Worst GI experience ever. Dr Pleva not only lacks bedside manner and respect for his patients, but he also lacks fundamental technical expertise. The endoscopy and colonoscopy results, lab work, and abdominal ultrasound I had under his care each showed abnormalities. However, Dr Pleva maintained I was healthy and fine. He was sorely mistaken. I now have much better care with MAYO clinic and will soon recover from a life threatening situation. I hope no one ever has to go through what I did. Stay away! Good luck Dr Pleva, because medical malpractice suits will start piling up. Maybe you'll be lucky for some time, but it will catch up with you. Rude when I called to make an appointment, would not schedule me until I faxed my medical paperwork to them. Once I faxed everything they never called me back. Three weeks later I called again and faxed everything again and scheduled an appointment. Showed up, they lost all of my paperwork did they had nothing then found a partial fax that I had sent. While redoing all of my paperwork I could hear two staff members arguing about blood lads missing from a patients file then being found in the wrong file. There's no privacy, receptionist just starts going through their current medications people are on while they are sitting in the waiting room so everyone hears what meds they are on. Dr never even read any of my medical paperwork so I'm not sure why the made a big deal about not having. When I checked out I saw they already had all of my insurance information and my social security number, so they got my faxes after all. Additional charge for using a debit or credit card. Very poor experience, very unprofessional however the blonde receptionist was very helpful and you could tell that she was stressed by the atmosphere read more

Dr. Wang is a very good doctor. My husband I both have gone to her. She knows what is needed to help you. I respect a doctor that can help me get rid of my pain. She is very professional . Dr. Wang exhibits little or no concern for her patients. During a recent relapse of UC, she made me wait for 3 weeks for my regular appointment to see her, did not respond to my phone calls to her office, ordered an MRI for an inflammation but waited weeks on steroid treatment to see if it would get better on its own (which made the pain much worse). This relapse has lasted 6 months...finally got a new referral. read more

Absolutely the worst, least caring, doctors I've ever had. I've had Crohns disease for more than 35 years... been treated by a few dozen different doctors. Dr. Wang and apparently her partner , decided, for some incomprehensible reason.. that the safe, effective, and cheap treatment I was on for more than the past decade , was no longer an option. She was flat-out not going to treat me at all. No reason. She just doesn't want to treat me anymore. I'm not asking for anything illegal, unethical, or immoral. In fact, it was virtually the ONLY treatment 50 years ago. And, while there have been many new and improved treatments over the years, this safe, old fashioned, treatment, was very effective for me. My doctor that I had before Dr. Wang, originally started me on this old fashioned treatment, after a very bad reaction to one of the new, improved treatments. Meaning, it crippled me. The old fashioned treatment? It's been a Godsend. But he retired, and for the past 3 years, I've been seeing Dr Wang. Before I started this treatment, I was mostly bedridden. I have had 3 bowel resections, so I suffer from short bowel syndrome. That means continuous pain and spasms, and up to a dozen painful bowel movements daily. I couldn't leave my house. I had to wear adult diapers at night. I was depressed, and semi suicidal. This old fashioned treatment changed everything over night. I get out of my house a few days a week, work a part time job. Get some exercise, talk to people. Spend time with my grandchildren. Even date night with my wife occasionally. It's not perfect, but like I said, I've been on it for more than 12 years, with no problems ever. It's safe, effective, cheap. And Dr. Wang just decided for whatever reason, that I wasn't worthy of that. All she would say was that she wasn't comfortable treating me anymore. I followed up the appointment where she told me she wont be treating me anymore, a month later. I wanted to take time, write out my thoughts for her. If I could make her understand that stopping this treatment, will literally confine me to a bed for the rest of my life. She still said, she isn't comfortable with the old fashioned treatment, and since I've had bad problems with the new treatments, she just wont do anything at all. Just cut me loose. To be clear. She is perfectly comfortable stopping the safe, effective and cheap treatment, knowing that once it stops... I lose my job. I lose the much needed income from that job. I lose the good, low impact, aerobic exercise I get several day per week. (Something, every other doctor would want me to be doing) I lose any form of basic, human contact. Since I wont be able to leave my house. No game nights or movies with my grandchildren. No more Date nights. Ever. I never get to leave my house, except to go to the emergency room, because, over and over, I got so severely dehydrated that I have to be hooked up to I.V.s . Instead of a couple bucks per month. And 3 pills per day. It will go back to the way it was before. The endless stream of ER visits, dozens of expensive, and mostly ineffective Over the Counter meds. The financial costs to me because of this decision are hard to even calculate. The negative impact on my health, I know all too well. What I'll never know is.. why would my own doctor choose to cost me so much money? Why would any doctor choose to actually take a course of action that will actually harm their patients health? To be fair, I consider her to be a competent technician. She knows how to perform colonoscopies and such. She's able to do all the technical medical procedures that Gastroenterologists are supposed to do. But if you want a good, caring, doctor. This isn't the practice for you. This is more along the lines of... " here's what's wrong with you - GOOD LUCK !" read more

Unbelievable, only in medicine. You are ignored by the receptionist when you enter. After she speaks to you you wish you had remained ignored. Obnoxious, totally asocial. I generally judge an employer by his employees. I was 100% right here. If you wish to hear about Dr. Plevas' money problems, his difficulty in securing his lucre this is the place to go. He takes little insurance. However, if you have a secondary supplement or PPO etc he will graciously submit the bill but you need to pay him upfront. Why do I need a "professional" whose only thought is about getting his $$$. I don't so I won't be seeing this office again. We pay so much and get so little from these people!! read more
