I have always enjoyed the food here and recommend them as a take away option. You can eat in but it lacks atmosphere so order a take out and enjoy. read more

The food is consistently excellent and there is an opulent feel to the decor. I particularly like the relaxed ambience. Fast food is not for me. I am quite old now despite my remarkably youthful appearance. There is too much speed in modern life for my liking. The Rose of India experience is like stepping back to a previous age of elegance. The service is of the highest quality and so is everything else in my opinion.

It is one of the best indian restaurants in Essex I have eaten at with efficient and friendly staff. The food is excellent with some interesting new dishes and plenty of traditional curries too. There are also plenty of options for vegetarians. The music is very nice and also the takeaways are cheaper than most restaurants in chelmsford as they give 30% discount on collection. They do not have a car park which is a bit of a pain but there are several car parks within walking distance

We ordered many things on the menu, but my favorite was the Naga chicken. The appetizers were pretty great too. We got the spicy Papadom, pakoras, and also some samosas. All in all we had a wonderful time and we definitely recommend this place.

I love Pakistani food, and so am quite picky about the places I eat, and I love this restaurant…read more Considerably cheaper than a lot of competitors they cook their food in a glass encased kitchen so that customers can see just what is going on. They have a large selection of foods on their menu, from the mild to insanely spicy. Their kebabs are also fantastic, as is their naan. If you're in need of mild go for the korma dishes, the others tend to get progressively spicy. Service is quick and friendly. Unfortunately they don't do deliveries, so you have to pick up in a neighborhood that isn't all that conducive to driving. They do cater for large parties and have a rather large eat in section. There are also special deals for those who eat in.
What a brilliant restaurant this is. Smack in the middle of the Bury Park area, and it offers…read morewonderfully authentic Asian food at prices that seem ridiculously low. The food is always fresh - in fact you can watch them cook it if you so desire - and the naan bread is absolutely fantastic (always the acid test of a good Asian restaurant, I think). They don't deliver, which can be annoying, but popping down here is definitely worthwhile for the treat that will follow.
I have heard a few people describe this place as the best Indian restaurant in Brighton. Whilst I…read moredon't think I've eaten in enough to warrant corroborating that statement, I can say I ate here recently and it was pretty damn good! What I particularly like about Shahi Tandoori is that it is split into two quite separate spaces, one side is the restaurant and one is the takeaway. This is genius! There's nothing more annoying than people wandering through while you're eating to pick up their order, letting a draft in and spoiling the ambiance of the restaurant. Well Shahi has it covered. Food-wise, the side dishes are all great...I particularly like the Bombay Aloo, the Sag Paneer and the Onion Bhajis- delicious! I can also recommend the Vegetable Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala. Since this place is just around the corner, we often pop down to pick up a few side dishes to go with a home-cooked curry and they never look at us funny, despite our paltry order! I like them.
You can never have enough good quality Indian restaurants (so says I), without doubt Shahi Tandoori…read moredeserves to be added to that category. It's located in an odd place at the bottom of Ditchling Rise, because of the location you might never have come this way, I really would recommend it though. 'Shahi' is a little bit cheaper then the more central Indian restaurants (and take aways, they do both). The food is also of a very good quality; I had the rogan josh and passanda, both of which I could eat 7 days a week. The area isn't the nicest, the decor is a little dated, but it's a fantastic place filled with Indian charm (and food).
Wow, what a find!…read more Happened to be in the area, so we popped in to look around Festival Leisure Park - very impressed. Went back to Moza Indian Buffet Restaurant (eat as much as you like) had a really good time. First of all it was packed - good sign - (working class-made-good types) then we asked to be shown the vegetarian dishes - entire row; plus more on the other side. Extras like Chippatis, Naan, chutneys, relishes etc all nicely presented and plentiful. We felt we were on a cruise ship - nice lighting, spacious dinning room. We've been to a few Indian buffet restuarants but this one is a bit of a gem. In fact, by writing on here I almost feel I'm giving away a secret. We went up to get more food three times, (the lady behind me I swear went up about 5 times!) Special prices for Friday and Saturday night £13.50 a head. Extremely fresh food; good glazes on the sauces; colourful and appetising - have to go again! (Could have been a bit hotter (spicy) - but popular with families, so I understand.
