Outdoors seating can be a miss for me sometimes since restaurants don't always include seating to fit a wide variety of bottoms but Vices et Versa nailed it! There were small wooden chairs and also long bench/pew seating as well as some smaller standalone benches. Perfect. The beer list was excellent - you already know I got the sour and my husband got a framboise. I knorrrr! My tarty fruity sour vibes are finally starting to wear him down muahahahhaha Ahem. Anyway. Food: I got the bacon burger with fries. He got the spicy chicken thigh sandwich with fries. Let's talk about those fries. Crispy outside, pillowy inside. Yeeesssssss. Both were fairly low on alcohol, which is helpful when you want to try different options! I thought their house beer was so good that I wished they had more of their own options on tap! I did not realize at the time that they were affiliated with La Succursale. The atmosphere was nice - lots of people enjoying their Friday evening. I really liked the wood bar. We didn't try any food, so I cannot comment directly on that, but the dishes looked good based on our view of the kitchen window.

With so many other options in the area and the fact that they will not even allow me to tie my dog up to the outside of the patio so that he'd be sitting beside a planter and nowhere near people or the serving staff, I will spend my money literally anywhere else in the neighbourhood.

Big $6 pints of delicious Porter, English Brown ale, IPAAA and the guest star bottle of British micro-brew Jaipur was a treat, and, according to my more beer savvy companion, not found elsewhere in town. The tostada nachos came out quick and hit the spot but were just the basic cheese, olive pile you'd expect with a small side bowl of sour cream, salsa and a few peppers. It's not easily reached by Metro, unfortunately , but if you know the bus routes or have a car or take a cab, it's well worth the journey. While there I sampled 8 different beers. I had the bartender give me her favorite selections so I got a nice variety from pilsners, kolcsh's to porters and stouts. The food I had here was also very good, but I went for the beer. Last night we biked out to Espace Public in Hochelaga, near Antidote and Acme, and a raft of other old school tavernes that range from divey to scary. Espace Public is neither. It's got a tiny patio out front on Ontario and then about 30 seats indoors. It's dark, warm and woody like most brew pubs, with a chalkboard menu showcasing a couple of delicious in house beers and a couple other local brew selections and some small tasteful tasty snacks. The hoppy sour wasn't my favourite but the raspberry sour was really great, and the list in general was well-balanced when I was there - cool sours, classics IPAs, stouts, a blonde - really something for everyone. Super friendly cool staff, chill local crowd, slightly punk vibe making the brew pub less folksy and twee, less hipster and more appropriate to the surroundings. Really dug it and loved exploring this area a bit more in the light of the setting sun, with the end of summer in the air.

The food was so tasty I forgot to take pictures of most of the courses. It was all delicious, even the rhubarb dessert (I really don't like rhubarb and while I wouldn't order this dessert by choice, I was happy to eat it). Our experience overall was great. While we waited a long time to get our drink orders and the first round from the tasting menu, everything else came out at normal intervals. However, by the time we were done and contemplating a dessert beverage, we were informed that there was a time limit on the table and they'd have to check if they could get us drinks or if we'd need to give up the table.
