Dr. Krieger is simply the best. I feel so fortunate to have found her. She really listened to me and helped me immensely.

My life is a shadow of what it was before taking the advice of Dr. Krieger and moving fwd with a thyroidectomy. Excluded from the conversation leading up to my surgery were nuggets like 1) diet affects the thyroid (insert implication), 2) 98%-99% survival rate for women in my age bracket, 3) if your body struggles to accept or absorb the few medication options available there no alternatives 4) not all thyroid (and specifically, hormone replacement medications) are covered by insurance - expect to pay $140 for each refill for the rest of your life. And if after the recommended surgery one finds oneself suddenly depressed, struggling with dark thoughts, losing hair, gaining it in other places, GI issues and generally swimming through a sludge of a mind-fog that never dissipates, you might also get lucky enough to hear the doctor explain that your symptoms and their subsequent timing right after a thyroidectomy cannot be correlated and therefor not in her field (?!??!) Insult to injury, she closed with asking if I wanted a referral to see her husband, a Neurologist. Hard no. read more

Dr. Krieger and her whole office staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful and thorough professionals you can see in Miami. She is incredibly patient too-- answered every single one of my questions clearly and was more than happy to explain more difficult aspects of the diagnosis multiple times. I've never had a problem getting an appointment either! The office is convenient to visit and impeccably clean as a Dr's office should be. I see Dr. Paraskos at this practice. She is literally my favorite doctor (and I unfortunately have a lot of them)! She is sweet, kind, smart, and obviously knows her stuff. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my endocrinology issues. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a few years back, and Dr. Paraskos and her staff were incredibly supportive throughout, taking into consideration my severe anxiety and doing everything possible to make sure I was not only healthy, but comfortable. They see the humanity in their patients, and don't treat you like just another number. Thankfully, I'm all clear now, and I see Dr. Paraskos for my regular follow-ups, which are always pleasant. The entire office staff is very friendly and I don't think I've ever waited to be seen for more than 5 minutes. The office is also conveniently located and very nice. 5 stars all around! read more

This is a ZERO star review. Dr. Krieger was recommended to me by a friend who saw her several years before for PCOS treatment. When I got to the examination room there was a medical student in the room, but she wasn't the cause of the issue. She did manhandle my thyroid area and spoke as if I wasn't there and had the student repeatedly exam my thyroid area. The issue wasn't the student, it was the attitude of Dr. Krieger. Krieger was dismissive, arrogant and the least compassionate physician I have ever interacted with. I have hypothyroidism which two major systems in my body and she called my health status "a mess." When I wanted to leave the exam room at the end of the appointment she physically blocked my way and wouldn't let me leave until I answered more of questions her questions that were not about my health. When I mentioned that I didn't consent to having a student, she said there was a paper posted in the waiting room about medical students. Apparently, patients are supposed to play detective while giving insurance information and filling out paperwork. I had such a bad experience, I won't even consider any other doctors in this practice. read more

Doctor Krieger saw me for 5 minutes, she didn't even check my neck, she thought she was amazing she told me I probably had an allergy, she made them redo my blood test even after I told her they did more then one in the past 3 days, and she charged me $680 for being a new patient. I even pay out of packet the blood test and then received a bill for that lol this doctors are a joke ! read more

Rude, arrogant, condescending are just a few words that describe Dr. Krieger. I was waiting in her office, she came in and walked by me as though I weren't there. She was very impersonal, never greeted me or addressed me by name. She also was of no help medically, didn't ask basic but important questions that should have been asked. read more

My gynecologist Dr. Hirsch recommended Dr Krieger. I went to see her a year ago (at that time a need it a second opinion) one year later I needed to come back for a check up and a ultrasound I called her office 5 times, a recored machine always answers the phone, so I left 5 messages in a period of one month. Nobody ever return any of my calls. I had to call my gynecologist and explained what was happening , he said that probably Dr Krieger is not aware that her receptionist , nurses ,etc. don't returns calls. But this is unacceptable when you have health issues. Don't go to this doctor. read more

I am pleased to have Dr. Krieger as my endocrinologist. She diagnosed my diabetes about two years ago and has been with me the entire time, helping me cope with it. She is very professional and serious yet you feel her kindness and interest in your health. Dr. Krieger is sincere and to the point though never seems to be rushed as is the case with so many doctors. Her office is in a convenient location in a nice and very clean South Miami building which has both covered parking in their garage and metered street parking outside. She has always been prompt to see me. I have never waited for her more than 5 minutes. Her staff is attentive and kind. Her receptionist Valerie, is always helpful and very responsive even when I just email her a question or a request for a prescription. I'm thankful to have Dr. Krieger and her staff on my side. read more

Wife went there today to see Dr Lara. She was cold at first but treated her well at the end when they both shared the fact they are pregnant. But the staff there SUCKS! 5 women sitting there chatting away all day. NOBODY ever answers the phone!! Do the doctors know this??? Make these people pick up the phone and do work! read more

Dr. Krieger is one of the best physicians out there. Period. Not only is she one of the most skilled physicians to ever treat me, but she has the bedside manner to match. I have seen both Dr Paraskos and Dr Alfonso both outstanding doctors. I can't even express in words what they have done for me and helped me control this evil disease called diabetes. The staff is also incredible so helpful kind and understanding. Jackie is just amazing she really helped me when I had a problem with CVS and when I came in for my first visit she made me feel comfortable and really cared about how I was feeling and understood how scared I was . Thank you so much Dr Krieger for putting together this awesome group. Just a little note these were my 3rd set of Endocrinologist not one of the other doctors listened to me not one of them understood that the oral medication was not working they thought it was my eating and it wasn't. read more

I have been going to Dr. Diane Krieger for about twenty years and have been pleased with my interactions with her and her office. It is much easier now to get an appointment and I really like the nurses and front desk staff. The office is quite efficient- I did not have to wait very long to see Dr. K and was reassured not to worry about the issue I was in for. I also like that the office is up on current technology. If you are looking for an endocrinologist, I would recommend this practice. read more

I see Dr. Lara Paraskos in this practice. She's a wonderful endocrinologist! She spent plenty of time with me during our initial visit. She printed out several past blood work, looked at an old MRI I had done a few years prior, looked for patterns in my hormone blood work, etc. I really like her, HOWEVER the front staff at this office is terrible! I chose to do some blood work through them instead of at a lab and the doctor didn't notify the front (it's okay! I know she's busy!). I came in and waited to be called. Once they called me in, they wanted to charge me the walk in fee. I proceeded to notify them that I had spoken to the doctor the week prior and notified her of my day off and my availability to come in at that time. They continued to argue with me about this being a walk in because I wasn't on the calendar. Another front staff employee then came in and stated that even if I were on the calendar, I would still be a walk in since I am not seeing the doctor. I proceeded to tell them that would have been fine, but then they can not call it a "walk in" fee because if I am notifying the doctor and we agreed on a time then that is not a walk in. I ended up leaving and missing the time that I needed to have my blood work done. I then called several times to speak to the doctor to complain about the treatment I received, but I never got a call back. I didn't get a call back until the doctor got my blood work that I did through a lab. I then complained and she had received a different story from the front staff. On another occasion I had to have some other diagnostic study done that required insurance authorization. I made the appointment at Baptist and the front staff was supposed to get the authorization. I got a call from Baptist that they received the authorization, but it was not the authorization that the doctor wrote on the prescription. I called the front desk asking to speak to the doctor regarding this, since it was not the authorization she told me she had wanted when we spoke. I never received a call back. I then went in for my study at noon, which required fasting, to find out that the front staff did not fix the issue. Baptist front staff spent over an hour calling trying to fix the issue. Bottom line, I didn't go in for my study until almost 2 pm! I felt sick from not eating! Today I called and had to leave another message because no one answers the phone. I'm still waiting for a call back. Again the doctor is AMAZING, but the front staff is AWFUL! read more

In the interest of other patients, I would like to share my horrendous experience with Dr Krieger's office. If I could give zero stars, I would do it, but the program doesn't allow for it. I was first examined by Dr Krieger over 5 years ago. My general practitioner sent me to her due to an elevated calcium level in my bloodstream. Dr Krieger didn't do her own analysis of the blood and didn't investigate the symptoms of hyper parathyroism, (where your parathyroid secrets more hormone than it should). She just told me to get a "good" general practitioner, and to monitor my condition. My hyperactive parathyroid continued to produce elevated levels of hormones, resulting in calcium being washed away from my bones, and threatening my kidneys, which couldn't process the elevated calcium. Three years later, my cardiologist send Dr Krieger (again) my blood work, which she again omitted to review. By this time I had borderline osteoporosis, and my mood was dark, including depression. I was prescribed Calming meds in order to tackle my state of mind, essentially wrongly medicating a condition that was not psychological, but physiological. Finally in December 2019, my cardiologist Dr Majano sent me to see a kidney specialist Dr Mario Alameida. He immediately redid the bloodwork and concluded it was overactive parathyroid. When I told this to Dr Krieger, she admitted the misdiagnosis, but tried to minimize the consequences by saying that there was not much damage done. Obviously several years of misery and weakening of my skeleton (osteoporosis) was not "much damage" in her opinion. I am writing this so another person doesn't have to go through what I experienced. read more

Unreal, how busy can you be that you can't get a call back in weeks!!!!!! Even if the doctor is good, there is no way I can handle this. read more

I love Dr. Krieger. I have nodules on my thyroid, and Dr. Krieger has seen me for over 3 years. She makes me feel completely taken care of. She explains things thoroughly so I'm never confused. I trust her completely with my care and couldn't recommend a better endocrinologist. read more

Nightmare. She deteriorated my health and endangered the wellbeing of my breastfed baby. Krieger is absent, Athena runs the entire practice and she is incompetent, unprofessional, condescending mediocre medical assistant. Moved to S. FL, forced to changed Drs. Past 4 years, stable. In the past 10 months of Krieger and Athena's care, was hyperthyroid, hypothyroid and everything but normal. Refuses to listen to my complaints and properly adjust dose. Forget to call in prescriptions, call to wrong pharmacies, in wrong quantities, do no return phone calls. Nightmare, run fast and far away from them. I reported them to the Department of Health and looking for a cause of action to sue. Still not stabilized 6 months postpartum, and lost my breastmilk because of them. Hate these two losers so much. read more

Terrible. First, good luck trying to get through to make an appointment. I tried for two weeks to get someone to call me back. When the office called back, they called me by the wrong name. I told them my actual name, and she wondered what I wanted. Sigh. I had been referred by three separate physicians (primary, obgyn, neuro) to see an endocrinologist, Dr. Krieger's first question to me was a hostile, "Why are you here?" Secondly, all she did was go through a list of yes or no questions about general health history...never anything to answer any questions or concerns that I had. Any question I asked was answered with, "We're just going to go fishing with the lab tests." Finally, after less than five minutes of an interview, she told me that she had no idea what was wrong with me. She would run the whole battery of lab work, and the kicker?? She didn't think the labs would show her anything either. Wait. What? I've had three of my other doctors believe that it was an endocrinology issue, but based on your yes/no/5 minute session-you're done with me?? Lab work came back within "normal range," but I have since found out that this can still happen (based on what a lab considers normal range) with thyroid issues. A careful doctor will also consider other factors and LISTEN to the patient and ask probing questions (beyond basic health history). I received an email from her office saying there would be a requistition put in for more labs. I never received a requisition order, and it has been over three weeks. Waiting to get a copy of my original lab results, so I can see a different endocrinologist. read more

Terrible doctor! Terrible attitude. Sees you for 20 seconds and then you must get the $130 ultrasound if you don't she has nothing else to say and you are stuck with deductible and no service. MISERABLE HUMAN BEING! Of course she will charge your insurance for the 20 second consultation. Save yourself the time and money. read more
