I would not even give this Garage one star! My vehicle was burning oil through the exhaust, I contacted Didcot Auto centre who recommended fitting a refurbished engine into the car as this would be the cheapest option. I was also informed that I would recieve a one year warranty on the engine on the condition that a new clutch was also fitted. This cost me £5000, after picking the vehicle up after having this work done and only driving 15 miles, the car had to be returned back to didcot auto centre due to low oil pressure warning. I was informed by Didcot auto centre that they would need to source another engine and they would not do this until they had received their money back from the supplier. This was ongoing for 3 months. In total I was without my car for a total of 5 months. Only 4 months later the new clutch needed to be replaced again and Didcot auto centre refused to take responsibility and wanted to charge me another £1500 for a new clutch. I went to another garage who replaced the clutch for £1200, I was then informed by the other garage that the clutch bolts were over tightened and had to be cut off which cost me another £200. The starter monitor on the ' new refurbished engine' has now gone. I contacted Didcot auto centre to get this work done on warranty, who are now claiming that it is only a 30 day warranty and not the year they had told me, therefore I am out of pocket for nearly £7000. I would not recommend this garage to anyone, unless you want to be ripped off. Their customer service is disgusting and they have caused me unnesscary stress and I am considering legal action. I took my car here once for a service. They did a decent job but I thought they were very expensive. Their website says a full service should cost around £220 but in actual fact it was over £300. read more

Such a relief to find garage i can trust. I have been taking my car here for over two years, never had a bad experience. Prices are very fair, they often have vouchers in locals magazines. A free courtesy car option is also offered at this garage. Highly recommended read more

Brought them our non-running Fiat Scudo and told them to check the EGR valve. They denied this was the culprit and sent us into a £900 diagnosis and unsuccessful repair of the injection system. All to no avail, so we had to sell the non-running car to a polish trader far below value. From that buyer we then learned that he simply cleaned the EGR valve (€30 repair) and the Fiat was running again. In total the financial loss to us amounts to £3200, all caused by DAC's incompetence to diagnose a simple fault. read more

I usually take my car to an authorised main dealer but felt i would give local businesses my support. I had an electrical fault with my headlights. The outcome was £60 for a new bulb and new fuse, however i did check the fuses myself before hand but couldn't find any blown ones... My fog also lights stopped working and then started working again the day before i took it in and so it appears either certain fuses can now "repair" themselves, or there is still an electrical issue that has been overlooked by the garage.I have also had to put back the internal panels covering the fuse box inside, which isnt a big thing, but i would have thought for £60 it would have been put back to normal by the mechanics. Did they fix the fault? Yes. Do i think there is still an underlying issue that wasn't fixed? Yes. Was the price reasonable for the repair? No. Would i go again or recommend to a friend? No. Nothing against the garage, just being honest, and just think there are better garages around Didcot that offer a better service for less. read more

Two cock-ups on two separate occasions avoid this place. Firstly there was a fault when repairing my suspension, leaving my car like a jack-in-the-box on wheels and dangerous to drive. I was told this would settle down but after a month (of pretty much not having a car) took it back to be looked at. Second of all they did a £200 repair without consulting me, or quoting me beforehand. Had I known it would be this much I would have declined, as I was contemplating scrapping the car anyway if repairs came to too much. I was told as this work had already been done I could not ask for any money back, and had to go through with this and subsequent repairs to pass my MOT, which cost me a total £350. Bad communication, kept the car for far longer than initially stated without calling me and giving me an update. Extra star only because when I called them they were friendly and helpful on the phone, and did give me a discount off labour for the further repairs. read more

Booked my honda civic in for its service and mot, very friendly garage and very helpful. They are a little expensive, but worth the extra for my piece of mind as they explained what was changed on my car. The lady on the desk was very helpful on booking my car in and going through my bill. Will recommend to my family and friends. read more
