The boat was incredibly clean and they offered free pastries along with coffee. They did a nice job of continually switching baits and locations trying to keep us on the fish throughout the morning. The beach was very crowded with 100+ people but we were told it was due to a "quiet day" at the beach. The operating hours on the website were not updated - and no disclaimer posted - and no one answered the phones when we called to confirm times. We drove all the way over to Sister Bay and could have stayed to rent one at Nicolet Beach in Peninsula State park, or pursued another activity had we known this company didn't want our business, Beware of planning to rent from this company as they operate on their own time with disregard to customer, rather than abide by their own posted operating hours. Very disappointed in this behavior that has resulted in lost customers.

We pre-booked the Clear Bottom Kayak Shipwreck Tour with Lakeshore Adventures in Baileys Harbor, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our group was wonderfully small -- just my husband and me, another couple and our guide. We chose individual kayaks, which I personally prefer, and all the equipment and life vests were provided. Our guide was awesome! Unfortunately, I didn't write down her name, but she was friendly, knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history about the shipwrecks beneath Lake Michigan. There's something really cool about paddling out onto Lake Michigan in a clear-bottom kayak and looking for shipwrecks beneath you. You get some exercise, enjoy the beautiful outdoors and learn a little Door County history along the way. Lakeshore Adventures offers several different kayak tours, but we're really glad we chose the shipwreck tour. I definitely recommend booking ahead, bringing some water and getting out there for a little Door County adventure!

This store is simply a not miss for gear and clothing (can't speak to rentals). When asked for recommendations Mark is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and decisive. It's either a thumbs-up (yes, it's been a great seller and my customers are super positive about this item) or a thumbs-down (no, not a great choice, find something else). I found the clothing fits well, is sized accurately, and lasts a long time. I've worn pants and shirts from two years ago that still look great, even after heavy use. The outerwear like barn jackets and vests show literally no wear. While I'm sorry those most recent three reviewers didn't have a great experience, please do not overlook this gem of a shop. While it might not be on the main drag, it's but a short 10'ish minute walk from there over the bridge. And what views on the way! The waters were very calm the day we visited and the fog which had blanketed the Door County coastlines for the weekend had dissipated just in time for us to kayak over. Highly recommend!
