Had a great experience here today, it was almost like winning a private shopping experience - this place is ginormous with plenty of staffing, actually more customer service associates than customers. Located inside the nearly abandoned Volusia County Mall Dillard's offers plenty of outside entrances with access to all (3) stores without entering the mall, the men's department is located on the backside of the mall and there's plenty of close parking. I swear if you removed the employee's vehicles you could've counted the rest of the cars on one hand on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. It's been forever since I've shopped in a brick and mortar department store with all the online options available but I needed to pick up a few items and was happy to see some great sale prices on clothing that wasn't only on sale racks, some with up to 65% off their original prices. It seemed most of the sale associates were eager to help anyone walking through their department, so it was definitely a unique personal shopping experience. It seems like these jobs are commissioned sales positions or maybe it's just to break the boredom of being employed here nonetheless I enjoyed my time here. The store was immaculate and there was plenty of inventory as you'd expect. I picked up (3) pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks and (4) four shirts all name brand for just under $500. I love online shopping but it was nice to actually touch and feel the merchandise. Be very careful of these lying scumbags. I was verbally offered a job by Keti, but had to relocate and told her as such but was given apartment recommendations, we negotiated an hourly and all was good. I was told I simply needed to meet the store managers and all would be good. I should have been more cautious as I came here and spent 2,000 in weekly hotels and ( now ) a roundtrip airfare back to Texas before they even had the decency to call me telling me the job went to someone else. After talking to Dwey, the store manager, I was given nothing but attitude and mockery for being upset. Since her texts were a bit more cautious than her phone conversations he mocked me and said anyone would pay that much to travel for a chance at an interview...are you kidding me?!?! Heartless and inconsiderate the both of them. Who does that to someone? Apparently Keti and Dewey at Dillard's Daytona Beach....no wonder that place and mall are dead with that kind of culture. I hope they all lose their jobs and be homeless and see how it feels to play with someone's last bit of savings on a lie. read more

I went and did all my Christmas shopping at Dillards yesterday. The store was nice and clean, had everything I wanted to buy and also had exceptional sales help in every department I went to. This is my favorite store. I just moved to Florida and will definitely be back shopping. read more

If I could give zero I would. Cursed at about a fellow employee I knew nothing about and verbally assaulted as I'm walking in the door. What an incredibly low standard for this normally good brand of department store. Of course I'm not all that familiar with the Volusia County malls customer service standards but holy cow. There are 3 different Dillard's. The men's and house wear is by sears, the women's and kids is in the center south side. This is the one with the very strange hair salon that you can watch people as they are getting there hair done. The north side of the center is also woman's with the ladies shoes section. I am not sure of the reasoning to split them up since there is overlap between the two women's stores in the center. Overall they are moderately priced. They have some nice items at times but nothing special. I have usually been here with my wife and/or daughter to look at shoes or dresses. They do have sales on dresses that seem to make them happy. I just wish they had some seating for the husbands. read more

Last week I was just strolling through Dillards with no interest in making a purchase. After coming across this beautiful fragrance specialist name Tashia I had a change of mind. She took interest in me and asked me how I was doing. I found that to be special because normally they don't take any interest in people at Department Stores unless you buy something. After telling her about my day she offered to show me a beautiful fragrance. I ended up purchasing it and will be doing my holiday shopping with her as my consultant. read more

Corey was an amazing help! I honestly have never had a good or memorable experience at any dillards, always been a blah experience. But i came here today for some shoes and he immediately asked if I needed any sizes of the shoe i was looking at, and was quick with the retrieval of them. Even though he was taking care of other customers as well. He has an amazing ability to be incredibly helpful with you as a customer without being pushy at all. Definitely will ask for him again next time i return. He made an otherwise uneventful shopping trip be a very memorable one, and im so so gretful for his genuine personality and assistantance. I don't understand the separate stores. Doesn't matter, it's not changing. I just needed my own department, which in this particular visit, was Betseyville. Once I found it, I was thrilled. Lots of Betsey Johnson purses, two of the ones I wanted freshly marked down. No complaints here. Although it took me some time to find someone to help me out, once I did, she was helpful. . .it really should not have taken me that long to secure help, but whatever, I got my bag. An absolute horrendous experience coming in to return a pair of boots I ordered online today, not only is the store empty of any cashiers/ employees on the floor, the manager was a pompous and blatantly arrogant, unhelpful woman. She was fixated over requiring the gigantic plain cardboard box to return the shoes and insisted they were "dirty" when they had only been tried on once with a clean sock inside my home upon arrival. The boot was delivered to me with a scuff when it was supposed to be brand new condition. Not only did this experience ruin my impression of Dillards, this specific location with this hidden grinch of a manager left a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot fit the shoes or use them and simply wanted to exchange or refund them. Now I am stuck with new oversized bright colored boots I can't use and an unnecessary hassle from some bitter middle-aged woman. I could have simply bought new shoes here and used that box if it was such a big deal, Dillards will never recieve my business or recommendations again. Nice work at being utterly repulsive and drawing away customers. She needs to be fired. read more

I bought a couple of fashion jeans for my teen daughter. She tried them on at home since their fitting rooms were closed when we were there. She liked one, and decided to return the second because they were too tight and uncomfortable. The tags came off but I brought them back. The jeans had been in a Dillards bag and they were a bit on the wrinkled side but new. I drove back to the Daytona store about 10 days later because this Dillards is a ways from where we live. Had to wait a while for a clerk to show up and help me. When finally trying to return, the sales clerk called her manager for approval, (had to wait another long while), in turn the manager denied my return claiming tags were off and signs of wear. The manager was rude and snappy toward me right in front of my 13 year old daughter. Dillards is NOT a customer friendly or family friendly store! The jeans were returnable but their stiff unconventional return policies make it very difficult for the customer to return legit merchandise that is returnable anywhere else!! In this day and age, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER OPTIONS TO SHOP AT IN ANY PRICE RANGE YOU CHOOSE, both brick-and-mortar and online stores, that are 1000x more customer oriented, friendlier and understanding to the consumer, not to mention you can easily pay less compared to Dillards overpriced and un-returnable merchandize. I will not be shopping at this store ever again!!! read more

I hate the fact that this store takes up three large spaces in the Volusia Mall when other stores with better merchandise and a better store in general could be using the space. Out of three Dillards in this mall, they have no coat department. All of the bathrooms and all of the stores are absolutely filthy with a disgusting stinch. There's hardly ever any one working in any of the stores. I could shop two departments without seeing anyone and have to walk two or three more departments down just to locate someone to ring out my items. It's crazy. They have this giant junior department with a whole lot of nothing. Literally, it's just a bunch of odd items that you would either never wear or not typically wear. It's just not practical. Why don't they just give up already and downsize so somebody else can come in there and remodels so that there can be a cleaner store, cleaner bathrooms and a better experience for people in town. read more

She is extremely knowledgeable and was accommodating to myself to two other customers all at the same time! We all agreed that she was so polite and gave us all the attention we deserved! Dillards is a. Great store. High end clothing, shoe dept, cosmetics & home dept. years ago they got 3 stores because they carried so many different items. Now because of the internet people shop on line so they are getting less stock in the store (and I love that they have free shipping to the store.) Their quality is far better then Macy's or any of the other stores in Volusia Mall. Can you imagine what kind of shopping experience you would have if ALL of their items were in 1 store!!!
