Just started going here and the staff are very professional!!! I walked in and explained the project I'm doing... She advised me on what kind of material to use and the difference... She radios the operator on the equipment and he shows you where to park to load... The operator beeps and you are done. Took maybe 15 minutes and I was back on the road again... Highly Recommend!!! I went for topsoil and compost. 4.75 stars. Super fast service and very convenient. Helpful staff. I'm talking in and out fast. It's not the cheapest place but it's not super expensive either. A lot of different products to choose from. I went four times and each time was the same. No negative experiences. I recommend this place for your projects. I'm relatively new to Ocala area and went to Dirt Pile based on recommendations from a FB group. Turns out there are places to go closer to me in Dunnellon but I felt it was a happy accident to go this far from home. I didn't know what to use for footing in my vintage 30'x60' open barn. I got great advice from the Dirt Pile owner but while I was in the yard looking over the options another customer came to me and said, I'm in the business of building horse barns and what you want is limestone dust. I bought and installed it with my tractor and couldn't be happier. The owner of Dirt Pile strongly suggested I get a full truck rather than just 14 yds, which I did and she was absolutely right. I can't say how much I love these people. They've been around for forever it seems like. They answer all my questions and help me choose the best soil for my plants. I like to bring my dog, and she loves the free treats and belly rubs from the owners. They are very knowledgeable and help their customers the extra mile. Truly a genuine family owned business that I can't recommend enough. read more

The driver accidentally drove over this metal plate cover in the middle of my son's front yard and he was nice, said it was his fault and we could call the office but the woman who runs the place and answers the phone was defensive & wouldn't acknowledge anything, not even to offer a discount on the next order.
