My late father was here in 2010. He passed away here. There are some top of the line nurses such as Bobbie (an older lady on nights) & Chuck. They were wonderful! Anne, however, was a nightmare. She treated my dad horribly. I filed a complaint with the D.O.N. & made sure she was never to care for my father again. She said mean & nasty things to him which he reported to me. I confronted her & she denied these things, but as luck would have it, I caught her in the act one day. She has a poor bedside manner & would always be very nasty when my dad needed suctioned. (He was on a vent). I wouldn't let her "care" for my worst enemy. Now, as mentioned before, Chuck & Bobbie were angelic in their treatment of my dad. Also, the aides were so nice & caring. So this place could be good or bad- depending on who is taking care of your loved one.

My one complaint would be catching certain receptionist when I needed a slip signed for my transportation through job and family. She was rather rude, difficult, off-putting, unprofessional and childish about that. Which causes anxiety problems for myself and an uncomfortable situation with the driver transporting me. The front office re-arranged clients and did everything they could to get me in as fast as possible. I experienced a very sudden onset and rapid escalation of oral pain beginning on a Friday evening which necessitated emergency treatment the next Monday. Dr. Linscott was the only dentist in Athens whom would take me on such short notice. He rescheduled appointments and saw me two hours after I first called. The centrality of his office on Court Street makes him even more accessible to patients. Dr. Linscott treated me successfully to resolution of my case via root canal procedure. In treating me, Dr. Linscott could not have been gentler; in fact decidedly not treating the root canal immediately but first prescribing a strong oral antibiotic to reduce the infection before starting treatment. In my time since as his patient, he has continued to offer the best and gentlest treatment possible. Dr. Linscott's staff are collectively very professional and loyal. His office isn't fancy, but it is clear he remains current on emerging topics and his office is clean, well managed, and has all the tools and talent necessary to do a most effective job. Dr. Linscott remains my dentist today and will remain so, despite my pending relocation to Minnesota.

I'm an OU student who didn't have the ability to go back home for my appointment. I had an injury…read moreto my face that impacted one of my front teeth. I called 3 days in advance to set up an appointment. I showed up and I had to knock on the window in front of the receptionist to let me in. She finally came to the door and said "May I help you?". In an extremely, condescending, and disrespectful way. I came at the time of my appointment, obviously it was the 21 year old student showing up for the appointment. After being let in, I waited... and this is not an exaggeration, one hour, before someone showed me any acknowledgement. I got numbed, but I still felt everything, that was being done to my messed up tooth. The head dentist stopped the filling because she said that she didn't want to hurt me anymore. I respected that. BUT, from when I got into the office, to when I left, 30 minutes past. I told her that my tooth was extra sensitive to pressure and she told me while I was getting an extremely painful filling, that she DID NOT need to be doing what she was doing because my problem is definitely more severe. She did not tell me that. I contemplated walking out the second I saw the clown show of a business. I should have left when I wanted to. She didn't finish the filling to make the sides even flossable. She left me with bleeding gums and tooth shavings in my mouth without offering me a rinse. Then told me to go pay. I went back to my car and cried to my mom and she made me a new dentist appointment.
