My fiance and I are both avid cooks. Our kitchen, though well-appointed with kitchen gadgetry and exotic spices, was disastrously disorganized and gruesomely grimy. We needed help. To our rescue came Dirty Girl Cleaners, a new cleaning service catering to the Columbus metro area. "They won't... we will!" is their motto, and the girls certainly lived up to our expectations. No pre-cleaning was required for their visit. I made cookies before they arrived, and left the mixing bowl and utensils in the sink, along with a few dishes from the previous night's dinner. I didn't have to dust, clear surfaces, or empty shelves. The girls tackled it all. Jaqy and Michelle arrived promptly at 2:00 p.m. and wasted no time getting down to their dirty business. With environmentally-friendly cleaning products, some house-made, they eradicated grease, busted dust and annihilated odors. They don't have a lot of fancy cleaning gadgets. They get everything done with dusters, rags, paper towels, and a small shop vac. They washed the dishes, scrubbed every surface (including the floors), and thoroughly cleaned the inside of our oven and fridge. (Yes, even the fridge!) In addition, the Dirty Girls organized our shelves, cleaned out our cabinets, got rid of expired goods, and even wiped down all of the bottles, tins and containers in our cluttered pantry. Throughout the cleaning, the girls were very respectful of our home, our property and our cats. Since the girls offer a "first hour free" discount to members of SBB (Small Business Beanstalk), the end cost was less than we had expected to pay. Bonus! Bottom line: I would highly recommend Dirty Girl Cleaners to anyone who needs help cleaning and organizing their home. We will definitely consider using their services again. These girls are AMAZING!!! I got a quote from them to clean a property that we were vacating after renting it for 2 years. I needed a deep clean to bathrooms, the kitchen (including oven, microwave, cupboards, drawers, and fridge), and mopping all the tile floors (about 1/2 of the house). For 3 hours of work and 2 girls it was $180. I was willing to pay that to not have to clean the appliances. They cleaned for the entire time and totally blew away my expectations! Michelle is a saint! She came to my rescue after another cleaning company failed to follow through with an appointment. I had a tenant moving in on Friday -I called Dirty Girls on Tuesday and was able to schedule a cleaning on Thursday. Michelle understood my urgency and totally came to the rescue. She did an amazing job getting the house spic and span for my new tenant. Their pricing is very reasonable and totally worth it if you are moving in or out of a home. When I was moving out, the worst part was keeping all the cleaning products out and making sure nothing was packed that I'd need to do the final run through. My earlier review stands: this service is fantastic and I'm grateful for them. My partner and I moved into a spacious house with lots of nooks and crannies--and *two* bathrooms to clean. Neither of us really enjoys cleaning and we don't have enough time to do a deep cleaning. Enter Dirty Girl Cleaners. They mop, vacuum, dust. They move quickly and efficiently. They're friendly and professional. They're thorough. And if they miss anything (hey, no one's perfect; we've all been there), I just have to write them a quick email, and they come right back as soon as they can to make it all right. When I read the negative reviews for Dirty Girl Cleaners, I wonder whether the reviewers ever gave the cleaning service any feedback. I think that, as far as possible, one should give people feedback and give them a chance to fix anything that they might have missed. I've found that Michelle and her team are responsive and, when I say that they missed something, they are quick to come by and fix it--there's no haggling or questioning. I get that it can be stressful and uncomfortable to tell someone that they didn't do a good enough job. But if you don't give them the feedback, then how will they fix it, and know for next time? I was impressed when Megan first came to the house and they did the deep clean. The house was ok for awhile after that, but the cleaners started to forget things or weren't doing things thoroughly. I would address issues with Michelle; she always seemed willing to address problems. I pretty much asked NOT to have one particular person assigned because it was obvious to me that this person cut corners and was not thorough. As others have stated, it starts out decent, but the quality dissipates. I got tired of complaining and bringing things to the owner's attention. I have been using Dirty Girl Cleaners now since, oh, about June I think. In that span, I have had them come out 5-6 times to clean. I live in a very large house, all by myself, and it is simply too much to maintain for one person. The reviews, at least last spring, were somewhat inconsistent, ranging between very bad and very good, so I put off giving it a go for a short while, but I'm glad I finally got around to it because I found the cleaning job they do to be very professional and thorough. Michelle and her crew are easy to work with, receptive to special needs, and have always done right by me. I recommend them over larger companies for sure. This is one of the worst cleaning experiences I have ever had. Overpriced, left it a little cleaner than when they cane. One of the cleaners was too busy talking to her boyfriend than doing her job. I thought that the owner handled the tips but I was wrong. The cleaners had a high pressure tactic to tip them. I relented and tipped but in the end, I was resentful. My place was a train wreck and I didn't have the time or the energy to get it in order while moving out. They gave me an hourly quote that was around half of what some other places charged, and the Yelp reviews were mostly positive, so I chose them. Lucky ladies! They got to spend close to 8 hours cleaning out two floors plus a basement that I had only superficially cleaned for the five years I lived there. They scrubbed the tub, cleaned out the fridge and oven, vacuumed, mopped, etc. My landlord actually thanked me for leaving the apartment so clean after I moved out! The only criticisms are minor - they forgot to mop the floor in the half bath, but that only took me a few minutes to clean up as it's a tiny room. I think they might have slightly exaggerated the amount of time it took them to finish, but they still wound up being way cheaper than anyone else, so it didn't matter. Finally, once you book an appointment, you don't hear from them again until they show up. Not a huge deal, but an email confirmation or text would be helpful. None of these criticisms are dealbreakers, and I would use them again and recommend them in a heartbeat! I had a great experience with these folks. My wife and I bought a house and quickly realized the previous owners hadn't ever vacuumed behind any of their furniture or cleaned the baseboards. Three very nice ladies came out and cleaned it all up. Only with a few days notice as well. The wood blinds, the carpets, all the hard surface floors, and the dusting. So much dust. Negatives: Like another reviewer said, unless you get Megan you are going to be left disappointed eventually. It's a business with a good amount of turnover. Lots of new faces, which meant they were slower and less efficient. I had a lot of times where whole areas were forgotten. The owner worked with me the first time or two of the complaints. But then after that I was told I should look elsewhere for a cleaner because they couldn't always stick the same person to clean my home. I just felt like these issues kept happening and weren't being corrected. I also had times where they would read any paperwork left out. They would also look at my calendar on the wall. Just distracted and slow. Positives: They were always on time or if they weren't they called ahead to let me know. Most handled the large dog and four kids well enough. I can not say enough complimentary things about the professionalism and level of care that this company brings to their work. We use this service on a monthly basis and they impress us every time they come to our house. More recently, we had contractors working at our house. The contractors were not finished by the time DGC were wrapping up their work. DGC made a point of sending someone out to our house, later in the day, to make sure that the contractors didn't leave the house a mess. Such reliable service! Can't thank them enough. There is no job, and I mean NO job that is too dirty for Dirty Girl Cleaners. Their motto is "When they say no, we say yes". They've done several "deep cleans" over the years for our rental property, including degreasing a kitchen (not just the stove, the entire kitchen was covered in grease y'all!), and emptying a wet basement where everything was sitting in mold. Michelle and company arrived on time and were professional and courteous and the place was move-in ready each time. I'm not sure about some of the older reviews but our emails and phone calls were always returned promptly. I just moved to town, and hired dirty girl based on these reviews. Well, I was charged $180 for a tiny 600 sq ft apartment, and it was not cleaned well at all, let alone the deep clean I requested. I had them come clean my house twice. They did a wonderful job, were friendly, and use all natural products so my house smelled great. At that point I decided I wanted them to come on a regular basis. So I called to schedule a regular cleaning and left a voicemail. The call was never returned. I proceeded to email them twice and leave one more voicemail and no one ever got back to me. Very poor customer service. It's really too bad because I would have used them regularly. read more
