Of course that was not realistic or possible so after some research I found Michael's agency. Not only was he so friendly but I could tell just from our phone conversation he was on his shit. Now two days before departure I picked up the passport and I'm thrilled. He is absolutely amazing and will get any job done even in a crunch of time. My experience working with Lauren for an October trip to Tulum was full of inaccuracies beginning…read morewith not receiving my deposit, which had been made day of request on June 20, 2017 for $150. She then apologized for that mistake and asked for me to confirm that I received an itinerary from her which my response to her request was I did not get one so she forwarded the email that she thought originally was sent to me but was actually sent to another woman who is attending this excursion - a woman who's email and name don't even have the slightest resemblance to mine. The due date for our final payment was originally set for August 21st then jumped to August 13th so I asked for an extension (my mistake for asking verbally) and she offered the 20th I agreed but the next day I received an email saying the latest would be the 17th for my extension. In no way was this an organized/accurate experience nor did I feel like a valued customer so I expressed on August 3rd (17 days before my final payment was due) that I would not be joining the group for this excursion. Lauren responded right away confirming she received my notice but when I asked for when my refund would come to me - which per the cancellation policy 30 days after booking but before final payment is due would be a $75 penalty fee plus tour company penalties - she went radio silent. After two emails sent and a phone call today (8/7) she responded via email that no refund would be made because tour penalties were $75 as well. I would not recommend using this travel agency at all to anyone.
