I had an appointment for a tire rotation - a free service they offer when you buy tires from them. (Which I had.) The gentleman that checked in my car noticed I had a tire sensor light on, and asked if I was aware of it. I was. In fact, I'd had another company in town look at the sensors, but they couldn't figure out which ones were out, so they guessed and changed one. When I got home I noticed something hanging underneath my car so I took the tire off and there was debris from the blowout wrapped all around the brake mechanism. They didn't even bother to remove it. I guess because they already had my money they just slapped a tire on it. read more

Background - In October of last year I was traveling to Dallas in a 2022 Infiniti and noticed my left rear tire was losing pressure. I was meeting my daughter at a restaurant so I called a mobile repair service to fix it. And they did. Fast forward to Sunday, June 23rd and am going to Dallas once more to again find the same tire low. I figure out it is a slow leak because I had driven the vehicle 2 days before and it wasn't low then. I put air in the tire and proceed. Then Wednesday , June 26th the tire has lost 8 pounds since Sunday so off to Discount to check it Thursday . So after 2.5 hrs there I am told that the patch from October was meant to be a temporary patch and the tire was ruined at that point. They did not have that tire in stock but were happy to order one at $300+. The inside of my vehicle (arm rests and seats were filthy were the guys had been sweating and dirty). I seem to remember that I bought tire and wheel protection when I bought my car so I called my dealer and sure enough they can replace it at NC. I go down to the dealer Friday, June 28th and they tell me the tire is not ruined at all and is in great shape and patch the spot with a permanent repair. Should have no issues for the life of the tire. Why couldn't discount do that? read more

This particular Discount Tire is alright. In person customer service is great if you can get in and talk to someone. However, the location is absolutely horrible. The parking lot is small and there is debris all over the lot. They need to relocate and make the place larger. Even going to strictly appointment only would be better at the current location. When the place gets super busy, do not expect quick service. FYI, this goes for all Discount Tire locations. I've been to multiple and they all have the same issues. read more

My car needs 4 tires so I stopped by Discount Tires to get an estimate. I was quoted $910.70 for all four tires. The tires are $187 each, plus the labor charge is $100 bucks. I live 45 minutes away from this location. I had to travel there to go to my bank. Was noticing my car was acting funny in the tires. Stopped there got out of my car. All garage doors were open but no one acknowledged me. So I walked to go inside. Door was locked. I then realize they are closed. But absolutely no reason to ignore a customer in the parking lot. No one came to me and said I'm sorry we are closed. There was even a man inside mopping. So I walked back to the garages a man was pulling a car out stopped asked if it were mine and I said no but ..... and as I was speaking her drove away. Stood there still as they were closing the garages with them inside them. As I do understand they were closed I had one request that took Texas tires up the road 10 minutes. I went in to have my tires rotated. They quoted me a wait time of 45 min. That wasn't too bad considering how many people were in the wait area. I drive a 2016 vehicle with tan, leather interior. When they announced my name I went outside. They handed me my key fob and when I opened the door there were greasy fingerprints on the seat back and arm rest. If I hadn't been in such a hurry to leave I would've requested a wipe down. Just be forewarned and check your interior before driving away. read more

Blew a tire in Missouri on the way down to Wichita Falls from Michigan. Started losing air in newly replaced tire immediately. Went to Discount Tire the day after arriving in Wichita Falls with a nearly flat tire. They used a bubbling solution to show that the tire was leaking from the stem area. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and they had the stem replaced within a half hour. Tire is solid and they practically gave away their time and expertise. Could not be more impressed. To say this discount tire has to be one of the best in Texas. The young man Landon that helped me was beyond helpful. They didn't have the wheel in stock that we needed, but Landon went above and beyond to make sure were taken care of as best he could. I know I ran the poor kid ragged trying to help me out. Waited 30 minutes for truck to be taken into service bay and 15 minutes later I was driving to Jimmy John's. May look busy but fast and efficient. I ordered my tires on line which saved me time!!!! Then he told me they don't do alignments and when I asked if he knew of any places in the area that did, he replied "about any tire shop, ya know?". Had a very small screw in a tire less than 18 months old with under 3000 miles on it. Brought in the tire for puncture repair. Received a call an hour later saying the repair was completed by that there was a separate large gash on the inside of the tire. Returned to see that there was a large gash to the inside of the tire down to the steel belts. They said the tire was not repairable eventhough they had already fixed the screw puncture. They had no explanation for the damage to the tire but said they would order a new one at my expense. Very suspicious. Though I can't say for sure if their crew damaged it while removing the tire or if it was done when the tire was initially set on the rim, to me the damage looked "fresh." And it's difficult for me to believe that this large damaged area would have been missed as they were fixing the initial puncture. Just Be aware.......I won't be using them in the future. read more

Passing through Wichita Falls on our way to moving from Albuquerque to Florida I popped a tire. I called a few places around us frantically hoping we could be helped. A few others didn't have the tires we needed so I ended up on the phone with Colton from discount tires. He was so nice and understood I needed to get this fixed asap. My husband and I had a total of four pets in our two cars, and it was 90 degrees outside. We kept the cats in his truck with the AC on and the puppies were outside but were getting in the way and being bad. I don't know if they're really allowed inside but the guys let us bring them inside (where it was much cooler) where they finally chilled out and laid down. I was embarrassed but everyone understood our circumstances and how stressed we were. Fortunately the dogs behaved so if higher management sees this and wants to punish anyone please don't. Also four decent tires for less than $500 gets five stars. Also the wait was not bad at all. I'm so glad the closer tire places didn't have what we needed because we had a great experience with discount tire and all the employees. read more

Awful service, poor poor poor quality of work, rude employees, disorganized management. Overall, worst experience I've ever had at a garage. I wrote out my entire story in this post, but yelp said it was too large. So, to keep it short, I bought four new tires from this shop a month ago and proceeded to have all kinds of trouble with them. The replacement sensor that was ordered a week ago never arrived, and the guy who I spoke on the phone with today at first said, "Oh yeah, I think I was the one who ordered that for you last Saturday." After looking up my information he said, "I don't see that an order was put in for a sensor for your car." Then he continued to play dumb and pointlessly promise that the part will arrive on Monday. I am so incredibly unhappy with DT's service. I wish that I would've paid twice the amount for a set of tires at another garage because now I'm stuck with the most incompetently-run establishment in the state of Texas.
