Last month Direct Processors contacted me and sold me a new processing program for Visa and Mastercards. I was told verbally I would pay 100.00 membership fee and .10 a card when it was swiped...This would be a GREAT DEAL!..There is a company in Orange County, CA doing this very thing, so I believed them. They sent a contract thru docusign and I signed it, but could not read it until it was printed out...even printed out it was such small print, I needed two pairs of glasses. I am 66 years old and seeing stuff this small is a challenge! I discovered that there was no 100.00 month service charge, but a lease on the processor, an old FD130,for 48 months totally 4,800.00...(these processors retail at best for 399.00) I have been in business here for 39 years, with a great reputation (Google: Westwerk German Auto) I don't screw anybody, so I just assume no one would do this to me. I tried calling Direct Processors for two weeks daily and got an answering machine and no call back. I wished to pay full price for the processor, as I had with all my other processors. No one returned my calls, even when the processor went down! RED FLAG #1 I got my first statement and it was NOT from Direct Processors, but from First Data, a very reputable company. There was a phone number on the statement....I explained to them that I wanted to buy the processor not lease it for 4,800.00 and they seemed to know NOTHING about this! RED FLAG #2 I did some research... Ascentium Capital is holding the lease on this processor and debiting my account. I tried calling them...I even offered to pay the lease up front at the amount they probably owed direct processors for putting me into this lease...I offered them 2,000.00 just to get rid of them!..(Still way too much to pay for this processor), but I was trying to make everyone happy.... They said I could buy out the lease and get them off my back but, it cost me $6,000.00!!!..Oh My God!....for a 399.00 processor...REALLY? That's when I knew they were also dirty...they are in bed with the Direct Processor broiler room.... RED FLAG#3 Direct Processors has a D+ on line and a mile long list of people scammed just like me. Ascentium Capital also has a list of complaints a mile long for this same thing..leases on processors...its a GREAT SCAM. I called a rep from First Data to my office and they explained to me that these folks had cleverly covered all bases......There is even a clause in their contract that says "we are not bound by anything we SAY,but only to what they buyer signs"..and in my case...I could not see it until it was ELECTRONICALLY SENT TO THEM and I printed out at my end! Had these silly young people made it clear to me that I would be paying for this processors for the next four years, I would have told them that I am retiring soon, and I will not even be using the processor for the next 4 years. I WOULD CERTAINLY NEVER AGREED TO SUCH A STUPID LEASE EVEN IF I WERE NOT RETIRING! They got my electronic signature and for them its a "license to kill"...it may be technically "legal" what they have pulled, but it certainly is not moral! read more

BE AWARE! DO NOT ENGAGE IN BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT. About 3 days ago I received a call regarding credit card processing services from Direct Processors. I told them I have recently changed from my credit card processing company and I wasn't interested in doing business with them at that time. They insisted that I allowed give them a copy of my contract for them to compare the rates and see if it was a good option for me. The next day after sending them the documents and agreeing to send me their offer via mail; I received 6 phone calls to my business over a period of 2 hours and when I was finally able to take the call; I told Gerico Rodriguez I was still waiting for their offer. He seemed confused and didn't have idea who he was talking to. Gerico was rude and definitively unfit to work in sales he proceeded to ask me whether or not I was going to business with them. I simply reply that I didn't know what was his offer so there was not decision for me to make and with that attitude I was no longer interested in engage in a business relationship with his company. He simple used the F word and hang up on me. I tried calling back to his company and asked to speak to a manager and I was told Gerico Rodriguez was the manager the same person harass me and insult me. After doing a little more research I found many more complaints for other businesses that experience a similar harassment and even after they finalized a contract with Direct Processors the rates and promises made over the phone didn't match what actually got. This is a very shady company on their website they mislead people into believing that have a 5 star rating across all major social networks and in reality is barely a 2 start score save your self a headache and fine a better credit card processing company. read more

Their sales team uses bait-and-switch tactics to get you to sign up, assuring me I would be saving money. Also, I was given a month-to-month addendum which was supposed to waive all early termination fees. I ended up spending a lot more money using them instead of Square, and then when I wanted to cancel my account they said I'm responsible for the remaining monthly fees. I ended up paying to get out of the contract and learned a very expensive lesson. If i had the option, i wouldn't even take cards for my business. But since thats how most people pay these days, i do. Its going to be expensive no matter who processes your card payments. I switched to these guys after over a dozen phone calls and breaking down several of my statements for cost comparison. It seemed too good to be true. My first month was horrible, it took a few days to fix, but Holly and Kevin straightened everything out. Absolute total scam!! I could duplicate everything everyone else said on here! They seem so professional until you sign on the dotted line. When I told him I wanted to wait until the following day to make such a big business decision... they got the big guy John on the phone, he had me in tears he absolutely would not let me out of my contract that I just signed seconds before. Stay away from this horrible company!! The last time I was treated like this was during a high-pressure sale of timeshare in Mexico. We signed up with Direct Processors in 2016 with the understanding we were month to month, cancel whenever you need or want to. As it turns out that is far from the truth. Three more years for the service and four years for the equipment. When you call management for assistance they are unprofessional but are good at reading the fine print. Thanks to her I know now this is not what we wanted from a merchant but that is what we are stuck with for three more years. Two stars: The merchant service is good, the equipment is great, some staff are pleasant and they answer the phone but the agreement was tainted by the salesman. Please take heed and look at other credit card processing companies. Be safe and go with the one your bank recommends. Direct Processors made promises they did not keep. Hard sell to get me to sign a contract asap..."Don't you want to save $$thousands every year?". They had me DocuSign the contract, but once completed, there were extra pages added in that I NEVER saw and were never reviewed. Of course they were the key pages of the agreement that were never covered with me. When I received my contract via mail, I tried calling and they got down right mean with me, telling me I couldn't cancel. - I was locked into a 48 month lease for the equipment paying $400/month. Cannot get out of the equipment lease with First Data, but I realized they lied about being able to cancel the Direct Processor's contract, so eventually I got out of that portion of the contract. - My monthly fees ended up being the highest I have ever seen at 4-5%. In addition to the monthly equipment lease. - Every month I had to scour my statement for incorrect fees. These were mainly PCI fees for non-compliance, but I was fully in compliance and they removed them once I pointed them out, but reappeared the next month. Don't spend your time having to do this! - Cancellation fees for leaving Direct Processors were over $1800. Sadly I'm happy to pay just to get as far as possible from them. -10 STARS. DIRECT PROCESSORS IS CORRUPT! DO NOT BE MISLEAD OR FALL FOR THEIR LIES AND PROMISES. Direct Processors contacted my business to solicit credit card processing. It just so happens that I was interested in switching processors, so I listened to their formal proposal, though NONE of what they said was true or accurate. They strategically weave multiple clauses into their contracts without disclosing upfront. I started using Direct Processors on July 21st 2018, and was promised a 1% fee on amounts processed by credit card, a $299/month flat fee, and $0.07 per transaction. It all sounded fair. By August 10th--less than one month later-- I received my first statement, and was shocked by what they had already taken. Turns out, the 1% rate only applies to "Qualified" cards, which, according to their definition, means the select few out there that do not come with miles, points, or cash back. Had I even known to ask for clarification, I would never have invested the time. Although I had been told I could cancel at any time for $250, this was not true. I was also informed that my contract for equipment lease is seperate from my processing contract, and that I was locked into a lease for 4 years at $299/month. This would end up costing me close to $14,000! And NOBODY was willing to help me, let alone listen. In fact, they treated me as if they had zero interest in my confusion. After hours of meaningless attempts, I have decided to hire legal help. I've done some research and found that while Direct Processors has a high number of negative reviews regarding their services, the perks of being employed by this sneaky company are ever growing. The customer service reps, sales associates, and telemarketers are hired and trained to operate as one manipulative unit. Common decency and rapport is not a part of their business model, so save yourself the time, frustration, and hours of meaningless phone tag. First things first they will lie so hard to get you to sign up. They are pretty good at that! I was promised that if I didn't like the service or the terminal I had until 90-days and I could cancel my contract with 0 penalties. Well there's a reason they don't record their phone calls because it was a complete lie! Told them I wasn't happy with the clover system because I really don't need this much stuff and it would just be easier to run a small cc machine. Offered to send product back, they said that's fine but no matter what they are going to charge me for it. Told them I'm not a satisfied customer and id appreciate them to honor their side of the deal, "its just business" the lady (Holli) said. I do agree with the business part, but who wants unhappy customer's? How can the owner be proud of the name of his company? id be ashamed of the business model for sure. I'm very proud of what I do because I make sure 100% my customers walk out satisfied and ALWAYS make sure they are coming back again in the future! I wish I would've read the reviews before doing business with them. These people only want you to sign with them, after that, they don't take care of you. I want to thank Kevin S. for taking his time and patience to take care of us. I have a mom and aunt who don't understand English well and he was very willing to help them. It wasn't until my mom tried talking to a supervisor, she asked for a name and the lady replied back with "I'm not going to tell you and if you guys call back, we will send you to voicemail until we get the paperwork we need." First off, my mom has a right to call CUSTOMER SUPPORT to understand the rates, terms, etc. Second, you don't send a customer who needs help to voicemail. I understand "high call volumes", but that's what waiting is for. Lastly, how are we supposed to give you the paperwork you need, if you can't help us answer the questions we have on it?? Our office manager knew an employee who claimed she could help us get a better rate so she had John Wolfgram(scumbag) call us and sent him a statement from previous merchant processor, he said could give us sweetheart deal and could save us hundreds per month and credit us $500 to switch. They are collecting over double what I paid before and he won't return calls or e mails, they rarely answer phone or return calls and when you do reach someone they start a bs rate review process and string you along in definately with no answers or explanations. Didn't event need new terminals but they insisted and my lease is now double what it was before. $500 credit was a lie too, will never see it. Hiring an attorney now, so pissed. read more

Dealing with this company has been a disaster. I was told it was no problem to integrate with my POS without additional equipment and the transition would be smooth. I signed up in June 2018 as of today I am simply paying for a service I am not using. I called the Account Executive (Chris Carlstrom) last month he blew me off and directed me to call customer service. I would have given them a 0 or less if I could. What I got was not what the salesman and I agreed on when he called me. Do not trust any company that calls you unless you check them out thoroughly. When I talked with the first salesman who called me, I told him I would be willing to try their services as long as I could cancel without penalty. The original salesman who spoke with me on the phone said the termination fee would be $450, however he said he would credit $450 to my account which would be equal to the termination fee. After I gave them information about my bank account they then took large amounts of money out of my bank account. They said that was to cover taxes for the next four or five years. They also said I would be liable for large fees that would be due over the next four years, even after I canceled. When I canceled I was told by Kade that I needed to pay fees for four years even though I would not be using their services any more. These fees came to more than $3,792. They did not tell me I could have bought the machine for $400 which I believe would have saved me about $3,392. Kade said my credit rating and my ability to process credit cards would be ruined if I did not pay them. I only plugged the machine in long enough to process one credit card before I told the company to cancel my account with them. The credit card machine is very small (approximately 3 inches, by 4 inches, by 7 inches. I told Kade that I wanted to return the credit card machine which is still in the original wrapper and still in the original box that it came in. He still has not told me how I can return it. I need something in writing saying that I can return it, and what would be the proper procedure for me to return it. I don't know if I can trust these people, however I am willing to communicate with them in order to bring this to a settlement. Of course, I will never do business with them ever again. read more

And, you will have a 4 year lease on your credit card terminal. You don't ever have to pay for this with any other processors. You can specifically say no to the leased equipment, and Charlie WILL slip it in the contract he's selling you. Blatant criminal. That will run 129.00 a month plus tax. Told me the 129.00 was in place of the pages of fee's. You will get the pages of fee's and find out you were screwed with the lease fraudulently added. Please hang up on these frauds. To trap you in their nightmare, they jack up the early termination fee (ETF ) if you want to leave them before they put you out of business. As most processors charge $298.00 to $495.00 to move on, this predatory bunch charged me $2287.00 to get away from them. I offer these instructions to each company defrauded by National Payment Systems and all the companies within their agreed chain of slick deception. 1. File a local police report in the city of your business. 2. Have your local police department connect that filed report to the Vancouver, WA, police department and sheriff's department. That starts the investigation. This instruction comes from Vancouver, Washington officer badge number 1275 who files reports. 3. File a report with your local attorney general for your state. You will receive a report number. Follow through so your state's attorney general will report this to the Washington state attorney general 360.759.2150 and 206.464.6686. 4. There is a National Consumer Protection Act, which has a multiplicity of actions that can be filed against companies like Direct Processors, which is a National Payment Systems company. This your attorney can use. Please know that in your city, you can find an attorney whose niche is Consumer Protection, and also attorneys have a niche for credit card fraud. You can go to your local courthouse to find attorney's name who have won cases for Consumer Protection and credit card fraud. 5. Jon Wolfgram, whose name really may not be Jon Wolfgram [JErickson@DirectProcessors.com] will NOT disclose the following to you, which is illegal. He will NOT tell you that your company's private bank information will be provided to three companies you know NOTHING about. He [and the other sales agents] will not disclose this. Clearly given we live in the United States, there are financial disclosure laws. Your company's banking information will be provided to Merchant Solutions Center, but Jon Wolfgram, nor anyone at Direct Processors will ask you for permission to do this. The second company that will receive your private banking info without your permission is First Data. Now please understand this is NOT the legitimate First Data headquartered in Atlanta -- a most reputable company. Even if you say repeatedly to Direct Processors that all our transactions are processed online, we don't need a credit card machine -- you'll receive two credit card machines. Reject receipt of the package, because the so-called Account Managers, like Holli P. [503.889.0240] at Merchant Solutions Center will not provide an address for you to return the machines to. But let's not forget, Jon Wolfgram and the other deceptive people on the sales team of Direct Processors will tell you, "We've worked here for 17 years and are on salary." That will be followed by, we'll provide you with our cell phone number [360.214.4793] if you have any problems. Forget that. Legitimate businesses actually record a professional voicemail. So, you'd kinda think based on the initial sales conversation [that creates an oral contract] that Jon Wolfgram, for example, would be your Account Manager. No, he doesn't disclose that. 5. Now, back to First Data. It is NOT the legitimate First Data headquartered in Atlanta. Please note none of these companies will use their last names, even in their email signature, like a legitimate company. Please note none of the companies under the umbrella of National Payment Systems will include a business address like legitimate companies -- even in the welcome emails. If you call the numbers listed for First Data, you're connected with people who have an accent of people in East India. If you try to call the 800 number for 24/7 support, you'll receive a voice recording. When 8 am finally arrives, the opening time, you'll receive a different voicemail giving a new time of 8:30 am and you have to leave a message. Isn't that good -- screening the calls. This is not how the legitimate First Data operates. National Payments Systems' companies, like Merchant Solutions Center and Direct Processors, even go so far as to format their statements like the real First Data headquartered in Atlanta -- this includes even the colors they use. They even go as far as providing a URL that would make a consumer think it's really a landing page for the legitimate First Data headquartered in ATL. 6. DO NOT FALL FOR THE 100% lie that the rate is 1%. That's the golden statement to lure your company's representation in. I'd encourage you to compute the rate, and you'll see it's closer to 6% per transaction. These are supposedly financial professionals, right. So Holli P., the so-called Account Manager at Merchant Solutions Center, said how are we suppose to know what Authorize.net charges. Well, it seems that the sales team at Direct Processors and all the other deceptive sister companies of National Payment Systems knows that Authorize.net assesses a $0.10 fee per transaction. If you don't know the rate, then how would you know that? See, honesty and integrity is so much more attractive. The beauty of the United States is that we have laws. And deceptive companies like the entire family of National Payment Systems, will fall. read more

This company has independent sales persons that sell their service and another company (First Data Global Leasing) that provides the equipment. When their sales person (Rose) told me how they could reduce the fees I was paying with my current provider I was interested because my current provider had tacked on a bunch of fees and taxes they didn't tell me about. Rose assured me that they would help me get out of my current contract and it would only cost about $295 and they would cover that. I told her my equipment lease said it was non-cancellable and she assured me that wasn't a problem. (a lie) When I contacted my current provider they told me there was no way their leasing affiliate would let me out of my current lease without paying the full amount of the remaining payments. I contacted Direct Processor's and tried to cancel the agreement they refused even though I have never used their service or equipment . It looks as though l got scammed out of about $5000 by a very unethical and deceptive company be very careful about putting your signature on something without double checking the fine print and the truth of what you are told. read more

Direct Processors uses First Data to lease the machine for 4 years, for thousands of dollars, when you can get a machine for less than $500. Go to your local neighborhood bank - they will treat you right, and if you have any problems, you can find the bank and get it resolved. It took a real hassle to be relieved from this scam. I give them 1 star because zero stars isn't am option. Totally misrepresented program. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. I was told my rate would be 0% debit 1% credit with a 10 cent swipe fee for VI MC DISC. Amex would be more. There would be a $149 per month fee which would cover equipment, misc charges etc. I REPEATEDLY asked about statement fees, rates on reward cards, PCI Compliance fees, and was REPEATEDLY told all those would be part of the $149 per month fee. We went over the contract item by item and I was told all the extra fees would only apply in very limited circumstances like international cards and government cards. Turns out about half of all cards are subject to something called a downgrade surcharge of 2.99%. SO if your contract has ANYTHING but EXACTLY what they told you then don't sign. Do not rely on any verbal explanation of the fees and what they apply to. If you do sign with them get the salesman's number and call him back so you can confront him when you get your statements. Also record the conversation (for quality control purposes!!). One more thing, Wait until the 1st of the month to sign anything as they charge fees from the sign date. Better yet LOOK ELSEWHERE. I've been having a few merchant companies, and this is the worse merchant company I ever had. I had a flat rate 1.7% with my merchant, and they called and convinced me even though I declined, but they kept insisting, convincing and promising me that they could help save $400-$500/month. After the first month they charged me the processing fee $400-$500 more than I paid for the previous merchant company. I tried to call the sale guy and sale manager who rushed me sign up the contract, and they didn't want to talk to me, and they told me and transferred me over to customer service. The sale man is Chris carlstrom, and the sale manger is Rachel baker. Please don't get any services from them. You'll lose a lot of time and money if you have their service. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT SELECT THIS COMPANY AS A CREDIT CARD PROCESSOR. They tell you one thing and do another. We were assured that all cards would be processed at 1% interest rate, and the only outlier that would be would be Government Credit Cards that would run 2.99%. They indicated that because of use being a Prom and Bridal Store we wouldn't have to worry about that. We just got our first statement and we are being charged 2.99% for all rewards cards, which are in large part, our business, because of the cost of bridal gowns and people wanting to get those rewards points. When trying to contact Warren and Jon, neither would return our phone calls or emails. We were hung up on by "Bill" and never allowed the opportunity to speak with Warren or Jon. We have filed complaints with the BBB, Indiana State Attorney General and Washington State Attorney General. Stay away from this company. They are only out to get you to sign a contrat and then screw you over after that. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Lied to about my contract by Merchant Solution Center who recruits for direct processors. Was told I could do a month to month contract with a $250 cancellation fee. They "analyzed" my current processing statement and were adamant I would save money with them. Ended up paying $700 more over 3 months than my previous processor. Every time I called they gave me the run around and never fixed the problem. When I cancelled, they proceeded to try to charge me $4000 for a cancellation fee saying I was in a 36 mth contract. After numerous calls and never being able to speak to the supervisor, Sierra, they "reduced" my cancellation fee to $1000! They refused to listen to my complaints about being lied to and insisted there was nothing else they could do. I sent a long letter outlining everything and still no response from anybody in charge. They are liers and cheats!!! They should be out of business by now the way they treat their customers. I am absolutely livid. They are threatening to send me to the collectors if I don't pay. This company is a joke. Taking advantage of small business by lying to get you to switch then not standing on what they said they would. Victoria was quick to get me to sign, even telling me if my husband didn't agree with it all we had 30 days to cancel. We run a riding stable in the middle of a national forest and I was very clear with them that I DID NOT HAVE POWER NOR DO I HAVE CELL SERVICE!!! She insisted that the equipment she was sending me would work through just an old telephone line (which we have) and if it didn't work we could send it back and get out of the contract. When it came in and DIDN'T work she refused to answer my phone calls and the people I did speak to said there was nothing they could do that I signed on the dotted line and would be with them for the next 48 months. Also we are now under a 48 month contract, at $62 dollars a month, for a machine we CAN NOT use and that if you bought straight out would only cost about $500 dollars!!! we are in the process of contacting the BBB and our attorneys office. If any of you out there have had issues with this company, PLEASE contact the BBB and together we can take them out of business!!! read more
