It occurred to me how nice, clean, and brightly lit this storage facility is. I've been coming here for close to five years now, and it's been so consistently comfortable, clean, I've always felt secure and safe there. All the motion lights work, and the bathrooms are kept remarkable clean. All that doesn't just happen by itself, so I went into the office and had to shake the hand of the person responsible, Maria, and thank her personally. It's nearly impossible to find anyone actually working there during normal business hours. I've made multiple trips on different days--mornings, afternoons, even returning at the exact times listed on their "be back soon" signs--and the office is still locked and empty almost every time. It's clear that staff presence and accountability are not a priority here. The condition of the property is just as bad. The roll-up door seals on the units are old, cracked, and rotted, allowing dust, dirt, rain, and pests to get inside. The annex that's advertised as "climate controlled" is anything but--it's poorly sealed and barely monitored. On top of that, there are rodent issues throughout the facility, and cleanliness is not maintained. The management behavior is what finally pushed me to move out. The site manager, Lylah, repeatedly promised that my rent would be prorated if I vacated early, despite the company's own written policy clearly stating they do not prorate under any circumstances (something easily confirmed on their website). When I cleared out and swept my unit, management suddenly began calling me daily to "finalize the closeout," yet every time I went to the office, no one was there--just another note on the door. To make matters worse, management seems to enter units at their own discretion, even when accounts are paid and in good standing. That's a serious breach of trust and privacy.

This is a truly terrible business. I rented a small storage unit for $35 per month. Within three…read moremonths, without notification, this company raised the monthly rate for the tiny space to $50 per month. Several months later, again, without notification, the awful, unethical business raised the monthly fee another $29, bringing it to $79 per month. This is more than a 100% increase in fees in one year's period of time. I have reported them, today, with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department. They should be closed down and prosecuted.
