A Star Is Born, With Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand. Asked me to pick a Springville restaurant, look at the menu, and tell her what we would like. She then informed me of a time to be at the theater. At 5 pm on Thursday, 6/12/25, we pulled up to the theater. The Markee poster " Happy Birthday Sharon". we were greeted by Russell and Nadine and escorted to the front of the theater where a table had been set up with two place settings, a tablecloth, candles and flowers, not real but beautiful. On the huge screen was the title, A Star is Born. Nadine brought in our dinner they ordered for us. There we were , only us, for a private dinner and show. It brought tears. Only two-thirds of the video was on screen. I got up and mentioned to a kid at the concessions stand who appeared to go up to the booth. However, over 10 minutes went by, nothing was done and everyone sat there "hoping" the actual movie wasn't going to be that way. When it was, we were moved to another theater with a lot fewer seats. When I mentioned there might not be enough seats I was told, "There are. There are 24 total." He was right but it was going to tough for groups to still sit together as the room was barely the size of a screening room in a fancy house. Fully half of the theater was less than 10' from the screen that was half the size of what we started with. I didn't feel the inconvenience was MY fault, so I just asked for my money back. Up front, no one blames the kids that got thrown out into the public because I didn't see a manager there, at least not one that identified themselves. We'll probably be back but today was a BAD look.
