Instead, I was met with **unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and a complete waste of time and money**. On August 3, I planned to take the **Yellow Route**, but guess what? **The bus never showed up!** There was **no notice, no warning, no apology**--just complete silence from the company. I stood at the **"Celtic" stadium stop** for **over an hour in scorching heat**, waiting for a bus that never arrived. Eventually, I had to **spend extra money on a taxi** just to get to the city centre. Because of this **shocking lack of service**, I **missed out on key tourist attractions** I had planned to visit. I **flew all the way to the UK**, paid for hotels, and invested time and money into this trip, only to have my plans ruined by this **unreliable company**. The **moral distress** of being stranded without explanation is just the icing on the cake. **Save your money and your sanity--DO NOT book with this company!** Zero stars if I could.

There were even 2 different recordings in English, one more historical and one music themed. My only wish is that it stopped closer to the botanical gardens. From there we made our way to Melrose for lunch and a tour of Melrose Abbey. We weren't able to tour inside since it's currently undergoing restoration but we were able to see the burial site of Robert the Bruce's' heart and walk the grounds. Next we made the drive to Hadrian's Wall and were able to walk along the wall where Roman soldiers stood in 122 AD; incredible! A couple of years ago, I took the Mac Tours City Tour when my dad and gran were up to visit. The thing that makes the tour distinctive is the use of the old style Routemaster buses. If you've ever travelled in London, you will know these very well. There's just something about them, and they now have a somewhat legendary status in bus circles. The route of the tour takes in both Old and New Town, along with the famous sights like the Castle, the Scott Monument and Holyrood Palace. There is commentary throughout, ensuring that you never miss anything important. This tour, as with any other, is best on a sunny day, and the weather was kind to us. Tickets can be bought at the bus departure point on Waverley Bridge, and prices are in line with what is to be expected from a bus tour. The ticket is valid for 24 hours, allowing you to hop on and hop off as you please. This was a very pleasant tour, and definitely worth doing if you appreciate the old style Routemaster bus.
