We bought an Ashley Cannonbrook sectional that was delivered in August 2024. Within about 100 days of normal family use, the seats were sagging, the cushions lost their shape, and one of the main seams ripped open so the inside material is exposed. This is not normal wear and tear for a new sectional. Furniture of Dalton submitted a claim to Ashley, but Ashley called it normal wear and tear and only offered filler and casings with no labor. After that, the store told me they could not do anything further to help. When I spoke with Terry Parmer, I did not feel like he was trying to find a solution. As a Client Relations Manager myself, the way this was handled felt very dismissive and focused on deflecting responsibility rather than taking care of a longtime customer. At this point I have had to go through my bank, BBB, and consumer protection just to try to get a fair resolution. All I am asking for is a refund and for them to pick up the defective sectional. Based on this experience, I would not purchase from Furniture of Dalton again.

The guys in the shipping department were also helpful and careful with our purchases. They have an outlet store that almost shares the same parking lot. Be sure to price check! This shop (a tad out of the way and located on a shady side street behind the Main Street area of downtown Calhoun) was actually recommended to my husband and myself by another local business owner. She thought I'd love it and probably be able to find something interesting for the house and she was right! This shop is filled wall to wall with scads of super cute home decor, accessories, boutique clothing g and jewelry. It has a little of this and that, in other words. It definitely my cup of tea and truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here redecorating my place, but I showed restraint and curbed my impulse to shop a bit, so I would up picking up some moderately-priced decor items and let it go at that. I'm sure my husband was pleased by that! In the end, I grabbed some items with a distinct mercury glass motif and a candle. Everything was gorgeous, eclectic and most of it seemed moderately-priced, but the larger decorative accents and custom handbags were obviously pricier. The lady the owns the store was super nice and helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Next time I'm in town (my family lives nearby), I'll be certain to come back for another shopping trip and this time I'm gonna delve into the clothing and accessories section a tad more. It looked super eclectic when I scoped the racks, but my eye was drawn more to the decor side of the boutique. Though I didn't splurge that much on this trip, I did come away with some interesting ideas for redecorating and updating my house, so that's awesome. The store is a decorator's paradise chock full of great design inspiration. It felt like I walked into a layout for Domino or Elle Decor magazine. Great selections and first rate service.

This is hands down the cutest shop of antiquities on the square. There are a variety of items such as home decor, candles, collectibles, clothing, furniture and more. Everything is beautifully staged and I am just floored at how generous they are to just have these things out and accessible to the public. There were some pieces that obviously date back to the Civil War that were on full display, (not behind glass as one might expect). Kinda scary, kinda cool! I actually had to tell my husband not to touch because that is the first thing people will want to do. These pieces were not for sale. The beautiful historic building that housed this store is quite a big deal. It is just really something to appreciate with its large detailed windows, brick walls, wooden floors and sweeping stairway. The stairway was actually added after the fact and leads to a second level where dinner shows are staged. This store is very cool and something everyone should see when visiting the town of Adairsville!

"Sit down and relax for a while, that's what we do." Even brought a bowl of fresh water for my dog while I sat in a rocking chair. So kind! The shop displays looked fascinating, and there was also a fresh produce stand outside selling melons and peppers etc from a Mennonite farm. I wound up buying an adorable children's book, "Grinnin' Possum," written by the store owner. When I return to Mentone, a nice long browse of antiques at the Possum Emporium will be on my agenda... Look for signs, the store is not directly on the highway, but just a short distance up the side road.
