We have had our boat at Dillon's Creek for 7 years now, under both the old and new owner. The current owner cares deeply about the marina experience for all, runs a tight ship and improves the property with regularity whether it be landscaping, security or connectivity. The staff also works hard to make the experience seamless. We are completely happy with our time there and enjoy the social events. I must mention the incredible mechanics on site. We have learned the hard way that our boat has mechanical design flaws but these men innovate and create solutions for the various problems. They are so knowledgeable while being courteous and neat. Dillion's Creek marina is Beautiful!! Great location, clean restrooms, a pump out that does not work well, and amazing views! All for $180 plus per foot (which includes all the "hidden" fees). Ok let's get to the hidden truth. The old owner Brian was hated by EVERYONE! And they kept his son employed which has similar business practices! Like Father like son! So we got a new owner! Elliot! spoiled daddy's boy.. The expression "lipstick on a pig" has never been more truthful. He belittled this 20-year-old kid in a parking lot over parking his JetSki temporarily waiting for his father to show up, over July 4th weekend. Mind you, his family has 3 slips at the marina for 10 years. He was very aggressive with me as well! (I will leave my Personal opinion of him and his wife to myself). He bores the slip holders to death with his own drunken stories every night, but they all are too polite to say anything but will talk shit behind his back all day! Elliot - go find friends! There are 2 females (Can't say ladies) that talk meanly about kids every time the kids are around and having fun. At the pool they act like they own the place!! you two know who you are! If you don't like being around children and complain about them, then simply leave! Rude! Other people there enjoy seeing children having fun. Mind you, there are only 10 kids, at the most that frequent the facilities. They sell you on family place my butt.... They have signs everywhere "dogs on leash" but they don't put their own dog on a leash!! Practice what you Preach! FAKE NEWS! Four reviews on this site are fake from employees and his mother! Let's move on! I went into the marina office asking for help with one of my boats safety issues and his wife, Karen, forgot to inform her husband in a timely fashion which caused huge issues. The son of the old owner who I spoke with directly in the service department would not help me for over 3 weeks after informing him I was going on a trip because he was too busy with Formula warranty service work. I attempted to bring in a sub, as per the agreement prior to the new owner, and was denied and told to my face that they changed the policy, without putting it in writing or an email to the slip holders. I have Cummings diesel's! You'd be mad not to use Chuck from CB Marine and they would not allow him on the property even after he's been there many times servicing other peoples boats for 15 years. FYI you can bring your boat for the day or week and use anybody you want at Lighthouse point marina to fix your boat! Just call ahead and ask for Carmen. That's where I moved my boat! They have a real pool not that tiny over sized hot tub with horrible hours, it closes at 4 pm on the weekend. They blame it on insurance!! ANOTHER LIE. I have owned two insurance agencies and I know commercial insurance! They rob you in the service department any chance they get. Do not get your boat serviced there! One example is a friend on the dock asked for a full detail they quoted him $2100. To begin with, that is more money than anyone should pay for a 38 foot boat. Just a polish!! After the boat was put in the water he received a bill for $700 more. . I got my boat done for 1,200 and my boat is 7 feet longer with a bridge! This is the most common problem with this marina. Another example is using an employee to install complicated radar equipment and charging them $3000 and it still doesn't work till this day. No refund or compensation for anything and they broke his boat! Amazing bad service. I have more but running out of space! Here is a perfect example.. the owner told all the boaters you cannot Wash your boat on the ground before you launch. They won't let you use water there.. look at the law in NJ! This year I bought my first boat and happened to go to Dillons Creek for a tour. It was clean, quiet and friendly. I am happy to say that I berthed my boat there and have been extremely happy. Elliot and Karen, the new owners, are great! Being a new boater I had a few questions, more like a few hundred, they spent the time and answered everything I asked to include Elliot and one of the staff,Chris, getting on my boat with me and teaching me how to safely back into my dock. Their kindness and patience with me will never be forgotten. Many times Elliot would stop and help me after hours on his own time. Wonderful people and a wonderful place. read more

I recently joined the boating world. Not knowing a thing about marinas, I picked Dillon's based on their location. I visited them, and will forever slip my boat there. Between the manager Brian and the ladies in the office they are the best. Friendly and helpful to put it mildly. Their marina is amazingly beautiful, well kept and wonderfully located. Everyone that I have met at the slips feels like a long lost friend. I wish I got a boat and discovered this place and people years ago! Sadly the season is coming to an end, looking forward to spring and returning to what feels like a second home. read more

Dillon's Creek Marina is a really lovely, well kept Marina. The boatyard service is horrible! I bought a one owner, 30 year old boat there that had spent 26 years in this marina. The marina owner told me that the previous owner was "not the kind of guy that did work on his own boat." this implied that all the work on this boat was done here for 26 years. I had the yard do some work for me to prepare for the delivery home. I had spent time talking with the Marina Manager/owner. He talked a really good game about how he prided himself on service and reputation. During the survey some things were brought to light, I asked that some of the items be addressed, by this yard, before I finalize the deal. One was to rebuild the toilet. They ripped out the $450 raritan household sized toilet and replaced it with a cheap $150 Jabsco compact size and the waste hose was left leaking! also to adjust the rudder stop because it was only catching by about an 1/8 of an inch, they added a piece of rubber hose. another was to make the engine ready for the journey and pump out all the old diesel and replace with new. They did not clean out the water separator that had all kinds of floaty things in it. Did not replace the belt which obviously it need. All this to the tune of around $1200 and he needed payment before I left!! No wonder! They admitted installing the new wind/speed/depth instruments. they routed all the cables right down the middle of the bilge. they didn't even bother to add a junction box at the bottom of the mast They didn't bother to connect the wind to the speed and depth. they left the Backbone Tees without terminators! No wonder the instruments were giving crazy readouts! They said, "oh it just needs calibrated..." They admitted installing all new batteries and a charger. Well the refrigeration and bilge pump was hooked up the start battery. the reason for a separate start battery was to isolate it! The charger was not even charging the house bank. The ground was connected wrong he said. obviously they test nothing after the do a "repair" or an installation. For some unknown reason they disconnected the water heater and bypassed the plumbing on the engine and the fresh water system. I left numerous messages asking why things were done the way they were, no return calls. I left messages with live people, not voicemail. And she'd say, "I don't know he hasn't returned your call yet..." These guys are the highest level of corner cutters! Its a great place to visit but, god forbid you need any work done! read more
