The technician did the job and gave me three months of guarantee on the labor and equipment. A few days after, I noticed that one of my control remotes was not working properly. I called the company and the owner blamed the battery and the weather. So, I changed the battery but the issue persisted. I called this company today and the owner gave me the same excuses. I just told him that I need a new remote control. He said he would send a technician out but IF the remote control is working I would have to pay for "the visit". I said it was fine because the remote control is not working properly. When the technician arrived he just saw the remote control and told me it had water in it and that I was not careful with it. I said: WHAT? HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY KNOW THAT? He opened the remote control and immediately went to his vehicle. After 5 minutes came back just to tell me that the remote control is fine. He pressed it several times but did not work. Later, it started to work and I told him that I want a new remote control because it is not working well. He said he fixed it. However, when I asked him if the remote control keeps giving me issues I will call the company again, he said: he would never be back after today. Then, he said he could give me a new one but I had to pay $150 to get it replaced. I said no, I have a guarantee of 3 months and it is covered by the guarantee. He said the guarantee only covered the motor, which was a lie because the receipt says otherwise. Then I told him I paid for those remote controls also. He tried to convince me I did not pay for them arguing that the motor and keypad already come with 2 remote controls: I told him, I am just realizing you STOLE my money because you charged me separately for those remote control. I called the owner. And after 5 minutes of waiting for him, I explained to him the situation and that I wanted a new remote control. He said he will call the technician. He, then, called the technician and started to speak in Arabic (I believe they are from Palestine) so I could not understand what they say at all. Then, the owner told me that the technician already explained to him the remote control is fine and I will have to pay $75 for his visit. I just told him, I will let everybody know that he is running a scam business and are stealing money from people who trust in them with good faith. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. There was power in garage and other garage door was working fine. I found their phone number scribbled on the wall from previous owner. I called and left a message. Matt returned my call and I explained the situation. He told me his brother handles residential but was out on a job in NJ that would take most of day. When I told him their phone number was written on garage wall, he asked for my address and said he would be up. When he arrived and I went to show him the problem, the switch that raises and lowers the door had relight and door would now work. I felt like an idiot and explained that I had played with this for over an hour and couldn't get it to work before I called him. Matt was great and said it could be the motor's circuit board was starting to fail as unit was over 23 y/o. While at my home he wanted to adjust the door travel on the rail. While working on the door we had a nice chat about our similar backgrounds as we both grew up in NE Philly. As he was finishing up, I asked him what I owed and he said forget it and if the problem started again to just give them a call. I tried to give him $20 to grab a sandwich and he wouldn't take it.
