This is a very old campus and was outgrown in the 60-70s. Thats when they built the North Campus in the suburbs. Much larger and newer. Houses plenty of the schools, but not all. This campus features buildings built in the late 1800 and early 1900s. Old stone. Brick. Beautiful outside walkways. Huge hallways. Marble floors and stairs worn down by years of kids steps. The history here is deep and takes us back to a time when the school was not yet in the State system. It was founded by Millard Fillmore, who was then a local lawyer. He went on to be president. The school went on to be the largest in the NY State system. This campus still houses the schools of architecture and nursing. Future dentists go to class on this campus. There are plenty of students who live in this area and take busses between the campuses. On summer days you'll see students all around here on the lawns and benches. There are often lectures on this campus that are open to the public.

More recently, the campus has new outdoor spaces to attract people outside in warmer months. There is a UB Stampede bus, shuttle, and Metro Rail to connect this campus to UB North and UB downtown. Also, it's more affordable to live near this campus than the other two campuses. Many park on property when using the rail line. A couple downsides to the campus are the wind and spread of buildings. The wind can be a bit much at times because it's at the highest elevation in the city. This isn't to say much for a flat city, but it does matter when winds come off Lake Erie. I wish buildings were closer, so that walks wouldn't feel far. Maybe a small brew pub on campus would allow for libations to help foster that Live, Work, and Play feel of UB2020.

Who doesn't love the state of New York?…read more We have the great American city, we have fantastic hiking, we have the Hudson river, we have the great lakes, we border Canada, and we have tons of airports to take you to other parts of the world. Tons of things are made here, including but not limited to maple sugar. As a very populated state, we have cities suburbs and rural communities across the state. We have lakes and mountains both. Part of the Appalachian Trail passes through New York state. What's not to love?

School has its occasional sprinkles of genuine good. This good mostly lives in the occasional…read morestaff. However you're just as likely to find someone who sees you as just another number to be added to their greedy statistic. Being a on campus student at the school feels like an elaborate prank. Please be prepared for the occasional borderline break in to your room from staff as you forfeited your right to be treated like a decent person upon paying. They will attempt almost anything to get you to pay a fine. Daemen is very capable of charging you for damages that you weren't responsible for. They removed half of the parking available for useless green space, making it harder for commuters to find a spot. Daemen is known for taking their sweet time giving compenstation for issues they often cause. IF AT ALL. They will also easily change their procedure and policy in order to get their way Security Is heavily underpaid while the president of the school happily fills his pockets. They're essentially paid the same salary as students on Federal Work Study. Heavily advise people to seek education elsewhere. This place will not care for you.
