Bob, the owner, and his crew at Mercer Rentals stayed open late, did a diagnostic on the van, and ordered a new alternator to be sent up the following morning. But what was extraordinary was that Bob literally gave us his own truck to borrow overnight to make sure our family could get food and a hotel. The following morning Bob installed the new parts and charged us a reasonable amount for excellent work. It's far too uncommon to find a business that takes care of their customers as well as Bob and his team at Mercer did. Bob has been in business for just three years--we hope it's the first three of many more years of excellent quality repairs and customer care!

Bob Hynes, the owner, showed up on time and was able to move the car with frozen door locks and brakes, which was embedded in a foot of snow and ice, delicately onto his flatbed tow truck. I was really impressed with his skill and finesse. He knows his stuff! When we got to the dealer he even showed the mechanic how to remove the dash to get to the critical components. The associate at the desk was super nice and clear about the billing and process and the actual technician who did the oil change was super cool and friendly. Normally I don't experience this level of service at mechanical or auto shops. The waiting area was clean. This location also is across the street from the backside of Trig's so you can do your shopping in the meantime while the car is being serviced. Very convenient and quite fast.

I had no problems with my car before I brought it in. I had to go to work, so I drove it home (~11 miles) and over the next two days I drove my car a total of two miles. On Friday, the engine light came on while driving the one mile to work. It was 430 and I called and spoke with a woman who was the rudest person I've ever had to deal with. She asked why I didn't bring it in sooner, I told her I had to work. She basically said it couldn't be their fault because they just did an oil change which wouldn't cause the check engine light to come on. She didn't check with anyone on what might cause that. She said you can come in but we close at five. I had to travel on Sunday and no one is open over the weekend. I asked if they could stay until I got there because I wasn't sure if I would make it before five. She said no. I Paid someone to plug in a diagnostic unit, to find out IT WAS THEIR FAULT. THEY DIDN'T TIGHTEN THE DIPSTICK!!! Will never go there again...the woman on the phone should be reprimanded. Not the way to handle customers.

He's a very caring and kind person and knows exactly what he's doing, if he just listens to a noise it seems like he knows what's wrong right away and he's usually always right on.
