Don't Bother with this group. I am a founding member (whatever that really means) and I have been SEVERELY disappointed in their lack of new material. Really. They go months (and 2 years during the pandemic) without adding ANYTHING new. I don't know who owns and operates this service, but they should basically scrap it. I normally don't write reviews but I want to give a bit of a buyer beware. I have been using DJ products for years, well before the subscription service. And until recently I was very happy with the service, but recently I have found they have one very frustrating condition. If you bought a lifetime membership for a x$ amount and then add the X$ per month subscription to get more out it, you are officially their hostage to either cancel or keep paying the subscription. Let me explain. What happened to me is I had new Credit Card come in and I decided to test which royalty free subscriptions I missed the most as they got cancelled. I couldn't remember what I was getting extra with Digital juice so before I outright cancelled I wanted to see what I was actually getting. BUT YOU CAN'T. Without cancelling or updating my credit card I cannot even access the library. Essentially making the lifetime package I have paid for null in void unless I cancelled or update my card. I get it that most would say- Just cancel it then or pay the $5, but its the principal of it. You pay any where from $200-500 for a lifetime membership so you should always have access to those products, updated credit card or not. From my experience, with any other site, if you need to update your payment details, you lose access to the extra features but you still get access to what you have paid for (or get for free) you just lose access to the bonus stuff. Appears DJ is being pretty badly berated on this forum and I wanted to interject my experience. Like most of those commenting I too have invested deeply in their products. Overall I think the products are quite solid. I would confess I had to do some digging to find this reference with a physical number and for that I am dinging them one star. I think for a company as big as DJ their number should be plastered across their site, their CONTACT US has no number. That complaint aside here are my thoughts on their products and services. I cannot speak to the quality of their hardware gear, I only focus on content development. With regard to content I find it to be exceptional for most products. I think their music and soundfx are meager and less then awe inspiring but the After Effects and video and graphics products are outstanding. Since their introduction of the ala'carte menu for those who failed to get in while the getting was good (like myself as a platinum user) the prices may be less then stellar. For those on a plan its amazing. I pay a set rate and grab what I want when I want it. I may be limited to 15GB a month but they offer a rollover plan that allows me to ebb and flow with my purchases without exceed my monthly data quota. I think it fits well into most of us doing business. Just prior to their introduction of the Monthly plans I purchased some great bundled packages at a sales price but was a bit disgruntled that I made big purchases that were now nulled by the platinum membership. Amazingly they reimbursed me for my purchases. I suspected it would take more wrestling to get them to do so. In that regard I would disagree with the customer support comments listed. I suspect most of the posts listed here are prior to their introduction of the membership programs. I am writing this today because I had a tech support question regarding their new Juicer and monthly data quotas. I used the number listed here. Received a support representative on pick up of the phone and he very accurately responded to each concern with a tangible and effective solution. Let me finish by stating that I do not work for them, none of my friends or family work at the company and I am not being paid for this review. Buyer Beware and Don't by from Digital Juice! They Don't Stand Behind Their Products!!!! I was a Big Fan of Digital Juice, until I started having issues trying to install DJ's Sound FX III. Some of the DVDs that came with my Volume wouldn't work, so I had replaced Disc #3 and now Disc #1 is not working. I just called them up and now they want $5 plus Shipping for each Replacement DVD. I paid over $90 for this Volume and now they are acting like the Airlines and Trying to Gauge Me for Even More. I am sorry, but I paid My Money and they want more out of Me! That is a Load of Bull! I tried to reason with them, but the Phone Representative wouldn't Budge or work with me. We are not Robots, but people here. Be Fair with Us and quit Being So Greedy! I am pretty Disgusted by this, because I have Spent Thousands of Dollars on Digital Juice products! I was planning to buy more products from Digital Juice, but over $5 per replacement DVD, I am sorry you already got your money. Unless they Budge, I will take my Business Elsewhere. So Buyer Beware! I don't mean to cause any trouble, I would like to use the DVD's they sent me, but they are Defective and Digital Juice won't work with me. I just want some Fairness here, that's all I am asking. I even asked them if I could download the Volume and they said that the Volume is not Downloadable. Anybody Have Any Suggestions? I know what you're thinking. "Wow, that stuff looks awesome! I could make some killer videos with it!" I'm begging you...don't do it! It'll show up and you'll spend hours trying to get their proprietary "Juicer" software to access your shiny new content. Before you purchase, head on over to the Digital Juice Forums and see what real editors with real jobs are dealing with. It is a shame, as they do a terrific job marketing the product, and the pricing is attractive. I used to be a huge fan, and purchased about $5,000 worth of product. But when it comes to actually getting the content from their DVDs to your editor, it's a genuine nightmare. I've foolishly done business with this company in the past and the experience has gotten worse and worse, with either their video editing products or gear. The gear seems to work out of the box, but quickly wears out or ceases to function properly. Their editing products are clunky and take a lot of time and patience to use. I originally became interested in the company by someone I knew who worked there. If you visit Glassdoor dot com, you'll find that the people that work there give it one of the lowest rankings a company can get. This seems to permeate out into their products and service. Beyond this, I have found their replies to my support requests, etc. have taken a long time and usually contain the words "We're sorry... but we can't" With so many competitors screaming "we can" and "we will", I recommend doing business with some other company. eBay has similar gear for less. And a Google search can help you with most of the rest. read more

I've been using DJ for a couple of years now. I've always had prompt responses from customer service. I'm a cheapo, instead of using photoshop or illustrator, I use Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. When I ran into a question, they bought a copy of Affinity Designer to figure our my problem for me. The music section is okay. But I'm very hard to satisfy with music. But other than the music, I find the rest of their products to be outstanding. I'm not network TV, but I do find their products to be quiet good. I don't have experience with them from before 2016, so I can only offer a new comers perspective. read more

BUYER BEAWRE; Digital Juice have worst customer service ever (lol), not only me but it has been echoed all over the internet. Please take this issue seriously. 2nd, I drained thousands of my hard earning funds in last 12 years with you guys (compared to what we get in return), I never wanted to become Founding Member Platinum (which is 90% old content which we already own) however I did just to show my support to Digital Juice. Without any hesitation, I can say that supporting digital juice is costing me more funds then I have ever thought. I am a Founding Member (Platinum) and I have download limit 15gb per month. Once I reached my limit then I have to buy more bandwidth for $2/5GB? Now, How does it's absolutely free (according to the video on first page) if I have to pay $1.99/GB (once reached my limit of 15GB/month) . AND WHY BANDWIDTH LIMITATION is not CLEAR ENOUGH in thier video and on site? WHY It'S HIDING IN Agreement Terms. Following you get to see once you become a member (lol) Quote from term and condition, "I understand that if I go over the allotted 15 GB in downloads and re-downloads per month, I can purchase more download bandwidth for $1.99 per 5 GB. OK, I have to admit I have been a DJ customer since their first product. I was a founding member/customer before they made that a thing. However, If you think that makes me a DJ "fanboy" you would be way off. Like many on this thread, I have invested heavily in content and gear. Occasionally I will find a Chinese made (gear) product that doesn't work but customer service has always been supportive in resolving my issues. I have never once mentioned my tenure as a customer (don't know if that would get me anything anyway). My customer service experience has (so far) been without issue and I have contacted them on multiple occasions. I normally reach out via email and within a day or so I'm contacted by a support team member. Happy to report all my issues/concerns have been resolved. I will have to admit after reading DJ's Glassdoor review I was severely disappointed and still hope they can turn that around. It has caused me to second guess many purchases (not based on the quality of their product but in reinforcing management's bad behavior). I have since removed them as my defacto source for content and gear. Now seeking other sources when or if available. The DJ forum community has been helpful in guiding me with ideas and product usage. While there is much to improve at DJ I think the bashing without context is not so helpful. NONE of their claims are true ("only 21 units left" - check back in 6 months, bet it's the same) and they fundamentally don't care. This is a Buyer Beware situation with Digital Juice. Like some of the others who have written reviews I have spent thousands of dollars with Digital Juice. I have had very few problems with their products. Unfortunately when I have had a problem the customer service has been terribly slow or non-existent. I see other reviewers have complained about not being able to use the content from the DJ products. I have NEVER had that issue. I have had Discs where one or two of the files were unreadable but I never complained because it was not that big of a deal and trying to get satisfaction from DJ customer support was not worth the effort for one or two unusable files. With Digital Juice, ALL of their products "Regular" prices are way over priced. However when they have specials the prices are within the normal price range and at time a little cheaper than similar content elsewhere. The point here is do not buy anything at full price, wait for them to put it on Special so you can get normal pricing. As far as the quality of products, I have found their products to be of very good quality. What I have noticed however is that they will include a few good products in with almost unusable content. as an Example I have almost all of the After Effects projects including Ready2Go, Toxic Type, and Toxic Templates. These packages typically have one or two very nice projects with some recycled projects that look dated and appear to be the same projects from previous releases with only minor adjustments to colors and frames. That being said though since I always buy at the reduced or introductory price the few good projects have been worth the money spent. At full price that would not be true. It seems the Digital Juice has been moving toward more and more equipment and less and less on content products. Be aware when purchasing equipment from DJ as their prices are again way over priced. As others have noted the same type of equipment can be found at other suppliers like B&H for significantly lower prices. Again waiting for a special on the DJ website can get you the equipment at a more reasonable price. The equipment comes with no information on where it was manufactured and tends to be on the cheaper side meaning most of the equipment is not very durable. My experience with using the content software from Digital juice has been great. Since the Juicer just unpacks files to a specific folder after unpacking them there is no need to use the juicer after that. the exceptions for this are the DJ-Fonts and the Layered music, which I have to say is a great tool. I have the 3 compositors toolkits as well and have been able to create some awesome stuff with it. Of course I bought all 3 at special pricing. Overall I give Digital Juice a 3. They could bring this to a 4 if they improved their customer service and they would get a 5 from me if they changed their everyday normal prices to match similar products on the market. Having to wait for something to go on special pricing for it to be reasonably priced seems to me to be a poor way to run things but obviously this is their marketing strategy. They probably pull in enough amateurs who do not know that waiting for sales is the only way to buy from DJ. In my view they lose the respect of professionals and lower their stature in the content community with these pricing games. Having said that I mostly disagree with the complaints from others who have reviewed here. DJ does have it's faults(Customer Service) but my experience is that DJ puts out very respectable products in the content department, mediocre in the equipment category. read more

I purchased a Pro Lifetime Plan for unlimited creative content. The visual and audio content already has added value to my productions and I am sure it will continue to do so for many years to come. I had a problem with my Juicer and workbench. I was experiencing problems logging in to their server and downloading content. I called technical support and had an excellent customer experience. The gentleman remotely accessed my computer and solved my problem. Since I was a new member, he took time to patiently show me some forums and training sites I could go to for inspiration and creative ideas in using their content. Digital Juice has a well organized content library and it is constantly updated. I am glad I purchased their plan. I recommend this company to all creative content producers read more

Really terrible customer support. I've been buying their products for years and for the most part they have been a good value. Just recently I ordered two of their miniburst LED lights on special. I made the order in the evening online after business hours and a few hours later decided to cancel. I sent them an e-mail with this request immediately. First thing in the morning I called to confirm my cancellation and they told me there would be a 10% restocking fee. Excuse me? The order has not even shipped yet and since it was 342.29 (including expedited shipping) that is about $34. After forcing my way to a supervisor he went on about having to pay for printing shipping labels, return fees, overhead etc. He finally agreed to reduce the fee to 17.00 but they have lost my business forever. Any company that fails to value a long term customer who has spent thousands of dollars on their products will not get my business again. read more

I'm rally glad that I got this stuff for free because they had a Black Friday deal. I punched a camera rig for 100.00 but have not received it yet so let's see how that turns out. Let's tell the world about Digital Juice's poor customer service. Purchased a Slyder Dolly as a refurbished unit and when I received it, two roller bearings weren't even installed on the dolly assembly, so I had to take apart the unit reattach the bearings and reassemble. The track has some small dings in it so it is rough and basically useless. I tried to return it, they wanted a video of the damage, so I put together a video of the damage and they said they would send a call tag. Wow so far so good. Well today, someone calls who I can barely understand...wonder where their from? I need to send it in for inspection and if they find it bad they will send a replacement as soon as another refurbished unit becomes available. All I need is a replacement track, I can swap out the parts. No luck. I have spent close to $10,000 with your company over the years and this is the way you treat me? I'll keep the damaged Slyder Track and you can lose a customer. read more

I too had trouble with their poor quality DVD production methods. I resorted to making images of every single DVD and pursuing bad DVDs with the company. At first, no problem, they stood behind the first 20 or so DVD replacements. Many of these DVD troubles had been previously reported to digital juice as evidenced by their forums (which they have now removed -- apparently to silence the angry masses). I bought one of their projects, paid $50 for it. Discovered the disk was bad 36 days after it was invoiced, and they wanted me to pay a disk replacement fee for their defective product. I should have disputed the purchase on my credit card and forced them to refund my money, but I was nice to them in spite of their heartless treatment of a good customer. Many many thousands spent. Haven't bought anything substantial since they pulled this crap on me. read more

The digital content looks good, if derivative, but the Juicer software required to use it sucks. Terrible, bloated, cumbersome and it should be unnecessary. Do not be deceived when they say it is "Drag and Drop" - it is NOT. You MUST use the Juicer. You must learn to use the Juicer. All Hail the Juicer. Just send me the files and I'd be happy. Mostly happy - the discs suck too, like 1 in 10 are bad. Try to get a replacement and the overworked customer service people will be unable to get you one and if they are will charge $5.
