She was super polite and what was funny to me was compliancy questions she kept on apologizing for. Will update this review after my visit. To those thinking of coming here - please please remember this is not so much an urgent care anymore as an official regional practice.

The third time there was the same issue--static, noise of others talking, speakerphone echo and delay at their site. The gentleman asked me just now to call back in an hour! I usually don't like to update a review just to complain about a place, but this is an exception. I…read morestand behind my older review; however, this location dropped the ball on me several times in the passed week and if this review brings attention to the owners of the company (because there is nowhere on the website to address complaints), then so be it. I had three appointments at this PromptMD location this week and all were canceled by the practice. Yep - three. Two were in person and one was tele-med. I had UTI symptoms. If you're a female and have had a UTI, you know how incredibly uncomfortable and dangerous a UTI could be. Albeit they were mild, but I felt something coming on. I made an appointment through the Solv app for Sunday, December 15th at 11:30 AM. The practice's website AND the app said it was open until 2pm. I go to the shopping center, go inside, and see the lights are off upon approaching the practice. There's a sign outside: "Closed due to emergency; will reopen on December 16th." Ok, this is unpleasant and very bad luck. I was annoyed but not angry, emergencies happen - HOWEVER, the company should indicated on Solv that they were closed. I had to cancel my appointment through Solv and it looks like *I* canceled when in reality the practice was closed. (Just FYI, I had a family obligation to attend to after this appointment, and could not go anywhere else by the time it was over.) Unfortunately, I'm a teacher and make little money so I work three jobs, and I had zero time to go back to the doctor. I figured I may as well try the tele-med service on my lunch break. In the meantime, my UTI symptoms got worse. So I scheduled a tele-med appointment for the Weehawken Prompt MD because I literally did not have time to go for an office visit; I get a message from Prompt MD on my phone that a UTI requires an in-house visit. Here is how the conversation via the app goes. PromptMD: This consultation requires an in office visit. Come any time before 7pm. Come any time before 7pm. Me: Your website says you're only open until 4 and I cannot get there until 4:30. PromptMD: We're open, come before 7pm and you should be good. Me: This is for the Weehawken location, correct? PromptMD: please fill out the paperwork. Ok! The representative even created an appointment for me on the Solv app. So I cancel my evening plans to run to PromptMD Weehawken, only to WALK IN TO A DARK OFFICE. The man working behind the counter tells me they're closed. I stated, "I spoke to a representative for PromptMD and they said to come to the Weehawken location." He responds, "There is no doctor here to see you." I ended up having to go to the Hoboken location and waiting for two hours in order to be seen. This type of treatment is unacceptable. If this location does not get as busy as the other locations, then close it - don't randomly close at odd hours because there is no help available. I've have stellar experience with this company so this whole debacle was incredibly disappointing. This needs to be fixed because claiming to be open when you're not is just shady business practice.

But on those rare occasions when I need something stronger than a Tylenol, it can be quite a headache to schedule something with my primary physician. I was resigned to visiting any local urgent care clinic, when I luckily searched and found this location nearby. I called first and they said that I could come right in (no appointments needed - great!) Plenty of free parking as this is located inside the shopping center - miles better than comparable Hoboken or Jersey City locations. After checking in and taking my vitals, Dr Javed gave me a thorough exam and some medicine that helped right away. He was very personable and easy to talk to (unlike other doctors that feel rushed). Would definitely recommend this location going forward!

TURNED AWAY -- No equipment for basic care…read more On April 26th I called ahead to confirm PromptMD Hoboken was open and accepting patients. I arrived with my daughter who had glass embedded in her finger from a broken screen protector. She was in pain and upset. We were told the facility did not have the equipment necessary to remove glass from a wound. We were turned away without any treatment. I was shocked. Removing a small foreign object from a finger is about as basic as urgent care gets. Their own website says they are "dedicated to providing swift and effective treatment for a wide range of urgent medical needs for patients of all ages." I had to take my distressed child to another facility and pay $250 out of pocket. I sent a formal letter requesting reimbursement, followed up directly with the CEO by email, and received no response to either communication in 14 days. I am sharing this so other families in Hoboken know to confirm not just that a facility is open -- but that they actually have the basic equipment to treat you when you get there.

Reasonable waiting time.  Saw Dr Islam, in whom I have the highest level of confidence.

I will note that I am a black woman, and I am also a medical professional who has worked in the urgent care setting as a provider. My first experience was fine. I walked in after a virtual consultation, checked in by a nice lady, and was tested. The PA, Theresa, came in and stood at the door to bark at me if I had any questions and I had none. Received my results rapidly. A mediocre experience. My second experience was great. I walked in after a virtual consultation and was tested. The MA I had, who I regret not remembering her name gave me the best COVID tests I've ever had. She counted down and made the experience almost enjoyable, and provided tissues before and after the test for my comfort. I received my results rapidly and was pleased with my experience. My third experience, which happened this past weekend was atrocious. I had a virtual visit with a PA who was over an hour late to the appointment -- I called the actual site and they told me to leave the appointment site and they would have someone reach out to me in 30 minutes. The PA then called me and went through the questions and she requested I be seen in person and that I can do that at the clinic when I arrived for my test, fine. I walked in during my scheduled appointment time and was greeted by another patient sitting in the lobby who asked me for my information. I was perplexed and turned to the actual front desk reception who said nothing but took down my information. Fine. I sat and waited to be called. As I waited, another receptionist came in and yelled "Ma'am" multiple times into the waiting room until I looked up from my seat, startled, and decided to check me in. I explained that I had already been checked in and she left me alone. I was soon called to the back. I was seated and given no instructions in the chair -- which is fine because I had been here before. Soon, the same PA from my initial visit, Theresa, came in and yelled at me from the door, demanding to know if I was a virtual visit. I explained that the provider from my virtual consultation had asked that I be seen for my symptoms. She continued to yell at me from the door saying that doesn't happen here and then eventually left without saying anything. I was stunned as I sat there. A little bit later, Todd, the MA, came in and started asking me questions. He asked me what I do for work and I explained that I was in the medical profession. After he was done taking my vitals, he said he would be collecting my specimen for COVID 19. I was shocked as I there was no explanation or confirmation from Theresa, and asked if she was coming back first. He said she would but he needed to collect the specimen first. Fine. He collected the specimen with no introduction or preparation for the patient. He did it twice in the same nostril and did not stay in for 10 seconds. At the end, he left. As he was leaving, my nose started to bleed very profusely from the attack and as I had no tissues or anything to stop the bleeding. As such, I bled over my shirt and eventually found gauze in the room. At this point, another PA, entered the room, asked if I was the "NP" very condescendingly and saw that I was distraught and bleeding. He provided me with more gauze and made excuses for Todd saying that they never provided tissues for patients, which was a bold faced lie because, as I mentioned, I had been here previously and was provided said tissues. At this point, I was so fed up with my experience that I asked to leave and my results be uploaded to the portal. I was crying and very upset. I have never been treated this way before at a health care institution and I know for a fact that others have been as well, just looking at these reviews and my partner's experience. Needless to say, I will never come back here as this was an abusive and terrifying experience.
