Greenup County was dry all my life until a few years ago when county residents voted to make it…read morewet. I left my nieces and nephews baseball game and wanted to pick up some beer on my way back to my parents house. I Googled beer near me and Sam's Corner Carryout popped up. It was located near US 23, which was a convenient location. The store was quite large and has room to add more products. I'm not sure how long the store has been open, but it looked new. I was looking for Classic Bud Light Seltzer which they did not have, although they had hard soda but that didn't sound appealing. So I picked up a German Hefeweizen brand I'd never tried. It was tasty and I liked the packaging lol. The store associate was friendly and we chatted about Florida when she saw my driver's license (the fact that she asked for my ID made my day lol). Folks in these parts are pretty friendly, which is something I miss about this area;) If you are looking for something to wet your whistle, stop in and check out their selection.
