February, 29, 2020 I went to fix my glass screen protector, which recommended by my phone company. It was 5 people in line. The mandarin speaking lady helped me to put on new one within 5 minutes. She charged me $10 for s9 plus glass screen protector+ $12 for 3 phone ring holders.. it's so cheaper, but not perfectly cover as my old one (ishieldz glass protector $45).... It's cracked, after I press the right corner of my phone screen.. its broken again within 6 hours??!! I didnt touch my phone afterwards till I finished dinner. By the time I found out, they already closed and they dont open on sunday. It's really piss me off!! I know it's cheap... but doesn't mean cannot last for a day?? Seriously?! Came in to have my iPhone 7 Plus screen replaced. Found it odd that he asked for my password to replace a screen as it is not needed. I didn't provide it to him and he still replaced the screen. However the quality of the screen was horrendous and not even up to half of the quality of the original. On top of that the speaker and microphone stopped working due to his repair and I didn't discover the problem until after the store closed. I went back the next day and he told me it was the phone and not his repair that suddenly caused the issue. He then continued on and said that I need to go to the Apple Store now and he would not resolve the problem he created. I took the phone to another shop nearby and had the screen replaced and they acknowledged that the install wasn't done properly and was a simple piece that was out of place causing the headset to short. This owner is not honest! Deleted my google one star review so many times! It took 4 days just to change my battery while he promised it would only take 1-2 days. The owner dropped my phone behind the counter and broke my screen protector when I went pick up my phone. I clearly heard that he dropped 2 phones but he denied dropping my phone then why is my screen protector broken? When the front lady came back, the owner told her in Cantonese that he had just dropped my phone. Excuse me? I just asked him in Mandarin if he dropped my phone and broke the screen protector. Gave me a low quality screen protector in return. It doesn't cover the whole screen. I just put on a new one (for more than $20) a few weeks ago which is way better than the shitty one she replaced. The lady at the front was rude. Only offered me a few bucks off of the bill. And loudly told me if I don't accept it, they can change my battery back. What kind of service is this? My phone is good as new now. 2 retailers were buying a ton of cases from him. This is like a distributor for the mall kiosk vendors, so just go here directly and save. Cash only. After the week came and passed I phoned them myself TWICE!! Apparently im never going to get the screen becaise china is out of stock. If cellphone repair had a Wizard of Oz, this would be the one and the only Legend. Note that there are at least three cell phone repair shops in this complex. There's the clean, cool looking one (JP Cellphone), a competent looking one, and then the hidden lair of the Master himself nestled on the second floor next to a ginseng shop and a rather sparse looking food court. If Kung Fu Hustle ever had a sequel where the inhabitants are shopowners in a mall, this would probably fit the bill. Replaced my iPhone battery in half an hour for $40. Best deal ever. It took me two months to try to get the same kind of service from my mobile provider but they still failed. Watch out for the lineups. There seems to be a constant stream of people coming in to fix stuff or put on screen protectors. read more

I got my new nexus 5 smashed when it fell face flat on a concrete pavement. My close friend dropped hers in a puddle, and her mobile gave up on her too. Then started our search for mobile repair places, starting from a yelp-search to asking around friends for recommendations. My academic supervisor Y told me about this place, describing it as "kind of a legend in Richmond for cell phone repair". Given Y's advice has generally worked out fine for me, I took him up on his advice and rang up these guys. I had already called up a few places around Vancouver to get price quotes for the screen repair. Digital Life Electronic demanded a price almost 20% below all of those price quotes! So, my friend went up to Richmond, and handed over both the phones to them. We called them back a day later to hear that the screen repair was done, but nothing could be done for my friend's water damaged phone. They did a prompt and good job on my phone, and also provided me with a free screen cover! We took a second opinion on my friend's mobile, and it coincided with what Digital Life Electronic had opined. Overall, I was pretty happy with their service, and the superb price at which they offered it. Last, but not least, they also sell unlocked cell phones at competitive prices. These are prices you would be paying at Fido or Rogers to buy factory locked phones. ;) read more

Awesome... I live in the USA. I have an S6 Edge. Only had in 6 weeks and dropped and broke screen. Really upsetting. Thought about not fixing it. I had seen worse cracks for sure. But still 700.00+ investment. I travel a lot and starting calling around the USA for a replacement. Basically about 300.00 (US dollars). And no one had in stock, all had to order. I called these guys and was told it was in stock and could be done in 3 hours. So I decided to try. There was a bit of a language barrier for me and another customer was in the store hoped a bit. Asked him if he used this shop before, he said many times and they were great he said. Well I dropped my phone off and they called me in 2 hours.. And the best part, about 180.00 (US dollars). I needed my iPhone 5 battery and rear camera replaced. This aka "Bill Tan's" was recommended by a friend. Went in around 11:30 Monday (normal hours 11-7) and only 1 person in queue. His wife works the front desk and is quite friendly, speaks very good English, while Bill works behind the counter on the devices. There's tons of covers and screen protectors around the shop. She quoted me a reasonable price (cheapest) I found. Said battery is about 30mins but camera would need 2-3hrs. They take alternate phone number down and text you when it's completed. Got the text at time mentioned. Went back, about 10 people in queue, some getting screen protectors which Bill and his wife skillfully applied for them. A young lady handles customers and Billy does repairs behind a screen. Prices are jaw-dropping for work, unlocking, and accessories. Cash only. As there is only one repair person, be prepared to wait or leave your phone. Quality of repair is excellent. I discovered this gem when my phone stopped working after I changed the SIM card. The dealer staff advised me that it was trashed, kaput. I kept thinking that the SIM contacts were damaged, so read the Yelp reviews, and picked this place. Turns out I was right about the damaged contacts, and repair bill was much less than a new phone. This place was hard to find, as the map at front of plaza is turned backwards. It is easiest to find the food court on 2nd floor, then look for this shop close by. Parking lot is free. read more
