By 8:15am the truck pulled up & took about 10 boxes & a lot of other things including clothes. The young man who picked everything up was very polite & friendly!! I'd heard of the Legion through my Military friends, but since my hubby and I are always on the go and finding new hip places to go with different activities, this just never came up. Even though it's literally on our very own backyard. The drink specials alone are enough to keep us here every weekend. There is however, a membership fee for Military, but it is very very minimal. Both my friend and my hubby are Veterans so it worked out great. The bar tenders are friendly and not afraid to try something new if they have the ingredients to make it. I literally showed them a recipe for a drink that he wanted and they looked it over a couple of times and had it ready within minutes. We will certainly go back. Not just the prices, but the comradeship of the Veterans sure makes everyone feel welcomed.

They charge $10 a person to get in as a cover, and we found out that the air conditioning in the building was broken and they should've customers that before hand and also should not have a fee to get in to come into a place with no air only had two or three fans going on inside the whole building building for the whole night. Very unprofessional, the air broke and two still charging people to come in at a hot establishment, not being made aware of the condition that the establishment is in. We stayed for about two hours at the max to order our food and listen to some good music and then we left to go somewhere else because it was extremely too hot in. The future, the business owner and staff workers should make it prevalent that all guests are aware when there's an issue going on in the building and or to close the establishment until the issue is resolved no restaurant or business without air conditioning in the summertime when the weather is over 110° daily.

Stopped in here to check the place out. It is a bit hidden, being around the corner from the front of the plaza, but there's good signage. Plenty of parking. The new location opened up about six months prior, and they decided to move because their old location was too small and membership was growing, and they didn't have any options for expansion. Here, the place is about 2-3 times as big and the neighboring business has already mentioned they might sell to the post in the future, because they belief in our cause. The post has done a lot of work to the place. It was an old, run down motorcycle bar and they've redone the floors, and done work on the bathrooms, bar, and kitchen. They just hired a kitchen team and food so far has been real good, with an emphasis on smoked meats. One con about the place is, as of now, there is no designated smoking section but they try to keep the smokers on one half of the bar if they wanna stay inside to smoke. Most days you don't notice it but I hope they are able to change that in the future. The people are friendly. Like, more friendly than I would have thought possible. My first time in I just went for some basic information and ended up staying for three hours. Second time in I ended up staying late and ordering food. Transferred my membership here last month. Don't be put off by the fact the front door isn't unlocked. Just ring the door bell during business hours. There's riff raff in the neighborhood - just trying to keep them out. Right now the bar is open only to members but we do have events open to the public that have been going really well, like car shows and motorcycle events. You can become a member if you're a military veteran in good standing. You can also become a member of the Auxiliary if you're the spouse or widow of a veteran, or if you are the son of a veteran (SAL), so there are options. The post isn't full of old timers either, we had quite a few younger members and some of which are still serving. As of last meeting, we're up 20+ members, most of which are transfers, like me.

This is a place you could go to solo and yet you won't be alone. The food selection is amazing for bar food but the kitchen is not always open. The alcohol is low cost and if you play your cards right a "regular" might even show you the trick on how to get the quarter in the shot glass t the bottom of the fish tank to win a beer. (It took me one try.) The downside is that this is a membership bar. You will either need to be military, former military, or an invitee of a member to go inside. Expect to pay about $60 a year to maintain membership.

All I know is that for this past year (it is now March 2026), every time I try to sign up for something that Heidi Heniger is in charge of/decides who gets selected to attend, I DON'T get selected. It's supposed to be based on if you've attended an event recently (as in, those who haven't attended an event recently get selected first), how many events you have attended recently, etc. In this last year, I've attended 3 events: a 12 week Personal Training FYI session (not sure if there is a limit in capacity for that) in May 2025 and two sessions for the First Friday Walking Club (which I don't believe anyone is denied as it is outside at a park, so there is essentially unlimited space) in June and September 2025. Prior to that, going back to July 2024, I attended 3 virtual events and 1 in-person event. In this last year, I have attempted to sign up for a spring training game, a garden event and this recent sound bath event. All have been with Heidi and all have been denied. After this recent denial for the sound bath event I emailed Heidi and asked if there is something I needed to do to get selected. I never received a response. Since I didn't receive any emails or communication from Heidi, I spoke with another WWP POC of mine at a different office since I can't seem to get ahold of anyone at this office here in Phoenix. After they spoke, I was told that the reason for my continual denial was some coding thing that was wrong in the system. Yet I can get approved for online things or when someone else runs it, but not Heidi? And Heidi never contacted me about this? Never responded to my email when I asked what can I do to get approved? All I received was the standard denial email stating "Regretfully, I am unable to accept your registration for this event due to the high interest and limited number of spots available." Yeah, that's BS and we all know it. Oh, and I had signed up 8 days prior to this denial email AND the sound bath event stayed open for registration for at least a day after I received this denial as well. I have still received no communication from Heidi. If this coding error was truly the case, you'd think she would want to respond to me herself and clear things up. I don't know what is going on here...are these events actually being held? Do others get approved for these and it's just me who keeps getting denied? Or are they just listing events but not actually doing them and just pocketing the money? Whatever is going on, they need to be looked into and it seems like they need a HUGE overhaul.

He is nearly blind but because of the adaptive bike he rode he was able to be independent. Not having to have to steer the bike as there was also another rider steering on the tandem bicycle. We met so many amazing people both staff and people that came to the event. We did yoga to help relax, it was really geared for the people that were there. The staff was simply amazing. They talked to each person as if they were family & loved ones. Everyone was included no one was left out no one was left behind. This is an event that I wish every soldier could go on after their service. It's that amazing! Thank you to all the donate to the Wounded Warrior project and make this available. And thank you to the wonderful people that put it on.
