This firm's negligence caused over $900 in penalties and fees which they refuse to take…read moreaccountability. We worked with them for the first time in 2024. They had all of the documetation already in their system. As 2025, I gave all of the tax forms by mid march. They were backlogged due to the passing of one of their associates. I had no issue with them filing an extension, however I was very clear that I didn't want to incur any fees or penalties not just by phone calls but I actually went in person a few times weeks before April 15th. I asked if I had to make a payment, I was assured by the owner Ric himself not to worry. They would let me know. April 15th came and went. After continuing to follow up and not get a response, I was fed up being ingnored. They had been passed my account to an assoiciate I never met. I decided to take my documents to Rocky Hill Accountants. They were able to complete my return next day. The effects of getting blown off by Alpha cause penalties in excess of $900. And I was told I will still be recieving penalty letters in the mail. Ric claimed he had personally left texts and voicemails. Not once did I get communication from him. I even asked for proof so we can make sure there was no discrepency. Sure enough my phone logs show absolutely no contact from them. When I brought this to their attention they stopped responding. Do yourself a favor and get your taxes done anywhere but here!

We were inherited by them when our previous accountant sold his practice and we are now parting ways as quickly as we can. They have mis-hired and turned over more staff than a Wall Street boiler room operation, they cover their mistakes by telling you they make assumptions that you're doing everything they tell you to do (even when you've explicitly told them you're not exercising that option), and they have a unique ability to turn refunds into balances due that are five times greater. Oh, and if that's not enough to tout you off, their latest addition to staff thinks a client (who he's never worked with before) is his "buddy" that wants to hear about how hard "I'm working" and yet takes more time to respond to inquiries than it takes to melt a steel beam over an open camp fire.
