I truly hate to have to write this unsatisfactory review but I have been put in a bad spot with a…read morebotched wood floor reviving job done by Aqua Steam last year. I was told they could make my old wood floors (the finish was very worn down) look nice without having to fully refinish them. They said they could clean and rough them up and apply a new coat of finish that would be scratch proof. Well, after waiting the recommended amount of time before moving us and our dogs back in, the dogs claws began severely scratching the floors just from walking on them. I called about it and was told it's my problem for having dogs in the first place and that he wasn't sure those scratches weren't already there before. Well, that's just totally untrue as this is the house I grew up in and there have been dogs walking on these floors for over 50 years that I know of without ever scratching them...wearing the finish down, yes, scratching, no. He finally offered another coat at a discounted rate and this time we would stay off them longer. Well, that coat looked dull after several days of drying and didn't cover the scratches. I was told by one of the workers that the floors needed to to completely sanded and refinished and that the "quick fix" I was sold on wasn't going to work. They ultimately didn't charge for that second coat but in the past year, the scratches have gotten very bad and now the finish is flaking off in places. The owner was so very ugly to me in our last phone conversation that I don't feel comfortable even contacting them again. Basically, he doesn't want to admit that he made a mistake trying to put a finish on wood floors without sanding them down first. I've noticed in their radio ads, he no longer mentions wood floors. (I called them in the first place because of radio ads saying they could revamp your wood floors) I feel very frustrated because I spent a LOT of money on this botched job and now I'm facing having to find someone else and spending even more to get it done right plus the hassle of having to move everything again just a year later. I do believe he had good intentions going into this project but could not own up to the fact that it didn't work or offer me any restitution. Then to be rude to me and try to throw blame at me to boot...very disappointing indeed!

Cost: $2,5270.50 Brent the owner, is a gifted salesman, whose product did not live up to his promises. It was supposed to be a 2 day job. I was told I would only have to move tv's and computers. he never said anything about packing anything. I was not given info of what to expect or what was expected of me. I did however spend a week boxing up small items, so all they would have to move was the furniture and boxes. I had to call the day before to make sure they were still coming. When his 2 employees showed up they called Brent to say they needed help moving furniture and boxed items. Brent showed up and the 3 of them rapidly started moving my things, boxed items and small furniture in the bedrooms was piled on top of the beds. They started with the Terrazzo floors first day, but still piled items on the master bed, which is a carpeted room to do the following day. They were there from 8 am-7pm! The floors could not be walked on, so at 7pm I had to find somewhere to go with my family and pets. The next morning they came back to finish the job, the left before I got back. I was very disappointed with the finished product,The floors were Not a high gloss...a dull spotty inconsistent shine at best. I sent Brent a text saying: " Quite a bit of stuff I will have to move back. I didn't expect it to left in the shower and on the bed. The kitchen table is still outside. Your guy did say he would leave small stuff for me, I didn't think he would leave it like this. I even told him I would come back to show him where everything went. Seems like they were in a rush to get out of here. I also wish you would have told me that they were going to work so late yesterday and that we wouldn't be able to stay here. At the last minute I was having to figure out where to put the animals, and where we could stay for the night, it was quite stressful" ...I was going to put his response, but when I looked on my phone his texts were gone!! I found out you can get an app that deletes your texts from other peoples phones! So I would recommend screenshots to anyone texting with Brent, and document conversations and take pictures of before and after. To Brent's credit, he did send his crew back to fix the job...twice. He even told me on the second trip he would give me a mop and cleaner for the floor, but on the last day he only showed me a picture of what to buy. This end result was not worth the inconvenience, the final product, and the owners snarky tone at times and his blaming my floors (he's supposed to be the floor professional) I paid top dollar for what I thought would be a top dollar job, it was not. . There are hairs in the sealer coat and the shine is still not consistent throughout the house. When they came back to do the sealer again the second time they just did the living areas and not the 3 terrazzo bedrooms. I had already paid him, so I asked him for a partial refund, which he refused by remarking how much time they had already spent coming back. I guess in his mind fixing his company's incomplete/ poorly done job is somehow the clients fault? T2 of the carpeted rooms were OK, the master bedroom had light brown streaks after drying. I would post pictures, but it's hard to really see variants in shine and hairs in the sealer. I invite anyone considering using Aqua Steam to come see my floors and judge yourself. I do have photos of what was left in the shower and beds, and the knotted up curtains. Feel free to email me if you would like to come see, nikkismay@gmail.com
