This review informs potential customers of our poor experience dealing with Direct Pro Windows and Doors, and, most particularly, their salesperson, Alex. On October 26, 2021, we entered into an agreement with Direct Pro to deliver and install seven new windows, including two bow windows, and windows in the kitchen, dining room, two upstairs bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom. The agreed price was $10,800. After 10 months, our cost had now increased to $14,650. In March 2022, measurements and other specifications were rechecked by a Direct Pro technician. He concluded that Alex had underestimated the extent of new framing that would be necessary for the windows. Alex said our contract would have to be amended. Initially, he estimated that an additional $3500 would have to be added to the contract, but he said he'd give us a break and charge us only $2200 more. We were surprised he made such a simple error, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. On April 27, 2022, installation of the windows began. The installation crew was careful and hard-working. Installation went well until installation of the two bow windows began. We were taken aback by the design: at every junction of the window panes, there was now a tall "fin" protruding about 5", with a width of 2". This was not at all what we agreed to. Indeed, we had no prior discussion about the design of these windows. We assumed that these windows would be like the bow windows shown in the Direct Pro website gallery. We could not accept the ugly design which Alex had directed to be built. The installers agreed it was most unusual. And they refused to complete the job as it was clear we were not happy with it. Alex said if we wanted to change the bow windows back to the usual design, we'd have to pay an additional $2000 because all the bow windows would have to be taken out and replaced. I refused because he was totally at fault. My wife agreed to pay him $1000 because he told her the installers would not return if we did not pay. On May 2, the installers returned to complete the work. Instead of removing the bow windows and reinstalling them, they said Alex told them to just remove the wood beams in between the windows. They used sledge-hammers. The wood frames around the panes were then in poor shape, but the installers said they could cover up most of the blemishes and gouges with ¼" thin wood planking. It still did not look good with the many remaining screw holes left in the window frames. The installers covered these up with wide plastic strips. We weren't happy with the appearance. We were just as concerned with the functionality (both short- and long-term) of the openers at both ends of the bow windows. Since that time, the openers on the bow windows had become increasingly misaligned/ warped. They didn't close at the top and the latches were very difficult to open and close. On August 17, we paid for a visit by technicians from the window manufacturers. They were able to make the windows shut, from top to bottom, by installing new clasps. We hoped this was the end of the problem. But, by September 7, the warping had begun again; the openers were very hard to open and shut. We fear that the warping/misalignment is permanent and will only get worse with time. With the recent announcement of "dissolution pending" by a federal agency against Direct Pro, we are now concerned that any service we require to fix this problem will no longer be available from Direct Pro. Had our services completed in 2017, the quality of the materials advertised and the products that were installed were a little questionable. Nonetheless, got in contact with them yesterday about a possible warranty claim regarding a torn net on two out of the seven windows that were installed. The manager in charge was extremely rude, lacked professionalism, hung up the phone on me, spoke to me with extreme sarcasm and did not bother to resolve the issue nor did he offer any form of compensation. Instead, he was more interested in blaming us and accusing us of damaging our windows. If it had not been for the way we were treated yesterday, we would have had no issues with this company. But, customer service is absolutely important to the purchasing journey; so this company lacks that ability. Products were okay, and they have not given us any issues over the past three years, but the lack of professionalism in dealing with the warranty claims or customers is unacceptable! read more

Direct Pro Window Installed my window year ago and it's leaking air during winter. we call them to fix since one year no one want to listen. their installer asked me that this leaking is minor you have to survive with it. I would suggest do not waste your time and Money with DIRECT PRO WINDOWS and door. Their managers and agents are great cheaters. only advise which one benefited them. After my first review the company called me that you choose wrong windows but when their agent was at my place They pushed me to choose wrong windows as we are not window expert which one good or bad. Whatever their salesman Vladimir and Eugene advised we agreed to select window. We do not know their sales team working to see only their commission not good choice towards customer. Their agent advise us and we agreed to install window upon their demonstration. After now one years Direct pro window GM called and excuse that our choice was wrong. How come your sales person not advise us for the right one. Even we told them we need window as the older one was there but they convinced us to showing benefit and make us choose bad one. I suggest please please do not go with DIRECT PRO. They all are one family and showing excuses after job done. If their mistake why they do not accept and fix the issues. Window is.long term investment and need to make right choice. I do not recommend anyone to go Direct pro. I am sure you will be feel cheated after installation. read more

We had a Window replacement contractor install Bay windows at the front back of our home. They installed it incorrectly, causing air seepage. We had a lot of trouble with that company, so we eventually called Evgeny to come out and replace the windows. The warranty contract was very clear, he was a real professional about everything. The job was completed in a timely manner. His guys were very knowledgeable and I learned quite a few things about window installation by observing and speaking with them throughout the process.
