They get no stars. Direct auto insurance will add people to you account without your approval. They will take people off of your account without your approval. They will take extra money out of your account without you knowing causing your bank account to be over drafted. I've never had more problems with a insurance company in my life. I've heard and seen bad reviews about them. I've been trying to get my account fixed for the past 5 days and still not fixed. read more

This is literally the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. In the beginning I paid a…read moredownpayment and then two weeks later was notified that another payment was due. This was not told to me at all in the beginning. Who has over $1000 in one month for car insurance. I was made aware that if I waited two more weeks then I would be charged a late fee every single month which I had no choice but to pay every single month totaling an additional $60 to the life of my policy. I was then told there was nothing that could be done and nobody could change the continuous late fees. Now fast forward to the end of the 6 month policy. I paid two weeks ago and was not even notified of the fact that if I do not pay to renew now I am without insurance. If I could give them zero stars I would!!

Paid off BTW. My monthly premium went up $150. When I called to ask of course they didn't respond. Not open on weekends or after 4 pm local. Then I was contacted by said agent. He promised lower monthly premium after I paid the $450 payment on December. The payment went down to $308. Of course the tough guy "Veteran" charged me a different price after two months. I was a customer of Mr. Royce Williams for many years but decided to go with another insurance…read moreagency after Mr. Williams had some staff turnover and it appeared that issues were starting to occur based upon that fact. I contacted Mr. Royce Williams office to let them know that I had changed banks and that they needed to stop drafting my old account. That didn't occur, and they over-drafted a closed account which caused all sorts of issues. Then, after I informed Mr. Royce Williams that I would be going to a new insurance agency, he didn't cancel the insurance policy which resulted in an invoice being created while I had insurance with another insurance company. Mr. Royce Williams refused to delete that particular invoice after I had proven that I had another insurance company covering me during the time period he billed me for. (double coverage) I paid the invoice so that I didn't continue to get bills from Mr. Royce Williams' office, but I certainly should not have been billed for insurance I had already canceled. I would suggest picking a different insurance agent other than Mr. Royce Williams, just in case any kind of issue ever needs resolving.
