I visit this church about twice a year for their Christmas and Easter musicals. This church is huge they recently changed their name from Oak Creek Assembly of God to Discover Church. They are going for a more inclusive name that people would be drawn to. The church is one of those mega churches. Has a cafeteria, coffee shop, bookstore, multiple children areas, a gym, and chapel and huge sanctuary where they put on almost Broadway level productions free to the public to spread the word about God. They have some of the friendliest people there. From the greeters to members to staff everyone just has a pleasant spirit and makes you feel welcomed. I don't know what there ordinary services are like but their Christmas and Easter productions are spectacular, have been going for years. read more

I have had over 20 years of experiencing and witnessing this church grow and evolve. During this time the steady wisdom and hand of a true man of God, Pastor Brooks, is simply inspiring. Many of my friends who have attended either the Easter or Christmas musicals, who are NOT Christians, walked away feeling good thanks to the uplifting and genuine caring messages from Pastor Brooks and the entire pastoral staff. The people are very welcoming and genuinely care for you as well. Even if you don't make this your church home stop in and experience the church for yourself. I'm not sure where to start. This church embodies a Christ-centered community. They have multiple outreaches helping those in need both in the Milwaukee metro and abroad. They are a diverse congregation in age and in ethnicity. The leadership is solid and involved in congregants' lives and preaches from the Bible. Prayer is a big focus with an emphasis on listening and being aware of the Holy Spirit. Finally, there are many avenues to get plugged into community, despite its size. It does require one to be proactive however. read more

This church WRECKED my family and it's all because of their stance on LGBTQ individuals. Never in my life have I seen people act so hateful and condescending towards my family for having a gay family member. Our lives were completely normal before other members of our family decided to join this congregation. When you go to Discover Church's website, they give off the impression that they are all-accepting and all-welcoming. However, if you go to the actual Assemblies of God website (this is the denomination that Discover Church is) and start doing some digging, you will start finding articles about their views against LGBTQ individuals. Long story short, I now have a broken, divided family because of Discover Church. I'm pretty sure that a divided life is not the kind of life that God intends for families. I reached out to the church for some accountability and they blocked me on Facebook. How adult and mature of them. read more

This church is filled with the spirit of God. From the greeters to the the pastoral staff everyone makes you feel at home! Every single teaching that they give is Bible based and I appreciate the fact that they DO NOT sugar coat or try to change the teachings of the Bible. They make it a priority to reach all people all over the world. We are very blessed to be a part of this church family. If you are curious about this church, please stop by for a service on Sunday or Wednesday night. They have something for all ages and walks of life! read more

I took my family to this church today looking for possibly a church home. While this was my first visit we had a nice time; very friendly, excepting, and open experience. We took a tour with Daniel one of the greeters at the entrance. He was able to show us the entire church and even included a bit of the history dating back to 1969. You can see how the church has grown over the years. They have a little something for every member of the family, all age groups are covered. They have a multicultural congregation with out reach programs around the world. The Service (fairly normal) consisted of multiple sing-alongs, the scripture, one offering, the call to prayer, and the benediction. Multiple services on Sunday 8 AM, 1030AM, and 7PM. We even got an opportunity to experience a demo of their upcoming easter play. It was very entertaining and well done. While I'm not sure if this will become our future church home. I can say I thoroughly enjoyed the service, the people, and the fellowship. read more

I've attended OCAG for 10+ years now. This is a great church! The Bible and biblical principals are what you will see taught here. The primary objective of this church is to lead and point people towards God through biblical teaching. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to first love God and then second to love one another. (Matthew 22:34-40) If you are looking for a church that loves God and people, then you should visit Oak Creek Assembly. I would encourage any individual that is seeking God or a new church home to come visit Oak Creek Assembly of God and see what it's all about for yourself. this church has good sunday services but i would not recommend the youth group because from my experience if was not all that i am a sophomore in higher school and have been attending this church for a while was it was great at first the youth group was not enjoyable and over all toxic form the pastor blaming kid calling parents out of church for things they didn't do to spreading lies and rooms to parents and even my mom i would not recommend this youth group for people who are trying to get their kids to get their kids in a good community of friends it's not as amazing as they make it seam. read more

This church does not embody the values that I think are most important to a church. Instead of a soup kitchen or a food pantry, they have a high-end cafeteria and full coffee shop. Instead of local drives and advocacy for the poor and defenseless, there are big-budget, over-the-top theatrical productions. Instead of making everyone feel welcome in the house of God, there are constant references to all the people who are "not right" with God (e.g., gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, divorced, and otherwise "imperfect" individuals). read more
