Majority of the vendors that are regulars didn't have anything set up last night. I was hoping to pick up some houseplants but the vendor wasn't there. Guess with the heat, it's not good for the plants to be out. Rightfully with that. But it did seem like the food area did have more vendors compared to what I've seen before. Usually walking along the strip, it tends to be packed with vendors and shoppers but the past few weeks, not so many. Summer tends to be quiet as people do leave town. The snowbirds going back to Canada. Even restaurants close for the summer season. Same with the vendors here, some comes every other week while there's still the regulars that comes every week. Small local vendors trying to get their product out there. They have the locals vendors that I frequent for my baked goods and sweets. It's a nice little shopping and food area that's great for a Thursday night. Restaurant and shops do open a little later for the event. It was quite hot last night so a lot of vendors weren't out. But once it starts to cool down again, it'll get busier.

He showed up shirtless, sweaty, and looking like he'd just crawled out of a dumpster. His studio? A suffocating, chaotic fire hazard--cramped, filthy, and stacked with junk. It's almost impressive how claustrophobic he made FOUR ACRES of land feel! And the "art" he's so pretentious about? Give me a break. It looked like something a bored middle-schooler slapped together during detention. Nothing meaningful, nothing profound! It's all just crude, sloppy garbage with peeling, crusty paint jobs that looked like they'd been rotting for years. Honestly, the only impressive part was how consistently awful everything was. Then this clown has the audacity to pressure us into buying something. For what? His cheap resin and 3D-printed knockoffs that probably took him two hours and negative talent to make? And he's charging $75 to TWO THOUSAND dollars like he's some tortured genius instead of a delusional hobbyist? Please. When we Venmoed him a $25 tip, he got mad, as if that was some personal offense. He said, and I fucking qoute, "Way to take the easy way out." Like, dude. NO ONE WANTS YOUR SHITTY "ART." And the cherry on top? His attitude. He strutted around like we should be grateful just to stand in his hoarder-level hazard trap and gaze upon his trash-tier "creations." He genuinely behaved like we were beneath him, which is hilarious considering the state of literally everything he touched. Easiest, most well-deserved 1/5 I've ever given. If I could give 0, I would.

Privately owned and what appears to still have a home property onsite, Moorten Botanical features over 3,000 species of cacti. Another unique component is the rare Cactarium which is a greenhouse featuring cactus and succulents. Admission is $7 cash or card and there is always staff available to greet guests. A paper map is provided post payment to help navigate the grounds. I recommend sunscreen as a majority of the viewing takes place outside and the sun tends to beat down. Onsite there are a variety of large tortoises in specialty spots enjoying their environment. At the end of the garden, there is a nursery where plants can be purchased along with gardening trinkets. For the value, this is one to not miss! I've been coming here for years since I was a little girl and I enjoy the fact that Moorten sticks to their roots and have kept the layout the same allowing me to feel nostalgia each time I visit. I have been to Zaldas nightclub years ago and it was a fun place. Anyway, looked up on Yelp and found this gem and my friend and I got excited, took an Uber and went straight to the club. We didn't have this much fun in a long time. David was very nice, kind and attentive. Since we had already eaten, we only ordered drinks. We both opted for Coconut Margarita (blended) didn't want to cross the line and get drunk. That is why we took the Uber down there. Smart idea right? Right! They have a dance floor, DJ, and live music. Also a cover charge for entrance. $10.00 which is not bad at all. Other places charge way more..Can't comment on the food, since we didn't eat there. The minute I came back from the restroom to my seat, this lovely elderly gentlemen invited me to dance. Since he was more like my friend's age, she thought that he was about to ask her to dance.. Place was very clean, David checked on us twice, and the feeling/vibe along with the atmosphere was just PERFECT!! The song that the band was playing was "Besame Mucho". I am sure most of you have heard of that song, if you haven't, it's never too late. If I happen to be in Palm Springs again, I will definitely go back to this club. You are never too old to have fun.
