I've had counselors and what not for decades and only had one other that I connected with. I've seen Emma for a couple of months and I feel like we are so connected. She's so compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. I can go on and on about her really. She's the only person I really feel comfortable actually opening up to. It was NOT easy but I called, made an appointment with Christine and went in. Told her everything I could about me in a snapshot for our first appointment and then that was it. I reached out a COUPLE times to reschedule and she just said she would "send me some times" and never got y response. The doctors are a joke they don't help anyone. They use patients as guinea pigs. They violate the disability act, violate the HIPA law and also the POA of patients medical. basically let mental ill people leave there facility even when the are told by the patient that they are going to harm themselves or someone else. They also have a nurse there by the name of RUTH that thinks it is ok to stick her finger in the face of parents. Called the director Linda Miller which did nothing to resolve the issue you spoke to her about. Also contacted the Director of the facility Matthew Easley twice and no return call. Wow. Top rated hospital. You better run for the hills. You be better off there than here. This is the type of care we give to mentally ill adults but if they had cancer they would be getting top care. We better start to look at mental illness differently and start helping these patients who need the help and stop worrying about making money and how many drugs we are going to pump them with.
