Dickerson landscaping and lawn care has worked with me for many years. Every time I ask them for something more than just cut my yard they are happy to do so. Now I use them for everything outdoors from walkways to lawn maintenance pine straw new flowers depending on the season. They constantly work with all my needs for making my lawn and yard look so appealing. They are courteous on time. The lawn crews take the extra time to collect all the sticks trash and leaves from my business before going to work. When they are finished they ask is everything ok is there anything else you may need. Great company I hope to continue many more years of service with them. read more

My complaints against Dickerson Landscaping are (1) inconsistency of quality work and (2) unresponsiveness to requests for correction of poor lawn maintenance work. The first maintenance job was excellent and professional. However, the second maintenance job was subpar. Calls and texts to the manager requesting correction of the lawn issues were met with promises to fix the issues. Unfortunately, these promises were never kept. Even a certified, return receipt letter to the owner with my complaints and request for restitution resulted in no response or action. I have come to the conclusion that the first job was done well because my maintenance requests were itemized. Foolishly, I requested the second maintenance job based solely upon Dickerson's written promise of "Optimum Lawn Maintenance." I anticipated the same quality job as I had previously received and did not itemize what was obviously needed. Accordingly, the yard was poorly mowed, the hedges were not trimmed and necessary weeding was ignored. "Optimum" evidently has a different meaning for Dickerson Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance and does not coincide with the owner's online mission statements "to remember to serve" and "make...yards better." We had Dickerson build a retaining wall for our pool. They did a good job so while they were at our house we asked them to replace one of our palm trees in our front yard. They did. It did not take so they planted another palm. Several times over the past several years we have called to tell them that this palm is not thriving. I have been told that too much time has gone by and they will not do anything. We kept hoping that it would start growing! Every time that I walk out into the front yard there is an embarrassing eye sore. I have one palm that is nice and tall and on that has no palm branches and has never had any! They were quick to take our payment but after that they have not been helpful or courteous to me. They have never offered to drive by and even look at their product! read more

I can honestly say I have never dealt with such a disorganized and rude company. In the beginning we had great service from Dickerson's and then it continued to go down hill. The only nice people were the maintenance crew and irrigation team. The landscape crew and owner acted as if they could not care less whether we were happy. We had the company install a sprinkler system and do a major landscaping project of the whole yard in October 2014. Each time we spoke to the landscape staff we talked about what to do if issues arose due to run off (the point of the project) or the sod not taking. When we first noticed that the run off issue was not fixed after the completion of the project, we notified the company which was in February 2015. We continued to reach out to the company and they did not even bother to come assess the yard until August 2015 after the side of the yard washed completely away and the sod died (at which point I send videos and pictures). When the landscape manager and owner did finally look at the side of the yard that was washed away they offered no resolution other than additional quotes ranging from 1000-3000 dollars for more work. At the same time we had asked several times for them to look at the yard since we had web worms. After months of them saying they would take care of it they finally called a company to come spray but never told us the cost or that the company would come out twice. This resulted in a huge bill that we were not prepared for since they kept telling us that they had a contract with a company for pest control. I have also been asking for over 6 months to have the layout of the piping for the sprinklers and they won't send me that. read more

The whole staff was great! I needed a privacy fence built as well as some landscaping done. The owner, I think his name was William, came out quickly and took the time to sit with me and understand exactly what I wanted. The crew was very helpful and completed the fence ahead of schedule. We have had Dickerson for our lawn care for well more than 20 years. The service is usually adequate for mowing and blowing (not always though). We have to specifically ask for trimming of bushes (that is supposed to be included in our service). Often it takes years to get that done. The crew can be quite rough around things in the yard, breaking a whole lot of yard decorations over the years. But what makes me angrier than anything else is when they toss out trash where they park across the street on my neighbor's property. Candy wrappers, cans/cups, ear plugs. I know they are the culprits because I am out there twice a day, every day. This is not the only yard company that hires slobs, but that does not make it okay. If a customer is willing to pay for lawn care, it is not likely that customer should expect littering in return. Put another way, if I have to clean up after the lawn people, then the employing company can pay me. My suggestion: train these people, explain there is no job security in making customers want to fire you, and supply trash bags in the trucks. read more

Time for the owner to hire someone to do the free estimates. Called trying to get a bid and he could not be bothered. The company didnt win the previous jobs so apparently he feels he can judge who is and is not serious. No problem, I won't ask again, but I will voice my opinion about my experience with the company read more

Dickerson Landscaping assists in managing several cultivated acres on a 25 acre homestead by providing regular blowing, weed-whacking, some hand-pulling and herbicide spraying primarily throughout the summer. Came to give me an estimate, very knowledgable and was highly recommened. Then, without contacting me, the design was drawn and photos taken without my permission or input, and then I was billed for $500, which I paid bc I had no choice. Later, I find out that the photos on their gallery are digitally enhanced, and one isn't even a photo from Tally. Its from Fairchild Garden in Miami, where I am a longtime member. For sure, this photo is not work that Dickerson did. Now I wonder which ones are theirs. read more
