So I walked in and was immediately attended to by a lady who was very eager to help me find my selected model and color in my size. She couldn't speak good English, but it didn't matter. I couldn't speak very good English either. In about 15 minutes I was out of the store with a wonderful smile on my face and a nice discount. Go go old-fashioned shopping! I have been wearing the shoes for 2 days now! She even jokingly pointed that my old pair of walking boots were too warm for the ongoing heat wave. Yet another reason to come back to Düsseldorf-- shoe shopping!

Well, as it turned out it is a goth shop, and has a huge range of clothes that are basically, well, all black, but then again what else would you expect a goth to where. Oh, they also sell Schmuck (which is German for jewellery, and personally I recon it is a much better name for the stuff). I ended up just buying a little statuette namely because I really did stand out in this place (since I wasn't actually wearing any black), but still, it was pretty cool. Classic looks and classic customer service complement each other very well here. I had the pleasure of being helped by Bahar, who despite not having my original model in stock understood my style perfectly and found something in stock that fit perfectly. When a few dozen steps indicated the side of the shoe was a tad tight, Bahar pulled out a spray and treated the calf's leather so that it got just the right little give on the side. Their selection of bags and accessories is not to be missed either, and for the ladies there is quite a nice shoe lineup as well. In a world that seems increasingly split between "big-box" stores with low-quality commodities and high-end luxury boutiques, Lloyd takes us back to a comfortable spot in the middle where quality and customer service still reign.

The staff are really nice and helpful. The clothing selection is good here. Note that sizes are different from Japan. For example, the L size in Japan is an M size in Germany. Highly recommended for great quality clothing at reasonable prices!

Don't believe what the big companies are advertising, they're just pushing the latest products. Afew has done the work for you and selected shoes that are fashionable and current. I don't know what they would officially call their style, but think urban and Hype Beast. From older photos, it looks like they used to have a larger selection of apparel, hats, and accessories, but when I went, it was cut down to a small selection displayed within the counter. No racks. Too bad.
