date to the high school Homecoming dance. I, unfortunately, had to be out of town that evening and i made her PROMISE (a dozen or so times) to get pictures. She assured me that Quicksilver was to do the professional photos. I remember whincing at the thought, remembering back to the Christmas card fiasco. Needless to say, although my daughter DID get her picture done with her date, Quicksilver suffered a "technical difficulty" and only the first 50 or so photos (of others and THEIR dates) turned out. My daughter's photo was never recovered. I HIGHLY suggest going to BIG PICTURE in Coeur d Alene....They are AWESOME!!!

I was very surprised at the way I was being treated. Also, my sister responded to a postcard from them in the mail claiming a "model search." This search was very tricky. It required a girl aspiring to model for a photography studio to fill out an online application and then go in for an interview. After getting the "job" as a model my sister went in for her first modeling shoot. Afterward, the photographer told her that she would not get paid for modeling, nor would she get any of her photos printed without paying $50 each. And if she wanted to keep modeling she would need to buy an over $1,000 senior photo session, and that price doesn't include the price of the prints. Overall, I believe the so called "model search" was a marketing trick to get girls hopes up. It was more of a client search than model search. Very disappointing.
