The staff cared so much so that they each felt like family to us. The staff in the infant program have amazing eye for details and made sure we had a full report on their day at pick up. They were just as excited about major milestones as us and were happy to share tips on what works/didn't work with our children. The staff at the multi age program treated the children like friends and made each child feel special with sweet gesture such as painting pictures of their favorite toys. Both programs are play based but does not mean they do not learn. My children have grown to be very independent and their kindergarten teachers were amazed with what they knew already. The 20th location is extremely convenient. If there is traffic to the bridge, we can take the side streets coming from 8th Ave. There are always plenty of parking right in front so that we don't have to go far or worry about children in the parking lot. Then she said they have a drop in option in case they have a cancellation of one of their children. She emailed to me to fill out the documents and the she wanted my confirmation that I got her email. But she doesn't confirm any email that I send to her, she just ignored them. That is not serious, we are talking about taking care a 16 months old baby. She said there was a spot for her,then, the same day she said there is not. Next week she emailed me again that got another cancellation I replied her that Id like to take that spot and please I need the confirmation about the time. She didn't, and I insisted next day and she continued to ignore me. Next day she apologized, because she expected to see me there at that time, and few hours later she lies to me and says she replied me but I didn't get her email. Obviously, there's a chain of emails you can check again in case you don't see it, so don't lie please. After this, I don't trust them anymore, they could lie again about anything.. Unprofessional daycare in my opinion.. :(

BMS did an excellent job with the gradual transition and were very supportive for her. They were accommodating and gave us good suggestions for how we could support her. She's fully transitioned now and thriving. The teachers are able to maintain and fun, calm, and stimulating learning environment where we've seen some huge changes overall with our child's development. We really appreciate the organized weekly reports, month ahead schedules, parent-teacher interviews, and parent observations. The teachers were great and seem very fair with all the kids, no favouritism at all. They are a play-based preschool but in the end my daughter learnt her alphabet and how to write her name. My daughter is currently in her second year here and I will definitely put my son here as well. I think aside from the teachers the playground just outside the school is perfect for toddlers. My only gripe is that special outings tend not to be scheduled during the same time as school time so you will have to reschedule your day during these days although they are few and they give ample notice.

While we were there, we called and mailbox is not assign and we email Shaun also. I guess the first RED flag was it took him around a week to even get back to us for this appointment. Place was not very secure too, someone could have easily came into the premises and took all the toys away.

This is the 5 star. From the moment we walked in the door, we were hit with a sense of both home and calm. The environment was all about calm, neutral colors, child lead art, plants, animals, and natural materials like wood, branches, leaves, and pinecones. When we walked past the kitchen, it smelled like fresh baking (the children were cooking with one of the teachers). On the rug in the adjacent area, an instructor was leading a group of children in a yoga class. It was almost comically amazing. We were lead through to the main activity room and talked a bit about the philosophy of the centre, where we learned that they follow a 'emergent' curriculum, which is apparently about learning the children's interests and building the curriculum to suit. Naturally. Though I wasn't surprised, I was still very disappointed to learn there are more than 100 families ahead of us on the waitlist. Still, we may get in depending on the circumstances. Here's hoping!

She is caring, knowledgeable, and most of all the kids actually listen to her! We sent our middle child here a few years back and are now sending our youngest. There was never any separation anxiety with either of my boys on the first day, the teacher makes them feel that welcome and individually special. My middle guy is now in kindergarten and his teachers were thoroughly impressed with his knowledge of the numbers, letters, and letter sounds. I know it is because of this school that my son has now done so well in full day kindergarten. I want to share this school with others so that their children can flourish as mine have.
